I enjoyed myself a lot more this time when I came and actually got the pizza this time. We had a much smaller group so it was easier for us to just order a few pizzas to split. I also took one home to hubby. My fav was the Taco Everyday. I have no idea what they put on top, maybe queso? It was strange looking but tasted great! I also liked the Buffalo Soldier which surprised me because I usually hate buffalo stuff. But this one had a buffalo drizzle instead of drowning the pizza in buffalo sauce so it tasted great! Ordered a couple of pizzas here for dinner the other night. Got a Hawaiian pizza and a pepperoni pizza. Had never had food from here before, so I wasn't really sure what to expect. Honestly, both pizzas were pretty good. I was so happy the Hawaiian pizza had jalapeños on it for that spice factor. It wasn't overly spicy and I love how the flavors meshed. I guess I'm a fan of Hawaiian pizza now lol. The pepperoni pizza was basic, but still flavorful. I will likely be returning to try other flavors of pizza or to create my own. read more

Went to Rock'n Dough Pizza & Brewery for date night and honestly everything was really good. We started with the garlic knots app and omg the marinara with the goat cheese was sooo creamy and good together. We got a 16 inch pizza with half USA USA and half Carnivore and both sides had alot of flavor. The crust was cooked just right and not too hard. The brew master pretzels with the queso was probably one of my favorite things we ordered lol. I also had the Italian grinder with fries and it was fresh and filling. My husband got the red pasta and said it was really good too. We ended the night with the beignets and they were the perfect sweet treat after all that food. Great pizza place! Two locations fairly close to one another. I work remotely and my office is is Germantown. When in town, I've gotten in the habit of stopping by one of these locations and have yet to be disappointed. The one closer to I-40 is a 'newer' seeming location but the atmosphere is great. The bartender was a riot and her fun attitude and overall friendliness added to the delicious pizza. The other location, off Poplar, feels more like a neighborhood pub. Was there recently and was welcomed by other guests who were 'regulars'. Again, the food was great and the service was top notch. Definitely a favorite. Five stars. read more

This might be my go to pizza place. The pizza has the wood fire crust which I love. I ordered online (price was good for a 12in) as a carry out. I can't speak much to service but the women at the register seemed nice. I liked the environment, it has a sports bar vibe but also just a good place for dinner. Rock'n Dough Germantown has made their way into my heart. All with amazing customer service. My daughter celebrated her 21st birthday and from the time we walked in the door until we left we didn't have to ask for a thing. The restaurant was clean and we were greeted upon entry. We were escorted back to their "party room" which isn't an extra fee and our waitress was right in it. I wish I remembered her name. She was so sweet and amazing!!! She needs a raise ASAP! We had a party of around 15. Our food came out quick and hot. And our sodas stayed filled. Even the manager came to check on us. I come often for lunch and now I'm a super fan. Please make sure to go visit and tell them Angela praises had you running in the door!! But seriously it's not often you receive that level of service and I'm so grateful to them. This place has their own brews and have a thin crust pizza. The do have vegan cheese so you can customize your own but they have one vegan pizza that it's pretty yummy. They also have a veggie one, another one, which you could make it vegan by subbing for vegan cheese. Service is delightful, we were treated by Ema who was so courteous and thoughtful and answer all our vegan questions. Never mind the good review a couple months ago. There was a mixup with the order the back in November. Without me asking someone (manager?) called me back and mentioned they'd leave a free pizza voucher for me at the front till. Went in for an order today and no one could find it. Wasn't so much disappointed with the food, but someone calling you and telling you that they'd do that that I go there and ask for it; made me feel cheap after waiting for the server to discuss with the manager on duty at this time. No one even had the courtesy to come talk to me or ask about it. Interestingly they knew my name from the only one previous time I had ordered here from my number. We decided to give this place a try on a whim and we're not disappointed! We ordered the pretzel with beer cheese (standard bar fare, yummy but certainly far from gourmet) and a large pizza to share (1/2 the roni, 1/2 the rita) + a few drinks. The pizza was delicious and enormous (we snacked on it for days). Drinks were good, service was good. There was a slightly longer than expected wait for the food, but we attribute that to the pandemic and staff shortage. Overall, we will def be back! My husband and I visited this location for the first time and it was great. Our waitress Annabelle went over the menu thoroughly and even let us taste the sauces for the wings before we ordered. The loaded fries with the in house ranch was so good and I don't like ranch. The buffalo wings were crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside and the in house blue cheese was to die for. My husband loved his beer bbq wings as well and we got the USA pizza which we were too full to eat but a bite of. Rock n Dough catered for the St Jude 70.3 Ironman today and the pizza was AMAZING!! They brought Ooni ovens so the pizza was hot and fresh all day long - and most importantly - it was delicious!! My personal favorites were the Roni - with 3 different kinds of pepperoni (I didn't even know there was more than one kind!!) and the Super Freak...that might have been my favorite!! The super freak has a white sauce, caramelized onions, sausage and honey!!! It really is fantastic - highly recommend this if you stop in one of their locations! Also - I would be remiss if I didn't point out that the team of three (with help from my team of volunteers) served more than 1000 tri- athletes today. Great pizza! We pick up food from here every Sunday. Always take out, but we go inside to pick up the orders, and the atmosphere is really cool. We always order cheese pizza, plant pizza, and a large Greek Salad with chicken. All are great. I've had pizza from all over the Memphis area, and this place is top notch. Went for Sunday Brunch today. We were immediately seated. I ordered boiled eggs, sausage, bacon, potatoes and a biscuit. I had the most bizarre conversation with our server about what a boiled egg is. He actually didn't know. He kept asking did I mean poached. I had to explain in VERY simplistic terms what a boiled egg is. Ok once we got past that, my husband ordered waffle sliders. It took longer than normal to receive our order. The manager ended up bringing the food out and explaining that there was confusion in the kitchen about my eggs. I am floored again but anyway. My food was fantastic. The eggs were boiled perfectly. It pains me to give Rock'n Dough such a mediocre review. I have been going there at least once a month for almost 3 years now. I always get the same thing, a small or medium rita pizza. The quality of the pizza has gone down drastically in the last 6-7 months. I don't know if I have been just going at the wrong times and getting a bad chef, but my pizza has been unsatisfying 9 out of 10 times over the past few months. There's barely any cheese on the pizza, i started ordering it with extra cheese and I still find myself having slices with no cheese. They've also been putting entirely too much sauce on it. It's like they changed the way that they make it and I'm not happy about it. When I voice my disdain, the people that work they just say "that's how it's made". Uhhhh no it's not I've been coming here longer than you have worked here! Anyway, they have good salads, the beignets are a joke, and the service is blah. A year ago I would've given them 4 stars, based on the food and service. But now I'm being generous with 2 stars. If they changed management within that time frame, they need to make another change before they permanently lose loyal customers like myself. read more

