Man oh man! This is one of my hometown favorites! I used to come here a lot during college and just while I lived in MN... so it was nice to catch up with cousins and get lunch at a local favorite! All the food was great! They also serve I e cream for Sebastian, Joe's (which is ALSO a Minnesotan favorite). Service is always good and everyone was very attentive. And because we went to midday, it was nice to have a quiet place near the windows to sit and eat our meal! This place is great for our work meetings a quick bite or if you just want to Have a nice healthy option, but don't want to cook at home!

The food is always so yummy and the portions are generous. I love the patio in the summertime, especially on Thursday Date Night Special days (such a steal!!). The staff is so kind, hardworking, and keep everything clean. The staff are the best!

    Balsamic Chicken with Strawberries

Another company sponsored lunch and here are my thoughts: I ordered the Balsamic Chicken with strawberry salad that included goat cheese, walnuts, greens and balsamic vinaigrette. Not much of a stickler for buying salads from restaurants just because it's something I can make myself, but I thought it would be an easy feat this one time. Well I sure was mistaken lol. This is considered to be one of their "Signature Salads" which had me pumped to eat healthy, but I was totally mistaken. Though the greens were fresh and leafy, the chicken was very underwhelming and the vinaigrette added nothing to the meal. Two of the main things that could've bumped this salad up a few notches but instead made it worst in flavor and hard to enjoy. From what I heard, my colleagues who ordered sandwiches mentioned having a lot of bread to consume, with few pieces of meat to supplement. They also echoed dislike for how tasteless the chicken was. Their online menu looks so appealing and is indeed impressive but all of the anticipation I had built up prior to actually eating their food, was short lived.

First time eating here. Loved it! I had the Mushroom and Bacon fettuccine and my fiancé had spaghetti and meatballs. We both thought the portions were very nice, food was hot and flavorful! I was debating between this dish and something with shrimp and asparagus and the waiter said to order what I did, I didn't ask why but glad I got this creamy done to perfection dish. My fiancé had the endless craft beer for $10.00 he was very pleasantly surprised with this offering, they have it with their house wine also, but I just had lemon water tonight. The only dissapointment I had at D'Amico's was no french bread or garlic bread or any type of bread served with the entrees, I did not even see it on the menu if you wanted to add on extra $. I need bread with my pasta. Cute building with a nice outside eating area, prices were fair. Both of ours were approx $16.00/each. We will for sure be back. They have a date night special, for $50.00 for 2 entrees with unlimited beer or wine.

Saved our night a few times now. When you spend Al day with the family and your tried. The best thing is to make it easy. D'Amicos is the way to go. Spaghetti, sausage pizza, ice cream. Thank you for saving the day again.

Spaghetti and meatballs, Tuscan Chicken soup, penne pasta, and chicken & cherry pasta

This is my FAVORITE location of D'Amico & Sons in the twin cities. This restaurant has got it all: Big portions, quality ingredients, great menu options, short wait times for food, amazing service, awesome space (especially in the summer since there's a fountain in the back), and convenient parking! All at an affordable price point. This time we had the Tuscan soup, the Spaghetti and meatballs, the Chicken & Cherries pasta, and Chicken penne. The chicken penne had arugula, chicken, penne noodles, tomatoes, and was topped with balsamic vinegar as well as had a red and white sauce that the noodles were in. It tasted fantastic as usual. Same can be said for the chicken and cherries pasta, which has cherries, fusilli noodles, almonds, chicken, and is served in this house made sauce. The spaghetti and Tuscan chicken soup tasted great as well. Come here if you want a wonderful dining experience at a fair price!

D'Amico and Sons is a quaint little spot to go on your own for lunch or dinner. They are constantly making different menu items, but you can always count on something good. When you walk in the main pasta salads and mixes are all in the glass case to view. If you are unsure, they will let you taste it first. If it's available, I try to order this cold brusell sprout salad! They also have soups, hot or cold sandwiches, pasta meals, and pizzas, all prepared once you order. The food is brought out to your table hot and fresh. In the summer, I enjoy eating out on the patio next to the water fountain. This is my favorite D'Amico locations due to the atmosphere, friendly and helpful staff, and patio. Bonus-Sign up for their email updates and get a free meal in your birthday month! They also have date night that changes every month, but typically you can get a bottle of wine, 2 meals and dessert for $30.

