There are not enough words to describe how disappointing and frustrating it is for me and my elderly parent to deal with this company. IF you ever get a live person on the phone, the answers are never consistent among different employees. Delivery is limited each month but you have the option of coming to the office to pick up oxygen (which is a plus). I met a fellow customer that had driven further than I did to pick up oxygen. We were both frustrated by the time someone opened the loading dock door. Signage on the office is confusing, loading dock doorbells are broken. and when you knock (as the sign says) no one answers. Another sign says doorbell broken, please come to the front. Employees say they aren't closed for lunch even though the front door and voice mail says so. I waited in my car until after lunch to go into the office. Rotech Corporate- please do some customer service training, pay your employees more, or hire more employees. You might wish to consider upgrading your patient portal to allow online orders and pick up requests to eliminate the need to have a person answer the phone. When people depend on oxygen or other health related equipment and supplies, both the patient and their caregivers need confident accurate answers and stellar service. Their lives are already stressful enough. read more

IF I could give zero stars, I would. My ARC family doctor saw me on Monday, Mar 23 for shortness of breath and wheezing. She recommended I get an oxygen unit and sent the Rx out Tuesday. Late Tuesday I got a text letting me know the referral had been sent to Rotech and I should expect to hear from the company very soon. Wed & Thursday came/went with no contact, so I called thhe company Friday morning. Was told they would deliver the equipment that afternoon. Nothing arrived; nor anything on Sat. By Sunday my condition worsened so my wife took me to the Seton Central ER Monday morning. The ER got me in right away and began work. About two hours after arriving I was told I would need to spend the night. I wound up spending two nights, and before discharge yesterday (Wed) Seton's case manager arranged for a DME to provide oxygen gear, which was delivered to my room. Thankfully I'm much better now at home, and can use the oxygen machine as needed. And I can't positively say that had I started using oxygen on last Friday I would have avoided the hospital trip. BUT, I think it's inexcusable that any reputable medical equipment provider would a) be so incommunicative, and b) fail even to show or call for the delivery. And, I've still heard noting from this company, and from other ARC folks I've talked to my experience what they got, too. So move on from Rotech without waisting your time! read more

I agree with the reviews that label Rotech as scammers. They send the cheapest items, like unheated connectors for water. They charges me for a new CPAP machine but never sent it to me, leaving me unable to get a replacement covered for years. You have a choice of other vendors but I suggest you avoid Rotech. read more

Would not use this company again. First they sent the equipment to the hospital. Then they sent it to the wrong city. When we eventually turned in everything, they did not note it appropriately. I received notifications to call them to arrange pick up. I called and told them they picked up equipment MONTHS ago, they said they would take care of it. I received another notice, so I called again. They said they would take care of it. I STILL received another notice and this time I responded by text so that I would have PROOF that I have notified them. They have been nothing but a headache. read more

Horrible company. I have made numerous calls to have equipment picked up to no avail. I was told after several calls that my doctor needed to fax a discharge order for the O2 Machine and oxygen. I called several times after the doctor sent a fax to DC O2 and was told they didn't receive it. My Dr sent another DC order and they couldn't find the fax again. After several more calls I was told I had to sign some form before they would pick up equipment. I am just completely disillusioned with Rotech. I opened the hose today to make a change - and I do not find a hose that works on my machine. They know the machine I use and they sent the wrong one.correct? This is now the third issue that I have had. In three interactions with Rotech - the last three each of them has been problematic. In August I went to my sleep doctor - he sent them a prescription and he reported to me new supplies would be coming to me. Well, I learned by waiting that this is not the case. I finally called and they told me that I needed to call - I asked for expedited service since I was leaving the country for 5 and a half months. Rotech not only did not come through, they did nothing to assist. I came back and I ordered this new hose. I waited and waited, and they needed something from my doctor, despite a prescription from a different doctor, they tried to communicate with a wrong doctor, so my order waited and waited. I finally grew tired of waiting myself and called to learn that the order was messed up. Today, I open the order to find it messed up further. What is wrong there? This is incredibly poor service. I do not think theycould do worse if they actually tried. What happens now - another three to four week wait and a fight over not reporting within 72 hours? Oh and I opened the plastic to put the hose on - who knew you could actually mess up an order like this. Even though we called late in the day Rhema sent a technician to her home on the same day and he was incredible! Richard showed up ready and willing, eager to help! He replaced our oxygen tank with a new one and a 3 months supply of tubing and accessories. Although Richard came to service our oxygen tank he was willing to look at our nebulizer that was not functioning properly. He told us what we needed for the nebulizer we just bought and he was kind enough to leave us with a couple of nebulizer attachment kits to hold us over until we got something better. He was incredibly informative and extremely helpful and absolutely a delight to work with. Richard could not have been better or more helpful! Rhema is very lucky to have someone like Richard representing their company! read more

