A place that's really hard to resist... This Windward Mall location is built fun as they have a separate parking and entrance without walking through the mall so little distraction as I do love my retail therapy and shopping at Ross and it's more of the appreciation not just the price but the selections that you're able to find all in one place...items for every room in your home and garden, keeping your personal space clean and tidy. Usually a hit or miss depends on the keen eye as well I noticed Nadine post of some Ohtani shirts at another location wondered if I'd find any here and surprisingly I did find a couple of styles and wondered if I should get one as well. Thank goodness I didn't have anything going on at the moment so mentally I didn't really have a checklist and did a quick browse. I just spent a bunch of money for a full shopping cart of things for our house and after check out learn that you cannot take the full shopping cart out of the store. No way to get all that stuff to my car! Absolutely ridiculous! Makes NO sense! Infuriating! Probably why I don't shop there often. It's not just this location. I hardly give bad reviews but my experience on (1/27/2024) was terrible! I was forced to leave while the "supervisor/manager on duty" told my family & I that the store closes in 4 minutes and they all wanted to go home already. Left the store at approximately at 10:04, FOUR minutes after closing, I used to prefer this location over Kaneohe bay but I was treated so poorly. DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS LOCATION. Store itself is fine. It's the very rude older woman cashier (associate #255315) that rang me up that needs to be replaced!!!! Rang me up and then when paying, tapped my card but it said unsuccessful. Her attention was elsewhere so told her it said that so she reset it and I tapped it again and then she snapped in a nasty tone you don't have to tap it so hard just tap it and proceeded to use her hands to demonstrate but it had already processed. Was going to comment on her rudeness but she had already walked away from the area without even saying thank you for the sale or for me to be done bagging. What a bi___!!! If you don't like your job, please leave and stop treating customers like sh__!!! You really need to adjust your attitude or leave as this makes this store's image very poor! I just went to another Ross yesterday and they were very busy but I still was greeted in the beginning and thanked at the end. I've always loved Ross. Great selection of merchandise (clothes, shoes, furniture, housewares, decorations, luggage, snacks, etc.) at great prices. Recently, we were reorganizing and redecorating our daughters' playroom. We stopped into Ross and found: a fuzzy area rug, two comfy chairs, small shelf, throw pillows, throw blanket and pina colada mix (for me). Talk about one stop shopping! We got everything we needed to outfit their room - and more. Staff was super friendly. A sales associate saw us lugging our items through the store. She brought a cart over to us and also helped us load everything in. Because they are located on the ground level of Windward Mall (where Sports Authority used to be), you can conveniently drive your car up to the parking lot entrance and load up. read more

I sadly just had a bad customer experience this morning. I intentionally came to the store to buy six large storage bins that i had already seen days prior . I have two small children, 3&1yrs. I knew I would not be able to bring my stroller, because of the balancing I would need to do with these bins. I placed the bins onto the cart, while trying to contain my kids. After I paid, the young lady tells me I am not able to take the cart to my car, and I must unload the bins inside the store. I was not planning on leaving Windward mall Ross, just yet. I had 2 more errands to run. They also said they will not hold the items either and I must load my keiki up in their car seats, drive to the curb and then load them. I asked if they could please help me to the car as I wasn't ready to load my keiki up in their car seats nor did I want to re-park. They had ZERO understanding, ZERO customer service and zero sympathy. Saddened that me, as a pregnant mom, wearing compression stockings and two small kids could not receive help from the workers and there were plenty on staff, 3 at the register and one security greeter. Even the person in charge declined helping me, telling me she didn't care how I loaded the bins but I would not receive help nor could I take the cart to the parking lot. In the end, another mama who walked into the store and heard what was happening is the one who helped me. She kindly juggled 4 bins to my car while it began to drizzle and I loaded the rest safely through the parking lot. Unreal and saddened. read more