First I gotta shout out the staff who were incredibly friendly and helpful. I think they mainly do takeout because the dining space is relatively small but still feels open thanks to the huge windows. They've got one big TV that was showing the history channel? We split 3 things between 4 people and definitely didn't need the 3rd pizza, as delicious as it was. Coal Fired: The crust and bake are the most important part of a pizza and they nailed it here on both counts. It had a nice fermented flavor but wasn't tangy or "raw" at all. The bake was perfect. Crispy on the bottom and rim with nice leoparding (spots) but the crust interior was pillowy soft and just chewy enough. The overarching theme is "salty" in the the best way. I love salty foods and they use a lot of low-moisture, aged cheeses that amp that aspect up. Bar Pizza: This was pretty good, but felt like it didn't know if it should be deep dish or tavern? Wasn't quite as thin as a midwest tavern so you didn't get the crispy bottom I love, but wasn't thick enough to give the nice, fluffy focaccia chew. Crispy edges were amazing, though, as you'd expect. The middle got really soupy and if you wanted something topping-heavy like "The Sarge" I can see it turning a coal-fired version into floppy mush. It still hurts my soul paying ~$30 for a pizza, even 16", but this is a place I would go to with friends for a special occasion and split a pie or two. Plus they have seasonal cannoli! 5 stars for surpassing my expectations.

Key thing is they charge an automatic 20% gratitude for all dining in. I have mix feelings about it. The pizza though are fairly priced and very delicious . My favorite is the sarge bar pizza. The reason why I LOVE Pizza Man? It has nothing to do with their pizza, actually....it has to do…read morewith their WINGS! First off, there have been three (3) comfort food items that I have been searching for since moving to this state: Wonton Soup, pizza and wings. This state is SERIOUSLY lacking in those areas. Wonton wraps from around here are overcooked and fall apart the second you touch them, leaving you with a plastic container of broth, balls of pork and wonton slush. I actually found ONE place that makes them right, but that business is in Roseville and not part of this review. The point is, it took forever bouncing between each business to find the right ones. As for pizza, it's a bit depressing that most pizza around here just flat-out sucks. (Yes, I'm from a big city on the East Coast. I'm a "judgemental, snobby jerk" who "knows everything" about pizza. I know.) The reason why it sucks IN MY OPINION is because I'm not a fan of designer, "we top it with peanut butter and grapes...AREN'T WE COOL AND HIP?" pizza, (BTW: NO. You're not.), nor the ultimate thin crust that is basically like eating marinara sauce off of a burnt cracker. Or even worse, a thin crust loaded with toppings... so that when you pick it up, the top slides right off and you're left with a warm piece of wet cardboard. It's infuriating. And for the record, in an attempt to shut me up and keep me from bitchin' about finding a good pie, I've been taken to most places that people rave about around here. I gave up. Now, as for wings, all I ever want is a wing that is a decent size and NOT over-fried. I could care less for the flavor or seasoning, just spare me the dry sliver of meat you give me because you overcooked any hint of moist, juiciness out of it, leaving me to basically snack disappointingly on, well, crispy, burnt skin. Then I discovered Pizza Man, and it was completely on another whim in my futile attempts to seek out the aforementioned comfort foods. The name "Pizza Man" sounded so basic that I just jokingly, in a shrugging shoulders/hands-in-the-air action of just giving up, said to myself, "Basic name could possibly equal great food? Maybe? Who knows..." Well, it DOES. The wings: PERFECTLY COOKED. I suddenly went from ranting about bad wings across MN to not shutting up about THESE wings. After ordering over and over again for myself, my GF eventually said that she wanted some pizza (since I was ordering wings), so I ordered my first pizza from them as well. I thought, "Uhh ohh...here we go again with another crap pizza." Wouldn't you know it? It, too, was also PERFECT. I was floored. Two of the three things I was searching for were at the same business? If they sold wontons, I'd bet they would nail that art too! So, the food is great, but what REALLY sets them apart is their follow-up with the customer. They email you after each order, thank you for your business and give you easy points to use to order little add-ons, such as cheesecake. (Do I have to mention that even though they don't make the cake, it also is a tasty product?) So, I'm a regular customer now. Probably gonna' order again right after I post this because I'm thinking about those darn wings. THANK YOU, Pizza Man. You get it. You really, really do. These upcoming winter nights will be a lot more bearable knowing that your wings and pizza are ready to go, right there at my fingertips. Signed, Big City Snob
