After she got off the phone, instead of acknowledging us, she started asking people at random if they were there for pickup and even spoke to someone who had just walked in before finally turning to us. We told her we wanted to dine in, and she said we could order at the counter and then seat ourselves. No physical menu was offered, but thankfully I had already scanned the QR code. We placed a simple order: a large pepperoni pizza, two draft IPAs (with no list of options provided), and a salad. We paid upfront, including tip, and found a table. There was a bit of a wait before she poured our beers, and the IPA choices turned out to be limited to just a Blood Orange Double IPA or a Hazy. The salad came out quickly, followed by the pizza, which wasn't very hot. The pizza reminded me of Little Caesar's as a child, and real light on the cheese and pepperoni. While we were waiting, I noticed a man sitting in the corner with a laptop and earpiece, talking the entire time and even helping himself behind the bar. When the employee came over with our drinks, I quietly asked if he was the manager or owner, she said he wasn't, which was confusing. The place felt overwhelmed and understaffed. Throughout our meal, we were swatting away fruit flies, and there didn't seem to be any air circulation, it was stuffy and warm inside. Overall, not a great experience. I'd recommend skipping this spot and continuing on.

When I questioned the higher price I was told that their prices had changed in January. I stated that this was illegal and that the advertised price should be honored. The server refused to lower the price stating that the owner knew the price was wrong but would not honor it. I went ahead and paid, as I had hungry kids waiting, but we will not be returning here again, even after many years as a loyal customer.

Poor quality all around! Pineapple on their salad bar is rotten once a wk, why is their no quality control???? Workers are always lazy and standing by soda machine and have phones, paying games or soemthing! No one pays attention, I have stood at the counter for 5 minutes while the girl in the back ignored it with her headphones on the whole time?? This store is disgusting and dirty, there is a flooded drain under the salad bar that has food in it all the time!! Workers stand around and no one says anything but my pizza is still late!! Where is the leadership in this store and why isn't the manager in control of the crew? One girl is always running around cleaning, bigger girl I think her name was Angelina. She is very nice and used to be a leader there, sad she isn't one now cause she's the one that cleans only it looks like! U can always hear the workers talking bad about others and cussing and I wonder if they paid more attention to their jobs than gossip if the store would be clean and pizza wouldn't be burnt or made wrong !! Another small tomato placed under the other huge slice of cheese. I want to say, I noticed one manager type woman with glasses trying to handle & seat the incoming parties, she took my order immediately at the register, I waited 16 minutes for a sandwich that was prepared just however, with key ingredients left out, the customer was not even asked if they minded, customer was left to find out later at home, terrible service, shame on you Vacaville Mary's Pizza Shack. Not fair to give the consumer a delicious sandwich weeks ago, and then switch it up weeks later when a different person makes it , and no manager is in control of the food prep and quality. Then leaving ingredients off without any communication to the customer who wanted this delicious sandwich that you and your staff completed messed up!