I only stopped by this Ross Dress for Less (located in Windward Mall) because I had some idle time before going to visit my dentist in Kaneohe for my semi-annual check up. What can I say about this Ross, pretty big store, kinda messy inside da store, and I've never seen so many security guards inside this store! Is there a problem with da 5-fingah discount???? Geez! Makes you feel small kind unsafe here! Lol! Anyways, like any Ross Dress for Less..........it's basically a hit or miss kinda thing! I lucked out that day, as I was able to pick up a few more automotive supplies from this store! Yay! On the down side...........the checkout lines were super long & slow. As I was waiting in line to pay for my items, the line moved so slow I actually had to step out of the line & put my automotive items back of the store shelf, then come back later to buy my items because if I had waited all the way through to pay for my items, I would have been late for my dentist appointment! Aiyah! After I saw my dentist, I headed back to Ross & retrieved my automotive items.............luckily when I walked back into the store, the check out lines was a little shorter, and I was able to pay for my items without waiting too long the 2nd time around. A brand new Ross at Windward Mall! Ever since Sports Authority left this space, I wondered what store could take its place. Eventually, I saw the signs, "Opening Soon" for Ross!!! I would check out the lower level every time I was at Windward Mall. Yesterday, I got a text and an email from Windward Mall, inviting the public to the Grand Opening and Blessing today. The text read, "9am". The email read, "8am". So...here I am...at 8am...haha! In the parking lot of Windward Mall, in the bright, warm Hawaiian sunshine... There was a giant blue and white balloon Rainbow and peppy music to greet us! The crowd gathered and waited patiently and with anticipation! At last... The kahu arrived, greeted us, and gave a traditional Hawaiian blessing. The District Manager introduced us to the store manager. Hula dancers and live music added to the Celebration! Aloha! This Ross is located at Windward Mall and has its own entrance from outside. Specifically they're at the end on the left of Gyu-kaku. They open 1 hour prior to the mall at 9am daily. Security at the front greets you. It was fairly clean, organized and well stocked. The only items they were running low on were boys shorts and towels..Other than that, I strolled through and found a cute pink storage bench. Workers seemed busy but we eventually caught one and she brought it up to the front. They had more of a variety in home items like furniture and curtain rods. Too bad I already ordered them off Amazon since I went to 5 diff Ross locations with no luck. The layout is very similar if not the same as all the other locations I've been too. I honestly don't drive this far for Ross but since I was in the area killing time I figured why not. read more

This is a bigger Ross's compared to the one at Windward city. And it draws way more people maybe probably because it's located in the mall. Like all the Ross's I've been to in a Hawaii. One thing I noticed. If you do t go first thing when the store is open. There is always a line. Most times long line. And few cashiers at the register. I dont know why. They. Always. Work. Like. That. You need to know what days to shop or when new merchandise is received because that's the best days to go. When the shelves and racks are full and stocked. If not the store is empty. And looks like it's been trampled and run over. And this goes for most Ross's here in Hawaii. Rarely I find anything I like from this location though. I'll just keep hunting at the other locations. read more

Since the new Ross's opened up at windward mall, we decided to walk off out dinner here. The new store is neat and about as organized as a Ross's store can be (it is almost always the customers that make the mess) and the employees are very helpful as well. However I only gave them 3 stars because the management needs to be more sensitive to the customers and to the employees working the front line, as the poor salesperson who was helping me tonight was stuck working the register and jewelry counter all by herself. She was super awesome trying to do her very best and I even told her from my side to go help the gaggle of customers starting to line up to pay for their stuff. If customers see long lines and only one cashier, they may end up leaving their stuff on the nearest shelf and walk out. A customer waiting in line to pay is pretty much committed to the purchase, thus if they get frustrated and walk out, the business lost on a sure thing, plus they may never come back. Again my salesperson was awesome! read more

I'm glad that they put a Ross in Windward Mall. The mall seems more complete with a Ross there :) It's located where Sports Authority was. The space is huge and the employers designed it well. The lighting is bright and the aisles are organized. It's nice to see that this location was similar to the others - organization wise. Finding the section you needed was easily directed. Plenty of parking. During busy times, you may have to walk further, but fortunately the mall has A/C! It's a nice walk through the mall. I came here on a mission to find a yellow shirt for Halloween (I know... very late review). I was looking for a bright yellow shirt, but they had mustard yellow shirts - which is totally fine, or bright yellow shirts that wouldn't go well with the costume. Not finding my yellow shirt is not their fault but I had a specific one in mind. When I return, I'll update my review :) read more

Great location in the old Borders' location. This is probably the biggest appeal to me. The parking in the Windward City location is horrible and that location always has a crazy line. In contrast, this location has plenty of parking and plenty to check out. The staff was friendly and welcoming, and the selection was great. We ended up getting a few things from the homewares and the clothing sections, and spending a bit of time everywhere in between. Prices are also fair with something for everyone. Terrible customer service!!! I always did love shopping at this location and I never experienced a very rude cashier like (Trish) she already seemed like she was having a bad day.... I asked to purchase a bag but I forgot I already had shopping bags to put my stuff in. So I told her oh I'm so sorry, but I don't need the bag after all she just looked at me rolled her eyes and flew the bag on the floor. Ross is a nice store to have nearby and while I'm not sure why we need 2 in Kaneohe I am glad the new one opened in the mall to fill the empty spot left by Sports authority. Im.not a big shopper but it seems like each store is a little different and I seem to find nicer clothes and shoes at the Kahala Mall one but all have nice home decorations, kitchenware and journals. For basics, like a casual blouse, shorts, etc...it is nice to have a Ross nearby to get a replacement for my everyday wear. I wish they had sports clothes like for golf, hiking etc since there isnt a good store that specializes in golf, tennis, etc.so for those I shop online. read more

I live on the Leeward side and there's a Ross in Kapolei, but for some reason I bought so much more stuff at this Windward Mall location. I'm sure this store carries the same stuff as Kapolei, but maybe my West Side neighbors just buy it up all before me! From the Windward Mall store, I bought a memory foam rug, a set of kitchen knives, a big glass jar that I wanted to store my brown rice in (I love white rice but my doctor said to lay off of that), and this grooming kit for my husband. The store looked well organized. There was a lengthy wait in line, but it wasn't too bad. The only interaction I had with an employee was at the register. I guess the next time I go to Ross in Kapolei and find most of the good stuff is all gone, I'll make the trek to Windward Mall again. read more