Not helpful -- customer support in a foreign country -- received new equipment and although labeled the same as previous equipment, was not the same -- much smaller -- sent photos to prove my point and they had no valid explanation for why the strap was three inches longer on the old model and the plastic tubing was almost two inches longer. Said it must have stretched -- the plastic tubing stretched!!! This isn't the first mask like this I have used. No problems before -- this one extended to the limit crushes my face and is unwearable. To follow their logic of how they are not responsible, my head must have gotten bigger. Pathetic and life threatening. read more

This is the most unprofessional and unorganized company I have ever had the misfortune of dealing with. Their customer support is difficult to communicate with and have been given no training on how the US healthcare system works. They will spam call, text, and email you so much that you will consider blocking their number. I sure did. They once randomly tried to show up and take my equipment because they made a clerical error which went unnoticed for over 6 months. I then had to spend almost $300 to get a quick doctor appointment to get reauthorization when I did not need one. I begged my PCP to never use this company to fulfill any medical device prescription ever again. Truly an awful experience. If you have any agency at all in the matter, do NOT use Rotech. I have been unable to log into the patient portal for days. Their website is slow and cumbersome and the few customer service people I've spoken to are pretty clueless. I'm stuck with this company since my healthcare provider chose them for my CPAP supplies but they are NOT customer oriented. Very bad experience. They send the bills, and when I ask them what supplies they're charging me for, they don't know. They transfer me by phone from one place to another, and I end up back where I started after 90 minutes on the phone with them. In the end, they didn't resolve anything. Horrible company - stay away! I needed a bedside commode in advance of hip replacement surgery. In spite of the unit being ordered weeks in advance they waited until the very last minute to deliver it. The unit delivered was outrageously expensive ($231.26 of which I had to pay about $100 after insurance) and way too small for me to use comfortably. Mind you, I am not a big guy (5'10" and 170 pounds). Essentially it was sized for a child. I ended up throwing the unit out and buying one on Amazon that was much better quality for roughly $60. read more

July 2024 our Afflow vest ceased working...notified RoTech asking for repair or replacement. Needed soon because we were going to be traveling. No action. Traveled. Within 2 weeks ended up in ER out of state with bronchiectasis flare. No vest. Had to rent one from pharmacy...over $400 per month. For 3 months we had no positive action from RoTech. After paying out over $1400.00 (rental, ER co-pay and postage to return rental), finally 3 months later, got our replacement. Now asking for some compensation for their poor and delayed service, and after a year of requesting action, they say compensation is not warranted. (Also, within this time, they have gone thru 3 dif managers, we've had at least 2 dif reps and one medical caregiver has advised not using their company for medical supplies. We totally understand this now.). We have had very unsatisfactory service from them and hopefully will not have to use them in the future. read more

