This is for their service department. I brought my bike there today to get serviced and just happened to be on the phone at the moment that I brought the bike up to the service department counter (a business call). And while I was on the phone, the tech noticed me, but then started mumbling to his coworker about me being on the phone in a way that was clearly meant for me to hear it and at the same time essentially talking crap about me being on the phone, almost as if he was feeling like I was somehow disrespecting him. It was a very strange vibe that I started to feel. It was clear to me from his attitude and what I could hear him saying was that somehow I was either annoying him or bothering him because I was on my phone. After about 30 seconds got off the phone and said excuse me to the service tech who turned around and looked at me in a very dismissive way, basically told me to wait and turned and walked away. The vibe and the tone was clear to me that he wanted to somehow show me now that he had either the power or authority in this weird exchange that should never have existed. I turned around and walked out of the store and I'm taking my bike to another service shop and I'll never go there again nor ever shop there. Good riddance to these guys a note to the owner of the business; I was just getting ready to drop anywhere between 3K to 5k on a new bike. Good to know that your service text are causing people to walk out of your business, losing both the service revenue and a future sale in a business where the profit margins are extremely tight read more

Went in here with an issue with my bike sizing and had a guy from the service department help me out and fit me with a smaller stem. Worked out perfectly. I even asked for a full tune up and he said there was no need at all as the bike was in perfect condition. I added fluid to the wheels and new handle bar tape since that was all he suggested. read more

I have been buying my bikes here for years. They have friendly and very knowledgeable staff. They are able to make very useful suggestions and stand behind their products. I have occasionally called for questions and they have provided great answers. Today I went in to buy a bike rack but unfortunately I was informed that the ideal bike rack for us (supporting 6 bikes instead of 4) wasn't in stock and would take more than a week for them to acquire. Instead of trying to upsell me on a product that wasn't ideal, they pointed out another competitor that stocked the product. I went there to purchase and they only had kind words about Roswell Bicycles as well. That experience is yet another indicator that they care first and foremost about the customer. Nothing says "customer service " like two bike shop sales guys telling you no one has sold a heart rate monitor unbundled for "10 years." So you call a store and on the first try the answer is "yes. We carry that heart rate monitor. So, instead of getting me to buy a whole bundle all they did was insure I will never be back. I was in Roswell, for a ride and Roswell Bikes was close by. I realized I forgot to get e new HR monitor before I left so thought I would stop there. Never again. Next day I picked one up from Freeflight. read more