This is nice since it is located inside the mall, on one end of the mall. There are plenty of parking space since it is shared with the mall. This store you can find stuff that the others in town don't have or are out of stock. Overall this is a convenient location if you are also walking around in the mall. read more

Nope nope nope! Waited for a LONG time for this location to open up and so far it has been a disappointment. The toy section is already a complete mess and crazy unorganized. The kids clothing section has very limited items, and there isn't much selection of ceramic planters. Normally I leave Ross with a bunch of awesome finds, but I haven't really found anything at this location. Maybe they are still adding onto their inventory, maybe they are still training employees, but even the staff was "meh". Hope it improves soon as this is such a great location... read more

If you buy fragrances from them, they will not open up the box that they keep them in due to Health and safety reasons. Those fragrances are also sold as is meaning that they will not take them back. Tuesdays are the best days to shop if you're 55 and over. The staff are friendly and i love that we finally have a store open till 11 pm for last minute items you need in Kaneohe. If you're lucky, you'll find a great buy. There's a huge difference in the caliber of clothes from the downtown Ross. I wish they would bring some of their higher end items to this store. So happy we have a new Ross at the Windward Mall. read more

Longest time spent at the cashier...manager was too busy to help our cashier find a price. Cashier was running around the store trying to find the same product to get a price and all of that product had no price. Lines were long for very long, stood at the cashier for over 10 min. While manager did other things. Wanted to try this Ross out but probably won't be back. As we were walking out something in the bag made the alarm go off so we had to go back and get that fixed cause it was on the receipt. I love this windward! Someone is always helping me! I absolutely adore this super fast and friendly Cashier, Cora! She always works the front and gives everyone notices if they struggle with the line. The other day, though, I had a troubling experience. A nasty man who seemed to be the manager named Keith, started harassing her right in front of us!! The customers!! It was unfounded as my cashier was fabulous but absolutely unprofessional of him! This Ross store has excellent customer service: I went in to do some retail therapy- this is the perfect place to find all kinds of treats at great prices. Everyone there was fantastic, but I was stressed out and left my credit card there...for an entire week...before noticing. It could have been anywhere so I called the store imagining the worst scenarios. Elizabeth answered and she was just wonderful. To my relief they had my card and had secured it in a safe the whole time! I was in such a panic as this could have been a been a disaster at a busy time, but she was so kind and reassuring. She said they would keep it protected until I could come in and get it. When I got there, still a mess, Elizabeth was right up front and helped me immediately. She said the nicest things so that I wouldn't feel embarrassed about the whole thing. I'm so lucky and will be shopping there many times again!!! My son had an accident and peed his pants at fun factory so I ran into Ross quickly to get him a pair of shorts and some underwear since we were parked all the way across the mall and rather then carry him 8 months pregnant I figured this would be easier boy was I wrong. They seemed to be out of toddler size two shorts and I was looking around desperately for anything because my son had just removed his soiled shorts when the security guard tells me I have to leave because my son didn't have shorts on in the shopping cart and there is absolutely NO NUDITY mind you he saw my son walk in soiled and watched me desperately searching for something for him to wear. If I was looking at lots and one with a naked child that would be another story. Rather then call someone to help me he chose to shame and make me and my child feel uncomfortable and unwanted. Sadly I visited the Windward city location yesterday and will be returning everything o bought and will take my business to TJ max. The managers response was she would talk to him but that was their policy in case he falls and gets hurt while naked?? I would give LESS than a star. I waited patiently in the return line behind another customer waiting on a return. This customer had been waiting for a few minutes. There were TWO cashiers at the returns/exchanges section and two cashiers at the "regular" stations, and yet we were continually ignored. They kept calling for "next purchase". Cashier 1 finally recognized the customer in front of me even though we are literally standing RIGHT NEXT to those registers. After she's done with the first return customer, she calls "NEXT PURCHASE" and then the new customer realizes that I'm waiting for a return. The cashier on 1 says, "Oh, you have a return? I'm sorry...I have to alternate between purchases and returns". Ummm, really? Your register CLEARLY says, "Exchanges and Returns". And, YOU JUST HELPED the return customer right in front of me!! Am I invisible? PAY ATTENTION to your customers, or are you that oblivious? I finally get called by the cashier on register 2...but not after she calls for a "NEXT PURCHASE" first. Meanwhile, the cashier on register 1 finished with her SALE customer and calls, "NEXT PURCHASE"...ummm, what happened to alternating? There was CLEARLY 1-2 customers waiting to RETURN!! Get it together...this Ross is CLEARLY going to be busy with traffic from the rest of the mall. read more

After waiting for 40 minutes because no one was available to complete the return she finally came, but instead if helping me took the next purchase instead.
