It's located near a hotel that had very intimidating parking signs everywhere. I'll probably only visit again during daytime.

From the moment we arrived, the visit felt very different from what I would expect at a welcoming restaurant. We were greeted politely at first, but shortly after, two non-Indian customers walked in, and the waitress immediately went over to welcome them and bring them water. We had not been offered water at that point. When she eventually came to our table, she asked if we were ready to order but did not seem fully present or attentive while we were speaking. We then had to ask if we could also get water. When it was brought out, one of the glasses was broken. Later, when we pointed it out and asked for another glass of water, there was no apology or real acknowledgment, which was very disappointing. We had to keep asking for water unlike other non Indian tables. The food itself was mediocre, but the service was what made the experience unacceptable. It felt like we were treated differently compared to other guests, and that is not something I expected or appreciated. Unfortunately, I will not be visiting again.

Usually I can find a way to ruin even the easiest of dishes with my lack of cooking skills, but these ended up tasting incredible even when cooked by my novice self. Just make sure you keep them very cold because otherwise the texture will change.

The food itself was still good, which is why I'm giving it three stars, but between the uncomfortable seating, tiny table, and lack of attentive service, it wasn't a very pleasant dining experience overall.

The Roti Grill is a big disappointment. After several occasions of ordering food here, I can say 4 things about this place. 1) I will not be eating here any more. 2) The food is decent, to be fair. 2) However, the food is WELL overpriced, especially given the fact the experience is akin to ordering at a McDonalds counter and eating at a mall food court (eg. $32.00 takeout for 2 with no drinks). 3) The service is terribly slow, and you get the feeling you are being intentionally ignored as you ENDLESSLY watch the expressionless employees. I have twice waited over 15 minutes at the counter after ordering food from home 30-40 minutes prior to pick up. The snail's pace might be tolerable if there was some attempt to acknowledge the throng of frustrated waiting customers. Despite the fact that I do like the food, it always seems I leave a lot of money on the counter and walk out with a big bag of frustration. read more

On the last visit I ordered the special, Spicy Chicken and rice - very well done on the spice but that was it. I am not exaggerating there was the meat of 1/2 a chicken breast and the only vegetables in the dish were onions. Onions are cheap filler vegetables that are a waste. The other meal was the Chicken Platter, sounded like a really good assortment of items to try, wrong. I wish I had taken a picture of this poor example of "chicken" on the chicken platter. This should be on the appetizer menu for $6 instead of entrée for $15. The chicken was a single cube in some sauce, one little fried Rangoon, 1 donut hole with honey, rice & vegetables. This was my first time ordering Indian food in a minute, and this was quite acceptable. The samosas were slightly cold, but then again it's 27 degrees out, so not fussed over that, because they were *delicious*. The chicken in the chicken biryani was a little dry, but still tasty overall, and the palak paneer was also quite good, a bit spicier than I'm used to, but still worth eating. For my money the portion sizes were good--especially the chicken biryani--but I used to live in Houston and I admit to being spoiled in that realm. This is a good, but not great, first impression and I'm willing to give these guys another chance some time to see what happens, for sure. read more

Great food...now prices, hmmm, it is a little pricey for what you get so for that it only gets 3 stars, but the food is 4 stars plus. Not overly pricey, but still a little pricey, they need to drop it down a couple of dollars for the main dishes if its not a full service restaurant. The spicy levels for the most part are spot on. If they changed the atmosphere of the restaurant a little and made it more cozy and less cafeteria, I prob would not notice the price. read more

Not the best Indian food I've had, but it was passable. I didn't expect "super authentic" from an uptown fast-food style Indian eatery, but the food wasn't nearly as flavorful as I'd like. I ordered the lamb korma dish, and while korma sauce had a great texture, it was lacking in flavor and spice. this is the reason i dont like yelp sometimes, keeps me from coming to places like this because of an ok rating. I'm glad I was starving and in desperate need for indian because im in love with this place. After moving here from NYC, I had been spoiled. I lived a block away from little India and had the best Indian food in the US. Roti Grill hasn't topped any of those places but it has definitely filled the void. Try the vindaloo, saag or lentils. The Mango Lassi was bursting with mango flavor and almost as thick as a milkshake, super refreshing. Samosas were fist-sized and very flavorful, served with catsup, a combo that was surprisingly delicious. The Chicken 65 appetizer was the right level of spicy for a comfortable burn and the chicken was perfectly cooked. My friend's healthy portion of Butter Chicken was extremely tasty with an equally large side of white rice, again perfectly cooked. The chicken biryani can be served bone-in or boneless (my choice) and was everything a diner would want from a biryani. The rice was perfectly cooked, the seasonings ratios were balanced, and the chicken was succulent. The portion was so large I was able to make 3 additional meals from the leftovers. The garlic naan is epic - it's the size of a 12" pizza and served on a pizza pan. Thin and crispy on the edges, more doughy in the center with a load of garlic and cheese on top. Do not skip the garlic naan. Really. We visited with owner Fatima during our meal and it is obvious her food is prepared with much love. The only issue with visiting the spot is that there are only 4 parking spaces which could be a challenge during peak dining hours. Loved that our meal was served in to-go containers with paper plates and plastic cutlery so all we had to do was retrieve lids and a bag to take home our leftovers. Highly recommend trying their food, perhaps ordering through DoorDash would be best due to the parking issue.

When we entered, there was no one at the front, and we had to ring a bell to be attended to, which was totally fine. After ordering, the food came out at a decent time. Ambiance: Casual, cozy. Parking: Limited parking--there are only a handful of adjacent spaces on either side of the establishment.
