Not a fan of Roti's chain in general. Food is okay but portions are really small with acceptable nutritional value (chipotle has better portions and nutritional value of food if you are pooking for health eating) Otherwise branch is pretty good and I have no problems about the service, staff or cleanliness. read more

Last night I ordered 3 chicken rice plates with the accompaniments and sauces. I paid with my debit card from home and a neighbor picked up the food. He arrived with only 1 plate of food. I called the restaurant and spoke with a young lady who assured me that I would get my money back before hanging up on me. I called back and spoke with a "manager" who has given me the number to the corporate office. We'll see how they handle this. I like the food and I'm sad that the Hyde Park location has such poor customer service. I'll post their response. I spoke with Melinda in the corporate office who fully refunded my money and has promised to make sure the appropriate people at corporate is aware of the situation. Wish I could give NO stars. Staff multitasking and messed up my order. WHO waits on four unrelated customers at one time when preparing food? This place. Chick tells me they "always" serve people that way. When I know that I've been in this location more times than she has days on the job! The food here is mediocre at best. I order some food to be delivered tonight, pretty disappointing. The broccoli at this place is burned and makes the rest of the meal taste pretty bad pretty much every time I've eaten here. The last time I was there, the service was also terrible, literally felt ignored, over looked and definitely not appreciated. A young man started helping me when I walked in, a young girl came up and interrupted us telling him, "what do you think you're doing?" He says, "I'm helping the customer, he just walked in." I've ordered online on a few occasions now and have been satisfied each time. You get a nice amount of food, tastes good, feels pretty healthy, and so far my order has been correct every time. I hate to give this establishment three stars considering that my experience up until TODAY has been great.... Mind you the food is amazing, the employees are TYPICALLY very friendly and warm but this particular day I experienced something very horrible with one of the employees. His name is Timothy D and he had the nastiest attitude and aggression I have experienced. My friend and I walked into roti, as I was trying to introduce her to this place and for some reason he decided to showcase to us that he was having a bad day. As the employees around him were asking us the typical questions of what we wanted in our food, he rolled his eyes at his employees as if they had a previous altercation and he wanted to show that to everyone that was in line. Also, when I went down to him and I asked for the hummus on the side, he put it on my plate and I said "oh I meant can I have it in a little tiny cups". He then stands there and looks at me for three seconds then gets a cup (as if that was not his job and he was being bothered).. he then aggressively puts the hummus in the cup and slides my food to the register. As my friend tried to lighten the mood and say "oh she just meant she wanted it to be side, no worries" he had the nerve to look up at her and say " oh well she should've said that then". He is very rude and disgusting and should not be working with customers at all. Again this location is very great, the food is great and the employees are typically very nice but this particular employee Timothy D should NOT be working around the customers. I spoke with the manager Victoria a few minutes ago, and she did show that she was very concerned and that she cared about the representation of the company. Please reconsider having Timothy right in the front where customers have to see him showcase his dislike for his job and his attitude. read more

I hesitated to say anything because they did just open but truth be told it's been two weeks and my experience shouldn't have happened. My wife and I went there on Saturday, Jan 28th and ordered the chicken, and it was RAW. Our orders came from a nearly empty bin so I'm fairly certain that there were numerous orders that received raw chicken in them and I'm not sure how many people were aware of it. After thinking further on this experience I feel i have to say something because I wouldn't be surprised if there was some food poisoning from this place and I'm especially concerned because it's very clear that the employees here have not been properly trained in the handling or cooking of food. For example- this chicken was not just undercooked, there were many pieces that were practically not cooked at all yet not a single employee, (at least 4) handling this meat noticed and kept serving it. At the very least they should have checked the temperature of the meat while cooking and that clearly didn't happen. Another thing I noticed was the hummus and one of the vegetable serving bins had the spoons buried in the product which is another source of contaminant. I really wanted to like this place but I don't know that I can ever return. Too bad! read more

Nice little lunch place. I got the chicken kabob with the pita and pretty much all the toppings with cucumber and dill sauce. The portions are huge and the sandwich was pretty good. The hummus is yummy too. But I did to like the pita chips that cane with the hummus I thought its going to be literally pita chips but it was just plain pita. read more

Delicious food! This was my first visit here and am very happy to have more food options in Hyde park. I ordered the falafel salad and it was really good. I loved the selection for the salad greens and a wonderful array of toppings. I would give 5 stars for the food alone. Two small suggestions for improvement: (1) have a paper menu available for those standing in line who can't see board when the line is out the door; (2) consider repricing the sides as add ons to the main dish, e.g., for another $2 add a side of couscous. It was a little steep to spend almost the same price as an entree to get two sides added to my order. read more

One of the most ignorant managers I've ever met in life. I was called a bitch because of his error. I walked in this establishment at around 9 pm. There was about 5 employees. One being the manager who was wearing glasses. No one greeted me or said anything when I approached the counter. Two young ladies walked back and forth looking me in my face and saying nothing. After nearly 5 mins of me standing there a guy walks from near the grill and says oh they didn't tell you we were closed. I said no. He says oh yeah those doors should have been locked. I said well are you going to take my order. He says we are closed. I asked, where's your manager because I've been standing here and no one said anything to me when I walked in the door? He points to the guy wearing glasses and said over there. The guy in glasses does not immediately walk over to me. Instead, he says check those doors they should be locked. I locked them myself. Pull them shut." The entire time I'm standing inside at the counter. After checking the doors he walks over to me and says what do you need. I said I would like to order. He says, we' re closed. I said well no one said that when I walked in the door. I've been standing here for up to 10 minutes now. It took the guy from the grill with the apron on to come around to the counter and say " oh no one told you we were closed"?? The manager then proceeds to tell me I'm lying, I haven't been standing here that long, he saw when I walked in, and he saw when the guy told me they were closed. He then tells the guys in the kitchen "keep closing". I then told him he was lying. I was standing here for 5 minutes before the guy came and said anything. When I walked in there were two females walking back and forth, looked me dead in the eye and said nothing. We then got into a very heated argument and on my way out the door I was called a "bitch" by the "manager". Which only intensified a bad situation. An argument pursued. He continued calling me bitches and yelling "bye felicia" several times & "You'll still be hungry bitch" until I walked out of the door. read more
