Wow, passed by this place probably 100 times thought it was some cheese ball franchise pizzeria, but man I was wrong quick stop to grab my son. A couple of slices. Didn't even look at it. Round Pie Pizza Company makes a pretty good pizza. Their pizza is thin and it is not heavy. I could eat an entire pie because there is almost no crust or undercarriage. I also tried the garlic knots and they were okay. The knots did not have an overpowering garlic taste but I got them delivered so they were cold. Nonetheless, the packaging for delivered food is fantastic. I ordered soup as well and it came in a branded bag with the soup container wrapped in aluminum foil. We ordered for take out for the kids to eat while the wife and I had dinner plans elsewhere. I was going to save my appetite but after seeing how delicious the pie looks, I can't helped but take a slice. The pizza is on the thinner side which I actually prefer. Heard good things about this place. Their pizzas are super thin and I do like crispy thin pizzas so was excited to try. Ordered margarita and a meat lovers through their online ordering platform. It said pizzas would be ready in about 20-30 mins. But after about 5 mins when I checked online, it said the pizzas were ready. What?!? So I rushed to pick up my order and by the time I brought it home, cold pizza. Meat lovers was super super salty. Crusts on the edges were very very burnt on both pies. Margarita was ok but probably bc it was completely cold. Very unhappy with this experience. They also make a fabulous chicken parmigiana. Round pie is definitely worth trying. Staff is friendly and accommodating. It's clean. There also well organize. Absolutely the worst service ever! I went today to pick up an order for around $100 worth of food and the employee Mia who was working the register just completely ignored me while she answered multiple calls for orders. She left me standing there while my order was getting cold. Eager to bring warm food back home to my family I finally interrupted her when she was about to take another call interacting with another employee all the while continuing to ignore me so I simply and politely asked her if she could just turn around and grab my order for me before she does anything else. Instead she gave me a total passive aggressive better than thou attitude scolding me for interrupting her telling me I put the person on hold acting like how dare I interrupt her from taking another phone call. I have been going there for years without a single incident however if this is how they treat loyal customers I would rather give my business to deninos across the street! This is the problem with family business the younger generation get entitled and think they are better than everyone because their older family members put in all of the hard work and they younger generation does not know what respect and hard work is! It was a bad business decision to leave this store in her hands as there were zero adults there to manage the normal flow of business and customers. So after we exchanged some additional dialogue I voiced my resentment that I will now be bringing cold food home to my family she continued to be disrespectful all I wanted her to say was sorry hold on a second instead of just totally ignoring me for something so simple as a ten seconds or less transaction as my order was pre paid! In the end I came home with cold food as this took easily 8-15 minutes from start to finish and I was so upset I didn't even bother to eat my meal definitely not how you should treat a good customer who has been going to this location since the first day the opened always tipping well and ordering for my business and family members and friends! I will be sure to share this experience with everyone I know as often I am asked what is good in this neighborhood I use to recommend round pie now I will be forced to make other recommendations. My husband and I ordered for the first time on Wednesday and we wanted to start light so we got the classic cheese pizza and the zeppoli's. Not many places around here (if not any) zeppoli's. It's like I remember growing up getting them from the pizza places in Staten Island. The pizza is ultra thin crust which is really nice because you don't feel super bloated and full afterwards. Delicious sauce, the pie is really big. Much bigger then a standard size. So far very good. My mom and sister ordered 2 times from the Old Bridge location after I told them about it. They were also very happy. I'm so excited that it's so close. To me, it beats any other place around. Denino's gets so expensive when you add topping. Round pie in matawan just opened about a week ago and we have had their pizza twice already. So good and tasty. Today we tried their fried cheese calzone for the first time. Not so good. Thinking fried we expected the outside to be oily, instead the dough was dry and bland. Inside there was very little mozzarella cheese. The calzone was a disappointment. I've lived here for about 2 years and finally just tried Round Pie a few weeks ago. Look- Round Pie is amazing. Service here is always friendly which is a bonus. I never dread walking in the door knowing there will be an attitude behind the counter. This is not Jersey Shore boardwalk pizza though so be ready for a thin crispy crust. If we are looking for our Jersey favorite we go someplace else, but when we want a thin crust Round Pie is THE PLACE to go. The Cauliflower crust is perfection (kind of expensive but I don't even care). I'm not a fan of anything from Staten Island (Ouch, I know, sorry!!) or actually a fan of gobs of cheese and an enormous amount of sauce on pizza, so once again, perfection! Really sad to leave a 1 star review because the pizza and food in general is 5 stars, classic Jersey pizza, but the service and wait times are terrible. No one except the person at the front is wearing a mask. Delta is raging and no one at this establishment cares about the safety of you or your children, apparently. Also, I ordered two eggplant parm paninis for pickup today, showed up 20 minutes after the time they offered to give them a good buffer, and when I showed up they had made chicken parm paninis instead. They took 30 minutes to make the replacements and there was zero apology about the mistake or the amount of time it took to get my order right. Go to Denino's across the street instead and save yourself the trouble and time. EDITED AFTER MANAGER'S RESPONSE: Yes, we did get the extra sandwiches, which weren't offered so much as they were stuffed in the bag, and I didn't see them until I got home after waiting ONE HOUR for food at your restaurant. Once again I will note that getting free chicken items after placing what was mostly a vegetarian order is pretty useless. Thank god my brother and I eat chicken, so we can actually make use of this amazing gift that your staff so generously provided after fucking up and not even asking us whether we wanted them. I gotta give credit, Round Pie food is arguably better than most in town, after 5-6 orders we are yet to be disappointed and I get coupons and deals nearly daily.
