I have been going to Nino's of Delray Beach since l used to live in New Jersey and visit my dad who lived in Delray Beach years ago. I remember it from back then as a cozy, family friendly neighborhood restaurant with good food and big portions. I now live in Delray Beach and Nino's is a go to place often for myself and my husband. I often take out their delicious fresh, hot pizzas often taken care of by the friendly staff especially Jose and Ashley who are friendly and remember you as a "regular"! We also enjoy meeting friends there for dinner as the food is delicious, the service is great and the location is convenient in a strip mall at the corner of Jog Road and Lake Ida Road. During the winter months with many snowbirds in the area, there may be a short wait, but the take out service is fast and there is a usually a fairly fast turnaround with tables by the efficient staff. I've been here a bunch of times and NEVER had had one item I didn't thoroughly enjoy. The service is attentive, knowledgeable, and friendly. The dishes are superb! You can ask the server about anything in them, they're very knowledgeable about ingredients and how they're prepared. My favorite... The chicken Parmesan. But the eggplant Parmesan is also amazing and the pasta fagioli soup is to die for. It's busy most nights especially in season. It can get a little crowded and they do pack you in! They have a really great sunset menu sometimes if you like to eat early like I do! You will not be disappointed here! read more

After two years, we made our way back to Ninos for a classic Italian dinner. Actually we had a reservation somewhere else new in town and as we were walking up to the restaurant one of the patrons came out and said don't waste your money. She was very unhappy with what she ate and the owner wasn't kind. So she said why don't you eat at Nino's which is one of her most favorite places. So we hopped back in the car and ran over to Nino's for a 730 dinner reservation which I made on the way. It's been two years since I last ate there. I had chicken cacciatore on the bone with vegetables and one of their house wines for $8.50. Paul had a glass of beer and chicken francaise. All entrées come with soup or salad and vegetables or pasta. They do not have other alcohol aside from wine and beer. The prices are still very fair and the portions are very generous. Dave was our waiter and he was terrific. He was personable and adept at his job. We indulged with a spumoni with pistachio strawberry and chocolate ice cream. It was very yummy. The venue itself is old and really needs a revamping. But it's clean and comfortable and a favorite to so many people. I'm happy we finally made our way back. Living in Palm Beach County, there are so many restaurants to choose from. But now that the snowbirds have left, it is much more comfortable eating out and not having to face all the crowds. read more

Visiting family and this was where they wanted pizza. I went to pick up order and it's a busy nice cozy place with warm decor. The plain pizza was okay , but I thought the gargonzola salad was rather small for the $22. A bit too heavy on the gargonzola where it overpowered the entire salad. Went to Publix next door and picked up tomato and cucumber to build the salad up more to feed 3 people. read more

Nino's is a very nice old fashioned Italian restaurant that sells pizza as well as a variation of delicious Italian dishes. Each meal comes with soup or salad and a pasta. Our dishes were all had very nice portions and were very tasty. The shrimp fra Diavlo was delicious. Each table has the option of plain dinner rolls or rolls smothered in delicious garlic. Pizza Rating: 7.4 Tried Both the Margherita Round Pie & the Upside-down Square Pie. Overall, Good, but Sauce is a bit too Sweet, needs less Sugar, and be more Meaty (too pureed). Needs that to "Kick This Up to the Next Level". Dough/Crust needs a lil more Hydration. Sure, this may be My Preference after 60 Years, and for "Some", it's just Fine, I'm sure...and based on the amount of business witnessed, they're doing just fine with or without Me. Nino's was kind of a staple for us when visiting my mother-in-law in Florida, but for some reason, we hadn't been in a while. It was her birthday weekend, and her friends wanted a fun night out, so they picked Nino's. The décor is all Italy-themed, which is pretty classic. They were nice enough to give us the early dining menu since our reservation was at 5:15. We had about 10 women, and by 5:30, it was getting a bit busy, but they were patient with us -- even though I could tell the waiter was a little frustrated at times. The food was okay -- I probably should've gone with a recommendation. I ordered the chicken parm, but honestly, it was pretty standard, not much flavor. read more

It's been a year since I last did takeout from Nino's and I was disappointed. I ordered a Chicken Scarpiello. I asked that they do not include olives and no extra salt. When I went to pick up my food the friendly counter man went to the kitchen to see if it was ready. I again said please no olives and no added salt. He came back with my order packed up and I took it home. When I opened it I saw a few olives and the taste was very salty. My wife and I took a few bites and then threw the rest in the garbage. Afterward, we catch a movie at the theater in Delray Beach on Hagen Ranch Road. We prefer arriving early to take advantage of the fantastic food and the early bird special. It's bustling with people enjoying themselves, and the food is abundant--enough to share with your family or save for later in a doggy bag. The decor perfectly captures the essence of a local Italian restaurant, set in a spacious shopping area with ample free parking. As someone who uses a wheelchair, I find accessibility is not an issue, especially if you go early. Just avoid the rush that comes close to earlybbird special time, particularly with the winter snowbirds filling up the place. read more

Wow! We arrived about 6 and had to wait about 25 minutes. We were able to purchase a glass of wine to bring outside to wait for our table. Obviously, no reservations, the hostess, wonderful, the service which was there for take out, etc. , was awesome serving us our Chianti. Very reasonable and a nice glass of wine. Seated , service good, but food outstanding and very reasonably priced. My veal parmigiana was so tender you could cut it with a fork. My friend's clams in garlic sauce she said was as outstanding as my veal. Definitely a place to go read more

Very average chicken cacciatore and lasagna carry out last week. The food tasted like it was made the day before - not old or bad at all, just not cooked the same day - was looking forward to big juicy pieces of freshly cooked chicken pieces with a lot of good saucy gravy - in fact, there none on the lasagna- just dry. Also, the chicken had chopped drumstick ends with just rubbery chicken skin on them - like little nuckles. And the skin on the chicken pieces was rubbery too. Maybe not cooked in the sauce until heated up at the end? The restaurant was full of diners, so maybe we just chose the wrong entrees. read more

This place usually fires on all cylinders. But the last couple times have been pretty bad. Waited almost 15 minutes for my server to greet the table. Pasta fagioli was flavorless broth, all pasta with almost no beans. Chicken francese was just as bad, pretty much chicken cutlets wrapped in fried egg, in a butter sauce that had zero lemon to it. This place is now officially dead to us. I ordered an Eggplant parmigiana dinner, pieces of eggplant were hard and tasteless, the salad consisted of 6 pieces of lettuce. When I picked it up and drove all the way home, I realized they gave me no garlic knots, I live 20 minutes away. I called them and told them about the order, some nasty bastard on the phone said " you can come back and get the garlic knots", there was no sorry or gentle tone to his voice. We were really sad when Nino's in Boca closed. We read where the Delray restaurant was started by Nino's son 20 years ago. So we drove a little farther and were so glad we did. The restaurant was similar - a pizza side and a larger dining room. The service and ambiance were the same. The menu and recipes were just as good. So we now know where to go for veal parm and the veal/eggplant combo. The unexpected bonus was the early dining menu. read more

Our server was exceptional. Leon is such a great guy. He really hustled getting everyone their food. This was our first visit and we are already looking forward to coming back and also seeing Leon. The veal parm was delicious as was the chicken parm. Both dishes were super tender, the sauce delicious and served quite hot and quickly.