Not sure what's going in service. But not what it use to be. I've bought a couple bikes here, one giant road, one Scott mtb, and a specialised hybrid. Brought the hybrid in for derailleur issue and flat tire. Asked how much for a tube, said 9 and 10 to put it on. I can put on a tube so I didn't agree to the service of that. My main concern was the derailleur. Got serviced and then proceeds to take the tire off, I figured he's checking the tube to match with the right one to sell to me. Proceeds to change tube then charge me , which I didn't say yes to. But since it's done I have no choice. He then takes off my Roswell bikes sticker. Which didn't make sense. Bikes on bikes on bikes on bikes on bikes! I came here to get my new bike due to seeing online how much inventory they had I knew it would be a good chance whatever bike I picked would be in stock. I forgot they young ladies name who helped me but she was very nice and knowledgeable about the bikes. She was also very patient in checking inventory and answering questions. I decided to purchase a Giant Hybrid bike completed the sale the set the bike to my size she even helped load it up and I was off. So after I got home I did some more research and realized I wanted to exchange my bike for another model Giant. I loaded it back up took it to Roswell bicycles explained the situation to the same young lady that helped the first time and she said sure not problem exchanged the bike for me like 123 and I'm still a happy customer! I would definitely would recommend this store to anyone looking for a bike the service is great and the have a very huge selection of bikes and gear. Searched inventory online from home in SW Florida and the only Revolt Adventure Pro 0 ML in the eastern US was at Roswell Bikes. Called up a guy named Andrew who took my credit card deposit and said he would have it ready... When I got to the shop about 10 days later I got a great, great set up and adjustment, the bike was gone over, fasteners torqued, my own pedals installed and the tires freshly set up with tubeless sealant. Then I got a great "quick fit" and outstanding customer care from David who helped me since it was Andrew's day off. Now THAT is how you deliver a bike!! Thanks guys. The one thing I would say, and very few shops do this next thing right... Bike Shops should always have a good selection of shop logo'd kit and t-shirts for sale. That is a revenue source guys but no one seems to take advantage of that market. Ask a Harley dealer how important that category is to his bottom line. Anyway, great bike shop. If you are considering using the Roswell Bikes Repair Shop, you might want to read this review, so you understand how they do business. Unfortunately in life, sometimes we hire people to work on our stuff and they mess it up and then try to argue or B.S. their way out of it. I had this experience with Roswell Bikes. Back in the days when Liam ran the shop I never had a problem, so it didn't make sense why a simple fork service turned into a nasty ordeal. I made numerous trips back and forth to the store, but I kept my cool and tried to give them a chance to fix their mistake. I'm guessing the problem with this shop is that the mechanics get paid by the repair, and not by the hour. If something goes wrong, or a repair takes longer than usual, the mechanic doesn't get paid extra. This seems to be the only explanation for why Tim McClain, a mechanic at the shop, completely went off the deep end on me. The stupid thing about the ordeal is that someone at Roswell Bikes could have called Specialized Tech Support, and they would have helped them figure out what they did wrong, AND told them how to fix their mistake. Mr. McClain made some comments recently on my Facebook review that I didn't care for. I am posting this updated review so that prospective customers, Mr. McClain, and the owners of Roswell Bikes can understand what really happened. I have an S-Works full suspension mountain bike with a brain fork. I took the fork to Roswell Bikes for the basic annual servicing. I always check the brain damper before I take the fork off my bike to make sure it's working properly. When I got the fork back from the shop, the brain wasn't working. Obviously the mechanic who worked on my fork did something wrong. Mr. McClain said that someone else worked on my fork, but I think he was the one who messed it up. He didn't know what he did wrong because he doesn't understand how a brain fork works. Evidently, no one in the shop was familiar with how a brain fork works, otherwise they could have corrected his mistake. I took the fork back to the shop, and right from the get go Mr. McClain insisted, "We didn't do anything to the brain." I told him numerous times that the brain worked before I took the fork off the bike, but now it wasn't working. He argued with me that they didn't do anything wrong, and that I needed to buy a new fork. What a nightmare! I found out later from another shop, that he messed up the clocking on the brain damper, and that's why it didn't work. I was told that the he should have checked the damper before and after he serviced the fork to make sure it was working right. Obviously he didn't do that! I called Specialized myself, and they agreed to send a new brain damper to the shop. Todd Kaib called me and said they would replace the part at no charge, but that he didn't want me coming to his store anymore because, "We can no longer afford your business." (Sounded like a coined phrase). When the new part arrived, I went back to the shop and had a nasty encounter with Mr. McClain (It just so happened the owner wasn't there). He was really agitated and complaining about having to buy a new socket to fix my fork. I offered to go buy the socket for him, but he lost his cool and said, "We need to step outside!" We went out in the parking lot and he started yelling at me that they didn't do anything wrong, and that I needed to buy a new fork. I thought for sure he was going to take a swing at me. Crazy! I ended up going to The Bicycle Doctor where they installed the new damper and adjusted the clocking on the brain so that the fork worked properly. End of nightmare! read more

Taylor helped us select two bikes that met our search criteria, explained the features of both as well as the pros and cons of certain features. Taylor also adjusted and prepared the two bikes for test rides, staying with us until the test riding began. He checked back in to see if he could assist inside but returned quickly to answer any questions we may have had. Roswell Bicycles is a great place to purchase a bicycle and all of your gear! The entire staff seemed genuinely happy that we were there shopping even though the store was bustling with customers. Was trying to decide between a trek and giant trance 2. Roswell Bike was the only giant shop within 50 miles that had any kind of giant inventory so that I can actually test the bike before buying. Huge selection on site and was helped by a very helpful young man who obviously was very knowledgeable with all things mountain biking. Test rode the size we both thought would fit but he also insisted I test the slightly larger bike, just to be sure. Salesman spent about 45 minutes with me, even though he knew upfront I wasn't buying that day (still had the trek to test ride). read more

Needed my bike fixed. Got it fixed by them. It Broke on me and i Went flying into Roswell road during rush hour. This guy at Roswell that i spoke to attempted to blame me after 3 weeks of their repair. Also said my bottom bracket and crank arm were shot and I'd have to pay. They said after a week of "looking into it" they'd repair it what needs to be repaired. They replaced my crank arm stating they were wrong that it needed anything else. 3 weeks later i crash head first into the pavement thanks to their disrepair. I goto another shop who immediately see the items Roswell was willfully charging me for but didn't want to replace due to their mistakes. So here i am. Bikeless. Waiting for repairs at another shop that is way more upfront. Also. I had called to speak to the manager. I was told he was out but I'd get a call back. I didn't. Roswell bike is the place to go if you are looking for a bike and live around metro Atlanta. It's literally a bike shop from a time before e-commerce and big box became standard practice and they still operate like wise. In the last 12 month my significant other and myself have both purchased specialized road bikes, accessories, and have also had a ton of bike service (free of charge) from Roswell bike. When we purchased her bike a few months ago the sales person performed a ton of free install service on MY crappy road bike, which was not even purchased from them. He also gave me discounts on what I was buying to have installed. So when I was ready to buy my new bike this week, those previous actions sealed the deal. The only place I would be buying was Roswell bike regardless if I could save a couple hundred online or through eBay/Craigslist. Companies like this (across many industries) are slowly disappearing and it's really important that we give support with our purchasing decisions. As long as I still ride, I will always buy from them and ALWAYS strongly recommend them to friends and family when a new bike of any kind is wanted. read more

