I've been here a couple times now, and the food has been great each time. I love the flavors and the meat is really good. I'm not a huge fan of build your own, so it's nice that they have a couple pre-determined items. There are lots of options for toppings and sauces if you do want to go crazy. Today when we visited I was a little disappointed with the service. The entire staff seemed very distracted/ preoccupied with each other. The cashier didn't even acknowledge us while ringing us up. My boyfriend had to ask if the transaction was finished. He didn't get a reply so we just grabbed what we hoped were the water glasses and slowly walked away awkwardly. Great place for a quick lunch. You can easily build yourself a delicious bowl of food from their freshly made ingredients. I tend to be picky when it comes to Mediterranean food so being able to pick items out visually is helpful. I'm disappointed that they got rid of their couscous. Updated review: I went back last night and was disappointed. The meat was really dry and over cooked. I asked for double protein and was given what seemed to be a single serving size. Everything just appeared and tasted like it had been sitting for way too long. It was 6:00 or so too so a normal time to be out ordering dinner. The broccoli in the veggies had a horrid taste to it. Roti is everything I've wanted in a fast casual spot. They have so many protein options for all diets (2 types of chicken, steak, salmon, lamb, falafel), and I'm impressed by their salad bases too (if you're not feeling rice). They have so many add ons too...more than I expected. About 4-5 salad and veggies and even couscous and hummus are options at no additional charge. Their sauce selection is also impressive...I had 3 added to mine. On top of it all, they gave you a pita too. One bowl was easily shared between my sister and me for dinner and we even had more to save for lunch the next day (granted we didn't eat THAT much of it for dinner but we did put a dent in it). Roti's website made ordering a quick lunch on the go a seamless process. The website is leaps and bounds ahead of others, with photos that "look so good the food could jump out of your computer," & the ordering system was very intuitive. I got my order to-go and it was ready on time / waiting when I got there to the St. Louis Park location. It was clear to see which order belonged to who, so you didn't have to worry about touching anyone else's order bag. The easy-to-read labels were really nice to see as we all navigate getting take-out during the pandemic. But, pandemic or not, I'll remember how easy this process was & will be using it again. I'll stop gushing about the ordering process & talk about what we're really here for... For food I ordered the signature rice plate that had Chicken Kabob as the protein. Although the flavor of the meat was great, it was pretty dried out & possibly over-cooked. So I would skip the chicken kabob if I were you. I gave this place 3 stars because the food wasn't what I expected. I spent 3 weeks in the Mediterranean and the food I had was different then this place. It looked similar but the taste was more bland here. The menu was easy to comprehend but when it came to the sauces. I tried asking what they were and the guy making my food talked quite and so fast I needed him to repeat it a few times. Between the music being loud and the guy behind the counter I just ended up picking a sauce. I'm not sure if I will ever come back here. Omg shug heaven!! I needed a salad in the worst way today and coming back from being out of town I had zero in the fridge. This place is a great go to for a healthy salad that won't break the bank. I did use Postmates and entered an online order and went to pick it up. It was ready and waiting for me when I showed up 15 minutes later (noon). Amazing. They took the time to explain (and let me sample!) the protein options and went through the sauces multiple times for my feeble brain to process. I had a delicious rice bowl with two kinds of protein (Roti Chicken and Falafel). I thought the seasonings were just perfect and I got an ample meal for the price. It doesn't have anything to do with the food, but I also appreciated that they didn't auto-bag my food. I was able to decide for myself whether I wanted a bag (I didn't) or napkins (only one). Didn't know what to expect for the restaurant that replaced the Dairy Queen.. but I have to say this place is awesome. The atmosphere is cozy and warm and the inside is brand new with more of a modern and clean lines vibe. I tried the rice bowl and my boyfriend got the pita. I loved everything about my entree! The nice lady behind the counter let me try all the meat and ask as many question so I could make an informed decision-ended up with the steak and the Mediterranean chicken (soooo good)! Added some veggies, couscous, humus, and shug red sauce. The pickles are to die for and I'm sad I didn't get more! If your are looking for something new that you won't feel guilty for eating after.. this is the place. She hungrily opened the plate to see a long disgusting HAIR in the food!!! Shocked and disgusted she called Roti and what response did she get??? Apologies? A vow to send a CLEAN dish immediately??? A pledge to make it right?? NO..NO and NO. She got a manager who could not possibly have cared less..SHAMEFUL!!! My new favorite fast casual restaurant in St. Louis park. Like others have said it's like a Mediterranean chipotle. You choose a rice plate, salad or sandwich first. Then you choose a meat and then any or all of the toppings! I chose the salad. I liked how they have 4 different types of lettuce to choose from. I went with chicken for the meat but they also had chicken kabob, steak kabob and salmon. You then could add any sauces and any toppings you chose. Lastly they gave you a warm peace of naan bread! It was delicious and so filling! The flavors were big and bold! Can't wait to go back! Also under $10! read more

