Next time I opened the door he was looking right in on us. Even men who aren't actively trying to take advantage of this policy, or maybe he was, are finding themselves right in prime opportunity to see near naked women and girls. She could have been trying on underwear. I called and was dismissed by the manager as "I'm sorry he did this to you". I said "no, this is a problem with YOUR system, if this happened to us in our first trip, how often do you think this happens?" This is not ok, they clearly have the means and space to separate the rooms. I don't care if trans women use the womens dressing room but I don't want men in the stall across the hall looking at my half naked 10 year old daughter.

I randomly find made in Portugal shoes that may run for $280 to $300 for $40. I think it's about approach. I will say that the Cap Hill location feels like the grow up sibling. I go here for Scotch and Soda blazers, Camper shoes, random Nike collabs, and a $20 dress shirt. I am happy that this crossroads exists. Service is hit or miss. Two employees were stocking shelves and having the most wholesome convo about the holidays and their family... once I was done shopping one of those employees, Taj, saw me headed towards the register and he greeted me and it just got better. We had a great chat about winter in Seattle (we are both transplants) and it was such a refreshing interaction. Taj is the epitome of what good customer is. You don't have to be fake or sickeningly sweet, you just have to be real. Taj was at once relatable and enviable. His great attitude will boost me for the rest of the day. Be like Taj.

She didn't say a single word, didn't make eye contact, and immediately waved the next customer forward--completely ignoring me. Her behavior was unnecessarily rude and unprofessional. I understand checkout can be busy, but basic courtesy should not be optional.

The tags were mismarked by the store, not altered by her. Despite calmly explaining the situation, she was dismissed condescendingly in front of other customers. The manager, who identified himself as "Phillip," refused to review video footage or acknowledge the error. After careful reflection, we believe this was a case of racial profiling. The accusation was made quickly, without evidence, and with a tone that suggested guilt before facts. Instead of taking accountability for their own mislabeling, they projected blame onto the customer--possibly to deflect or escalate. This is especially disappointing given our long history shopping at Marshalls and its sister company HomeGoods in Lynnwood. We've filed formal complaints with Marshalls corporate, the BBB, and the FTC. I've personally written to the Chief Compliance Officer. Since my wife was accused of a crime, we are drafting legal framework against TJX Companies, Inc., the manager, and the employee who made the accusation without evidence. We're not seeking money or punishment. We're asking for a formal apology, staff retraining, and a commitment to treating every customer with dignity. No one should be publicly accused of a crime they didn't commit. No one should be humiliated for simply trying to shop. We hope Marshalls takes this seriously and chooses accountability over apathy.

I like to look for bargains - especially on artificial flowers (for the cemetery), greeting cards, sunglasses and reading glasses, stationary, kitchen gadgets, etc. I got a Stitch notebook and some hangers for my niece's closet... plus some artificial autumn leaves for my dad and grandparents. It was a good experience, especially because of the kind, efficient cashier. She managed the long line of customers well and had time to give me the key to the restroom and explain the location. And the cashier shouting "welcome to DOLLAR tree!" every time the door opens, even if someone leaves, is irritating! It sounds like a cartoon bird, other stores don't do it, so stop. At least they no longer block entire aisles with boxes, but if the shelves are empty, it doesn't matter. This is has been the closest Dollar Tree to me for years, and it's the absolute worst I've ever seen.

Pricing is reasonable; the quality of items is higher than Icing or Claire's, but it is more affordable than Nordstrom's or Macy's jewelry. It's a fun store to browse, although it's kind of awkward because I'm usually the only one in there. I don't think Northgate is really the best place for this store, and I don't expect it to last very long.