We've spent several thousand dollars here and I still get the vibe that the folks "helping" us are doing us some huge favor and are too busy or too cool to really focus on customer interests. Our son worked at LBS's and is a serious collegiate and Cat 1 cyclist so we have been to a few LBSs. Wish they would pair regard for people with product knowledge and selling skill. read more

The shop had a sign on the door to wait for an associate due to social distancing. We waited. It was 5:03 before someone came to help us. They do close at 5 however we were there a few minutes prior. When an associate did open the door we were told that the shop is closed and we could not be let in the purchase a helmet. We won't be back. read more

Excellent service and variety of products. For years I have brought enthusiastic friends here by their own request- note some of those guys are serious about the sport, being regulars on Tour de France and the likes. Now they convinced my wife to hook me up on bikes again (its been 25 years...) and the staff helped me setting up without going over the board and not overspending ('this is the best helmet, but you dont need it for a park ride, get this one instead'). Awesome. Super nice people who are serious about bicycles will invest significant time and effort to educate you and ensure you find the bike that fits your needs and budget. I bought a road bike here 10 years ago. They said it would last. It's downstairs right now, ready to go and as awesome as it ever was. When we bought the road bike, they spent about an hour sizing it to my body, my riding style, etc. They watch you ride, tinker with all sorts of stuff that a non-bicyclist wouldn't even know could be tinkered, watch you ride again, tinker some more... We went back today to look at mountain bikes. We told the sales dude our price range, and he stuck to that - no upselling, no bullshit. How refreshing! Speaking of no bullshit, we have a car that does not obviously lend itself to bicycle racks. At the first two stores we visited, we asked about racks for our car. They confidently declared that they had racks that would fit any car, including ours. At Roswell Bikes, the sales dude went to the computer and looked up our vehicle. No racks. No shit. Then the sales dude came out and looked at our car. He explained why our car would not take a bicycle rack. So, he said, if we were to buy bikes at his store, he would drive them to our home in Buckhead for us. No shit! He patiently provided bike after bike for us to test, explaining each one and what it had going for it. We found a great model with a great reputation. Then we left without buying a bike. Consternation? No way! Roswell Bikes knows that not everyone makes an expensive purchase on impulse. Upon reflection, yeah, we know what bike we want. And we're comfortable with it, because we tried lots of bikes and know WHY we want these bikes. A review from another store mentioned that the sales people at other stores look like they don't ride much - overweight and flushed or something. Very funny comment. Anyway, that's not what you get at Roswell bikes. These guys race, ride all the time, and have made bicycles a lifestyle. They know their stuff and get very excited about sharing their enthusiasm with others. If you are in the market for a non-Wal-Mart bike, you should visit Roswell Bikes. The story of how exactly we ended up at Roswell Bicycles yesterday is an long one. About a month ago, we moved into a bicycle friendly community (Roswell) and then immediately after, took a trip (Chicago) where we rode bikes around the city most of the time and really enjoyed it. Neither of us have owned bikes in a very long time, but these two things lead to me asking my so to get me a bike this year for my birthday. Not knowing anything about bikes I went for looks and I picked out one online and my bf got one that matched. They were Huffy brand, and the two cost us $385. They came unassembled and after 3 hrs we still could not get the brakes lined up correctly. So we called around and Roswell Bicycles had the best cost on a standard tune up ($45) and up there we went. We met with Sebastian in the shop and he was amazing. He showed us how our rims were bent and explained that with the work entailed to get that and other issues straight, we were looking at about another $200. He also mentioned that when you buy a bike from their store, you get lifetime free tune ups including brake checks and fluids. He also talked about the quality and manufacturing standards that all their bike brands are required to have. After this talk I realized the importance of this and that any online brands just were not probably going to be made with even close to the same standards, thus I knew I'd stay disappointed with what we had purchased no matter even if I got everything working as it should. We made a decision to return our 2 crappy bikes (we bought online but able to return in the store) and came back to Roswell Bicycles. Our salesman (whose name I forgot and I feel terrible because he was awesome) spent about an hour with us picking out bikes. We were very honest that our use was going to be casual so we wanted to stick to a budget. For $645 (tax included) we got 2 beautiful hybrid Giant Brand bikes that we know will be taken care of for a lifetime. Sometimes online prices look great but then you realize that great price you thought you got was really just an illusion... We would have been $585 into the online Huffy deal, and thanks to the expertise at Roswell Bicycle we now have two great bikes for just a little more money.... Definitely a way better value. Plus, sometimes you have a really positive experience that reminds you of the value of supporting a local business and this was definitely one of those experiences. read more