Roti has delicious food, and is my go-to for a quick lunch! Just don't attempt to order for pickup or curbside at this location... My family of four and I have enjoyed takeout from Roti St. Louis Park for the past couple years, but we've never (yes, never) had a takeout order come exactly the way we ordered online. There are ingredients / sides added, or ingredients / sides missing. We've always had to check the takeout bag for what's different (pita bread or sauces for each person, any customizations for dietary needs) and head back inside to correct the situation. Recently we had one instead of four pita breads included, all the same sauce, no substitution for meat. All of us ordered hummus, but only one got it. In the future, we will take our chances with a different Roti location that is hopefully more precise with its to-go orders. read more

I had no idea what to expect coming here. I came inside and the staff was friendly and made me laugh. As I was pondering the menu, a worker approached me and asked if I had any questions and how hungry I was. I told him I like spicy and vegetables. He took me up to the counter and created a bowl for me. Spicy meatballs with couscous, grilled and pickled veggies. The plate was bright and beautiful, full of colors. Every bite was full of flavor! YAY for a new place in town! That old Dairy Queen was nasty, so this is a welcome change. Location - great, right in the West End. Parking - this area can get busy, sometimes people park in the drive lanes, but its free parking. Space - soooo cute, I love love love the tile floors in the ordering lane. Service - super nice and informative employees, very helpful to the first time visitor. The lines can be long, but they go very quickly (and are getting better now that the newness has worn off). Don't want to wait in line? Order ahead and pick up and the shelf near the beverages. Food - yyyuuummmmmmmm. I am such a fan. I don't even necessarily have a favorite combination of anything, becuase its all equally as delicious. If you are unsure of the combination or of what sauce to use, just ask, they will give you a great suggestion to go with your protein. Load up on all the freebie toppings and make your meal into two, or pig out on one big salad/rice bowl. Pro tip #1: think of it as a Chipotle for Mediterranean food. For those of you who aren't familiar with the concept, think of it as Chipotle, but for mediterranean food. There are a healthy mix of vegetarian/vegan and meat-loving options. I've been to Roti three times since it opened a few weeks ago, and have been very pleased with the experience each time. The salads, bowls, and pita sandwiches are all awesome, and I love being able to add a ton of toppings to each (I may have gotten a bit overzealous on the toppings... and it still tasted great). The falafel, chicken kebab, and beef are all delicious choices for protein. We gave Roti a try on its opening day and we both loved it! Not really knowing what to expect or how the menu worked, the staff was great about explaining it and making recommendations (they also give samples). The layout and how ordering works is very similar to Chipotle, except with more options. I had a rice bowl with salmon and a little bit of every topping (cous cous, cabbage slaw, olives, tomato cucumber salad, pickled onions, hummus, kale chick pea salad, roasted vegetables and feta, with roasted red pepper sauce and garlic sauce). Everything was fresh and delicious, and it was almost enough for two meals. The pita bread was great as well, soft and tasty. Emma had a pita sandwich with chicken, hummus, rice, cous cous, tomato cucumber salad, with tzatziki sauce, and olives. She says it was perfect and delicious, and she loved it. She could eat it every day, 10 out of 10. The atmosphere was good, it has a fresh, clean vibe. The music could have been turned down a little for our tastes, as the space is somewhat echoey. The table arrangement is a bit odd, with one long cafeteria-style table in the middle of the store. If I would change one thing, I would make it more clear from which way to approach the counter. Almost every person who walked in headed the wrong way and had to be guided by the staff, it was kind of funny to watch. We'll definitely be back. Yum!!! Went here for lunch with a friend today and we both loved our food and agreed we'll be back. The ordering is similar to chipotle where you pick your option (pita, rice bowl, or salad) and add as you'd like! You can also choose the classic fillings if you don't want to pick through options. My friend did the classic pita and it was delicious. I did the rice bowl and customized it (by putting a ton of stuff on to try the options). It's similar to a chipotle where you have a choice of bowl or burrito and you add whatever you want to it. At Roti it's a little more extensive than that. Your choices are stuffed pita, rice plate, wrap, and salad bowl. I chose to do the rice platter with the chicken roti. There was a plethora of sauces, veggies, hot spices to choose from. I can't tell you exactly what I added to my plate but I definitely asked for almost everything. And I loved it all. I also ordered a side of pita bread. I ordered a salad bowl and pretty much stocked it full with yummy vegetables! I got both kinds of chicken since I heard the girl ahead of me get talked into it. The chicken was the only negative for me- one option had a lot of funky pieces(thigh meat with skin and fat?) and the kabob had good flavor and was lean, but pretty dry. BUT the vegetable mixes, couscous, feta and more were fabulous! I was super surprised with the prices with how much you get. Great value!