My mother was with the rotech in tulsa for years with no issues. Just moved her here to Austin, and this one leaves us speechless with a lack of customer service, one seriously rude, uncaring staff member lacking professionalism you would expect in a medical environment. Even went as far as texting me messages he meant for someone else who was about us his clients in a seriously negative and questionable manner. No apologies were ever conveyed. Just horrible! My CPAP machine stopped working this past Monday night. I immediately called my doc for a new script on Tuesday to replace the machine. My docs office faxed the script on Tuesday to Rotech. I called Rotech on Tuesday afternoon and they said the script wasn't there yet but it takes a few hours due to the volume of faxes. I called Rotech today (Friday) to confirm they received the script. The girl on the phone said no that it wasn't there. SO, I called my docs office and they confirmed that the script was successfully faxed on Tuesday BUT they would send it again. I called Rotech yet again and said they were resending.the script. Now the girl on the phone shared that their fax wasn't working Tuesday or Wednesdsy so everything is backed up. REALLY??? It's 2023 and your process is poorly designed to receive pertinent information. Not sure if the folks answering the phone realize the urgency to replace a broken CPAP. No sense of care or concern. I have been using CPAP for ten years EVERY single night. Now I have to hope the fax went through and they can begin the process on Monday. How many more nights do I need to suffer with lack of oxygen due to your broken fax machine? Rotech is accountable for their medical neglect to address this situation expediently. I have been trying to get some equipment picked up that my surgeon said would be beneficial after my surgery in June. The Dr said I no longer needed oxygen on 11 June. Since then, I have called and left messages weekly, sometimes even daily and I have gotten no response. The only person I spoke with was when they called and said I had an outstanding bill. This is the worse company when it comes to customer service and communication. I'm not sure what it is going to take to get them to pick up their equipment. Put in an order along with a copy of letter the from Dr about no longer needing oxygen. First pick up was suppose to be July 2, then July 8. I'm done messing with this company. I am looking elsewhere through my drs office and will update when i find a better service. avoid these folks. They are terrible at customer service. We had a hospital stay, upon release we we signed up with Rotech. Being a hospitalyou would belueve you are getting a quality company to work with, not so with Rotech. We have been told now they do not contract with our secondary medicare ins. provider, but yet for 3 months they have been paid by our secondary thru their Salt Lake City office but yet nothing is posted go our account. When you call the office you get gold that is is not possible because we do not contract with your secondary. Yet I have the check numbers and dates they have been cashed. I am in the middle of canceling this totally dishonest company. Run if they tell you to use this company. read more

What amazing support Antonio service associate for Rotech brought oxygen equipment to my wife's hospital room. He taught us how to work it and gave me his card if I needed his help or advice. It turns out when my wife's first tank ran out and I needed another somehow I didn't set it up correctly. I called him on his personal cell phone. He asked me to send him photos so he could see if the regulator had issues. He said regulator looked fine. He stayed on the phone and walked me thru the process while I reconnected everything. I just ended my service with Rotech and THANK GOD !!! It's a terrible feeling to have your love one on "home oxygen" and NO ONE ANSWERS THE PHONE!! I've gone days without anyone returning called .. actually after 4-5 calls - no one has called me back .. Thank GOD for one gentleman, Reese, who was always there to help me.. I would not have known what to do without him and all the help he has given me. If you are considering home oxygen - do yourself a favor and select another company - you don't need the frustration they will cause you .. I will be working with my pulmonologist and insurance to meet my CPAP needs elsewhere. Last December I informed you that I had new coverage under a different insurance plan. Charges on 01/04/2023, 01/30/2023, and 02/04/2023 were sent to my prior insurance. My ex husband hadn't taken me off it yet so I was charged the patient portion as the deductible wasn't met. The issue is that I had surgery in January that met my deductible and out of pocket expenses. So, those charges, if charged to my correct insurance, would have been minimal, or even zero. I have verified the insurance information on file several times. I have been told several times that that three claims would be sent to the correct insurance, which is the one currently on file. That has not happened yet. I was told to not pay my outstanding balance until the three claims in question went through the correct insurance plan. Today I received a call advising he that the equipment I need to manage my health condition would not be sent to me until I paid the balance. I was then told that I have two options. The first is to continue to wait for Rotech to finally submit that claims so that the balance is adjusted and to them pay what I actually owe. That is not acceptable as this equipment is required for my health care. I can't continue to wait for an indefinite period of time as I've already been waiting months for this to be resolved. The second option is to pay the balance. This is also unacceptable as I don't have nearly $300 to pay you for services that you charged to the wrong insurance that, had you sent it to the correct insurance, would be a much smaller charge. I also have no faith that Rotech will ever submit the claims to the correct insurance and that I'll ever get my money back for the extra I would have to pay. Rotech has taken no accountability for submitting those claims to the wrong insurance. Your costumer service agents keep saying that those charges were charged because I hadn't met my deductible yet. This is correct. I wouldn't have met it on the old insurance plan that they were submitted to. I would have likely at least meet the deductible at that time on the new insurance plan since I had surgery in January. This leads me to believe that they don't understand what the problem is. I don't know how to be more clear about it. Rotech is literally withholding equipment I need for my health due to a balance owing that is only owing because of an error on their part. That's shameful and unacceptable. I am working on an alternative supplier with my physician. read more