I was in here for nearly 20 minutes and nobody even approached my wife and I to determine if we needed help. They didn't appear to be too busy. It was hard to tell who was a customer and a store employee. There were two people at the front near check out who may not have seen us but didn't bother to assist us in any way. This place is a destination for things bike related, whether you are a criterium racer, a recreational cyclist or just getting your bearings. It's big for a bike shop and divided into two sides: sales and service. On the sales side of the store there is tons of inventory on site, from entry level to advanced bikes. Bikes for road, mountain or just getting around. The staff is knowledgeable, approachable and patient, with an easy-going, down-to-earth vibe. No pressure, no condescending attitude; just available no matter how 'dumb' the question might be. Plenty of accessory inventory (helmets, pedals, clothing, etc) is abound as well. Heads up: They can be busy on weekends, so if you are the kind of person who walks in and expects to be acknowledged right away, you may have to work to get their attention. But once you have their attention, you will be treated very very well. The service side of the store takes care of you after you've bought your bike. They are excellent: we have found them honest and helpful (even when they didn't need to be). For us they have taken care of small adjustments to bigger repairs. In a day and age where retail has become more impersonal it is refreshing to have a shop where they seem to be invested in your experience, taking the time with you during your purchase, making sure it is right for you and then helping you maintain it during its lifetime. About us: my wife and I have bought three bikes from them, had them serviced there and will continue to be customers. We are fans. read more

I really liked the service I got at Roswell Bicycles. I bought my first road bike there this past summer and they were really helpful! Peter helped me with choosing a bicycle that would fit my needs and never once made me feel stupid amongst my many stupid novice questions. The only problem I had, which wasn't really a problem at all, was that I had a suspicion they were trying to fit me on a bike that wasn't the right size for me. I'm a short girl and it's a bit hard to find a bike to fit me and I felt that they found the bike I wanted that was a bit big for me, yet told me it would be okay and fit me to a bike that wasn't right for me. I really wouldn't know otherwise and I think they knew that. Overall, I really like Roswell Bicycles and I'll sometimes just stop by to marvel at the $3000 gorgeous road bikes that I'll never own, but that are just so pretty! read more

I am not sure if I can truthfully give a true review with myself not being an experienced rider, but I personally was annoyed here. I was greeted at the door, which was nice. I said I was simply looking and around and said thank you. That is ALL I was intending to do because I have not had my butt on a bike in the 12 years I'd been in Atlanta but since moving behind the Greenway Trail I'd become greatly interested in it. I was mainly there to learn about different types of bikes after I'd researched online and pricing. The guy who greeted me at the door was like a Used Car Salesman and was in my face asking if he could help, "what do ya need?" I told him again I was just simply looking. Three times inside the next 90 seconds, he was was following me telling me about the financial help and the bike rentals and the best brands and THE most awesome pedals and this and that and this and that. Over many years, we've bought 4 Specialized bikes, and countless other accessories and apparel from Roswell Bicycles with very few issues, and when an issue has come up, they seem to jump at the chance to "make things right". Clay runs a good shop, and RB is the only place that works on our bikes because the team knows their stuff, and they take the time to educate you about what's going on. Had the head of service dept. a Mr. Bosch get very personal and discriminatory with me. Add that to the fact that he really did not put any effort at all into solving my problem when all he had to do was call the bike part company's service rep to see if the part was available. He just told me most likely it was not..... Called several other stores to see if this was common behavior. (Outback Bikes, Atlanta Cycling, Peachtree Bikes and Freeflite and they all were great !!!) They just called it in and easily found the part. It is just kinda funny adding injury to insult. :) To follow-up and in hopes to see that it did not happen to other unfortunate customers, I called and ask for the store manager or owner. They obviously get allot of these type calls because they would not even return my calls. Read these other reviews how customers were treated and go at your own risk. The younger staff was helpful but the so-called manager Todd was extremely rude and combative. Terrible customer service skills and quite honestly seemed to have an issue with females. I will never purchase a bike here again. I have purchased multiple bikes for my family at this bike shop but never again . This is my favorite bike shop in the area so far. Has basically everything a cyclist needs, without charging through the wazoo. So far, I have only needed to pick up a few items from them...but...as with any shop...it is about the people...and the personnel are very helpful and friendly here.
