called Roto Rooter n September to look at my n segment property on Linwood Avenue in East Baltimore. the technician or plumber they sent out didn't know what he was doing. he wanted to begin to put holes in the wall to search for water leak. he put a hole in my ceiling and side wall. I informed him side wall is the only place were pipe is located. he didn't have a leak detector in his possession. without detecting the leak he wanted to replace every pipe in the house for 15,000.00. they charged me 395.00 for the visit after doing nothing for us. I will be placing a complaint with the BBB for possible scamming. I will also be seeking a refund of the fee that they charged. stay away from them. their plumbers are not skilled in emergency service.

This was in the drain roots

Wife called the for a clogged in drain. They came out didn't fixed the problem charged her $1206 for snaking a drain which was the wrong drain. Told her she needed a exterior cleanout pipeline. She got someone else and they took care of the problem and charged $175. Told her the exterior cleanout pipeline will cost almost $12000.

Where water was flooding my basement thanks to Roto-Rooter plumber hitting my water line with an excavator
    Brandon D.

Roto-Rooter was hired by my neighbor to fix their leaking water line on 10/27/23. In the process of fixing their water line the Roto-Rooter plumber hit my water line causing damage to the line and causing water to flood basement. I run a small business out of my basement so the water damaged my office and some inventory. Throughout the rest of that day I was assured by multiple people that Roto-Rooter would "make this right". About 4 hours later Roto-Rooter clean up company shows up to try and save what they could. They put some fans and some heaters in my basement to try and dry it out while taking some rugs that got soaked outside as well as my damaged inventory. After they got done they advised me they would show up the next day 10/28/23 at 2pm. Overnight on 10/27 my breaker kept tripping due to the amount of fans and heaters going in my basement. I advised them on the morning of 10/28/23 that my daughters room cannot even have a single light on or it will cause the breaker to trip and same with the upstairs bathroom. I received no response, but knew they were supposed to be at my home at 2pm to check on things and would probably address the issue then. At 2:35pm no one had showed up so I decided to call the tech that was supposed to come out. He advised me he would be there "between 3-5pm, but definitely before 5pm". I advised him that I have moved me and my family to my parents residence about 15 minutes away since I cannot use the basement because of water, the upstairs is limited on electricity, and it was 80+ degrees in my home (because of the heaters). So if he would text me or call me before showing up I could meet him over there. At 5:38 I receive a ring door bell notification that they were there. At this time I was out of town at dinner since the tech advised me he would "definitely be there before 5pm". They rung the door bell and left without calling me or notifying me they were there. At around 8:00pm on the same day I received a call from the tech's helper and apologized for their tardiness and assured me that they are here to "work around my schedule". I advised them I would be home in the morning of 10/29/23 and they replied that the earliest they could get to my home would be 2pm. I advised I can be at my home at 2pm on 10/29/23 so these issues can be addressed. On 10/29/23 no one shows up to my home until 3:18pm (I know this because of my ring notification). At 2:35 that day I decided to leave my home assuming they were not coming and received no contact from them advising they would be late. I received a call at 3:37pm advising they were at my home, but left and I advised them that I was giving my daughter a bath at the time of the ring notification. I then asked why didn't they give me any sort of heads up or notification that they were going to be late. The tech on the phone from Roto-Rooter let me know that he was dialing the wrong phone number for the last 2 days which is why I did not receive any updates or notifications from them. On Monday I receive notification from the employee who is in charge of this claim and states that "a tech will be to your residence today to address the issues" I asked for a time and he could not give me one. So I waited at my 80+ degree house for hours before leaving and returning to my parents residence. After unsuccessfully trying to pin down a time by contacting numerous different individuals within Roto-Rooter I assumed they would not show up. And in fact they did not show up at all on Monday 10/30/23. On Tuesday 10/31/23 a Roto-Rooter tech finally showed up on time after notifying me a hour before he was going to show up. He took their equipment and left. Since this contact with the tech on 10/31/23 I am writing this review on 11/2/23 and have yet to receive an update on my carpet that was damaged, my inventory that was damaged, my carpet padding that was damaged, my time lost from work, my future electric bill, the giant hole in my yard from the neighbors job and anything else that Roto-Rooter caused from the very beginning. So basically to summarize this long review if you want to hire a plumber who makes mistakes and then the company lacks communication, and drags their feet through the process which they caused hire Roto-Rooter. This company does not care about my small business, my family, my home, or anything associated with me since I did not pay them anything unlike the neighbor. Thank you for taking the time to read this review. If this situation does get rectified I will update this review.