I understand that COVID has put businesses especially restaurants in a tough position and that the politicians have made it hard for them to make money and I try to go out and support them despite the circumstances. However No matter the situation the times have put you in you should never lose your attention to customer service. Tonight I was berated at Rock n Dough over a mask issue. Was yelled at by what I believe was a manager and followed to my table. I held my cool because I was with friends and didn't want to make them feel more uncomfortable than they already felt. Then as I stared at the kitchen all night I noticed multiple of their cooks wearing their mask on there chin. If your going to scold the paying customers at least keep your same standard with your staff. Because of how outlandish this dude was I will not be back and neither will my friends. Go to Memphis Pizza Cafe, way better and less expensive and definitely not rude. Rock and Dough. I'm not sure about this whole giant, big as hell slice of "almost thick crust" pizza. My slice would have been much better cut into two equal parts and reheated and then put on a plate together. There was just way to much dough to get hot. I get what you are doing. $4.50 is a lot for a slice of pepperoni pizza and you are trying to make an impression. Today's was by far the largest, heaviest, "slice" of pizza I have ever been served at R&D. It was enormous! I was quite giddy when I received my slice and she said "there's pepperoni on there I promise, I just put a ton of cheese on it". There was way more cheese than I have ever seen added to a slice here also. Set a standard and adhere to it. Upon mopping up the grease of the pizza (this is something I do and not a bad thing at all) I see the damn cheese isn't fully melted in the center. Again? Really? I've been to all three Memphis locations and I have experienced the exact same thing. It was just barely warm in the center. The cheese melted but the center of the dough was not hot at all! I ate about 60% of it and gave up and left. I'm going to cut to the chase here. I have said the same thing twice in two other reviews at two other locations. The pizza is not reheated adequately! I have never had a good slice of pizza here. Today I overheard my server giving pizza reheating tips to the actual cook. "How do you know when it's ready?" "When the cheese starts to melt" she said... WRONG! It's not done! The manager/owner was busy building a shelf or something and didn't notice anything while I was there. I have eaten in Jackson and Poplar/Highland, but never here in Germantown. I liked this one just as much. I made it a point to sit as far from the front doors as possible. Drivers in the parking lot are wild and some may come straight through the front door. You aren't safe by the window either. You need at least a couple extra tables to protect you. The pizza is wonderful although it is kind of weird how they add a bit of uncooked cheese onto the slices. I was in an extra cheesy mood so I tried the mozzarella sticks, which actually came out as circles. Tony the Tiger says They are great!