I have been trying to work with this company for almost 4 weeks, and so far this has been my experience: They do not answer their phone no matter the time of day or day of the week. They do not return voice messages at all. The only time they return emails is when I have suggested that I should take my business elsewhere. This is totally unacceptable, but even more so because the equipment needed is a portable O2 Concentrator! Thus far, this has caused me to miss four appointments. If they can't provide this equipment, they should just admit it. Instead they assure me they will get right on it and call me back the next day. This has happened with two apparent managers. I had a major surgery in 2016. I could not leave the hospital all day until 5pm waiting for their equipment. I used it for ONE MONTH and called them to pick it up. I had to call repeatedly for them to pick up their equipment. A man finally came to pick it up in a van marked "Rotech". Then my bill kept going up, up, up. I called them and told them that I no longer had the breathing machine so why are they still charging me?? I believe that their employee must have sold it on ebay or something and not reported that he picked it up. TODAY, August 23rd, 2024, I got a bill in the mail from a collection agency for $2223.60!!!!! Do you think that I should pay that?? STAY AWAY. As others have pointed this company underdelivers in every possible way. I had been hospitalized for 11 days and the Rotech sales rep dropped off a portable oxygen concentrator within the first 48 hours per the doctor's orders. He didn't bother to review it nor did he ask how I would be using it. And despite my requests to change the unit for one that was compatible with my CPAP device, nothing was ever done. And why was it delivered 9 days before my discharge..? Well, that's when they started billing the insurance company. Insurance fraud..? I'll certainly let my insurance company know the specifics so that they can determine that. Upon my discharge, the nursing staff reached out o Rotech to request the correct in-home oxygen setup, a walker, and most importantly a new bi-Pap or Trilogy respirator. Nope, nothing. Then 4 days later a knock on the door and it is a Rotech delivery driver with my updated in-home oxygen, but nothing else. He had no knowledge of the walker, or the much-needed Bi-Pap or trilogy and suggested calling the office. Between the nursing staff at the hospital and the calls I made myself, there had to be more than a dozen calls into Rotech with the same answer, "I'll look into that and get back to you" and they NEVER do. This company should be investigated, and any hospital doing business with them should be as well. Someone mentioned a scam, it sure seems like they have an interesting relationship with the doctors. And then to not follow through on needed medical equipment, they shouldn't be a preferred DME source until they're under new management and have been cleared by the State. read more

In January of 2021 I was sent home from the hospital with a rotech oxygen tank. When I called to schedule a pickup to return the equipment, (the regular protocol) due to understaffing and increased demand, they would not be able to come get the piece of equipment for over a month. I didn't want to pay for something I wasn't using for that much longer so I opted to return it myself. My (now ex) husband returned for me (I was still recovering from surgery, pneumonia and a broken driving ankle). He was told that he was good to go. They provided no receipt. Over the course of months immediately following, I continued to receive bills at irregular intervals, with irregular bill dates, each time calling to resolve the problem. I even paid some bills for the equipment I didn't have anymore, to avoid anything being sent to collections. The final time was in July of 2022, at which time I called, they were able to look up the equipment in their possession (or so they said) and that I didn't need to worry about any further billing. Today, May 5, 2024, TWO YEARS LATER received notice that they JUST NOW sent it to collections. Rotech is committed to being over booked, understaffed, absolutely sloppy with their handling of equipment, billing, and customer service. They refuse to deal with anything over email, making sure there's no paper trail for their ineptitude. read more

They can never get an order straight and ask me the name of the hose when they have been supplying it; there is no name on my CPAP hose. I had a person on the phone to order supplies and a billing question, too, since my billing is always a different amount and double the last time. She told me to go to the billing department, "WHAT? You cannot see my account? Following an investigation on the Better Business Bureau (BBB) website, it has come to my attention that this company has a history of dubious practices and unethical. Consequently, I have made the decision to terminate my association with them, opting to transition to an alternative provider without delay. read more