We set up a time to meet the following day. The next day Khuma texted me when he was in route and arrived on time with his assistant, They both put on shoe coverings before entering my home. After taking a look at the heater he assured me he could check several systems to find the culprit and gave me an estimate. The work was completed in about an hour. He then showed me the various systems he had checked as well as the results. He ended up placing a new valve on the overflow system. He cleaned up the work area when he was done. He also took $50.00 off the quoted estimate and charged me $200.00. I found Khuma to be polite, and concerned. The quality of the work and the knowledge he demonstrated in the type of water heater system was impressive. He even quoted the amount to replace the entire system. I placed his name in my call list under plumbers in case I would need future help. I would definitely recommend him for anyone needing help with a plumbing issue. LB Feb, 2026

When the installers arrived, they discovered plumbing issues and were unable to complete the installation. I submitted a Yelp request for a plumber, and Khuma from Ebenezer Plumbing and Drain Services responded quickly. They offered the best price, fixed the plumbing issues, and installed the dishwasher without any hassle. Before leaving, they thoroughly tested the unit to make sure everything was working properly. Khuma even followed up afterward, just as he promised, to ensure everything was still running smoothly. I really appreciate their professionalism, fair pricing, and follow-through. I'd absolutely recommend Ebenezer Plumbing and Drain Services for any plumbing needs!

Saved by Ehrhardt Brothers Quality Plumbing! (West of Baltimore, a.k.a ColumbiaPlumber)…read more Sunday evening, our water felt less hot than usual. Monday, it was only as warm as we keep the house, and only as much water as there is in the pipes! Our gas water-heater failed! Bad timing, too. Last week was what Chicago calls Fools'-Spring ... around 70°. But this week was back to Second-Winter, 30° (Mar 2026). And the next warm days, which Chicago calls the "Spring-of-Deception", is still ten days away. There was water leaking from the heater. This is considered the calm before the 50-gallon tsunami. If this is home-remedy advice, First call a friend who has successfully navigated this problem. Next shut off the gas and then the pilot. Next shut off the water inlet. Your friend will have at least one plumber to recommend. (They will enjoy that...) If your garden hose isn't frozen to the spigot, drain the water tank. If frozen, spend a sleepless night with the 24/7 plumber's number on speed-dial. We chose #2.  We made it through the night. Two of our friend's recommendations were small-businesses, our preference, and we asked all three for quotes and availability. Ehrhardt was ready to offer a price based on our descriptions and photos, of course with caveats for anything unexpected. I considered their bid to be a pretty-penny, but I'll say it was less than our friend's expectation, and more than our friend in Cleveland expected. A fair price. They came the next morning, and it might have been sooner if we had called right away. We cleared a path for them through the house, and they had the water heater replaced in 90min. Impressive. We went out for St. Pat's. But what we should have done was what they told us: check the pilot light for about 30min, and test the hot water after 60 to 90min. We came home to cold water. I'll admit some grumpiness. We called in the morning, and they came back in a jiffy (our apologies to everyone else who had appointments that day). In 30min, they figured it out: a faulty pilot in the new, just-unboxed water heater. They had a replacement part over-nighted. The next morning, in 30min, done. This time we did as told: checked the pilot after 20min (and nervously, an extra time again after that). Still lit! The second time we checked, the hot water outlet was noticeable warm. By 60min, hot water from the faucets! By 90min, much to relief of nearly everyone i know, a piping hot shower. AAAAAHHH :-) Ok, so how does three visits equal 5-stars! The hardest question answered first: Because the problem was the manufacturer's fault, and Ehrhardt handled it flawlessly: Excellent communication by Ehrhardt, priority attention to our problem, no excuses, just fast resolution. Great service staff, from the office to my house. Fair price. I admit that I'm writing this in the after-glow of that hot shower. This could be the start of a beautiful situationship.

He mentioned they may only be able to do the consultation since they had another job, so from the very start I felt like we were receiving rushed service. Dan and his apprentice spent a little less than an hour knocking holes in our drywall (in one closet he just started hitting the wall with a hammer) only to make his way up to the attic to tell me we had a roof leak. As I had mentioned in my original consultation, this was in fact a vent pipe leak that I would have been happy to pay to have addressed. Instead, we went through two roof consultations before I crawled up in the attic and fixed the vent pipe myself. I tried to reach out to Dan to let him know this was actually a plumbing issue and received no response. We found TNT through one of the Yelp project requests and I deeply regret choosing them as opposed to some of our other options. Between the price paid, the lazy investigation of the pipe, and the lack of response when I reached out to have the situation rectified, I am seriously disappointed with their service.
