I only gave 3 stars because RTP is always tasty, but I've only been here a few times because the customer service is always lacking. I called in to ask the guy what the difference was between pan and regular crust and he couldn't even answer my question. He said "pan crust is thicker, but it's thinner". I don't even know what that means, so I just got the stuffed crust. Not the employees fault, just feels like he hasn't been trained properly by management. If he was the manager then he shouldn't be. We come here frequently for their dinner buffet on Tuesdays because it's a good deal, not necessarily because the pizza is good. ($9 per person) The salad bar is actually better than the pizza part, so much variety and every thing is fresh. This place is going downhill. I used to enjoy eating here but now I'm so turned off by the lack of attention to cleanliness and general upkeep. Toilets out of order, filthy bathrooms, mold/mildew. This place is in desperate need of some attention/maintenance. So tacky to mount plastic "Wet Floor" sign hooks on the back of a booth chair and hang the signs on it permanently. The last 3 times we have gone, it's been dirty -crumbs on the tables and seats, even after being "cleaned". The pizza itself is OK. Your typical Round Table Pizza. $30 for a large pie though. I guess this is about normal nowadays. The customer service is all over the place too. You have your usual hodge podge of teenagers who'd rather not be there, and don't mind giving you 'tude and stankeye, as well as good hard workin folk. I am not one to review chain restaurants, but this particular location deserved my extra attention. I LOVE Round Table pizza. I worked at the Calvine location during high school and know how fresh the ingredients are. With that being said.... This location in particular does not live up to the Round Table standard. We went here only because of the convenience, but after our last experience, we are NEVER coming back here again. Customer service here is horrible and the presentation of the pizza is nothing to write home about. The dough here tastes like 4 day old bread. I personally would eat a Little Caesar pizza over the pizza made at this location. Save your money and get a pizza somewhere else. Round Table Pizza has always been my FAV! Over the years, usually at the request of my mate at the time I have tried pizza from different parlors. Pizza Guys isn't bad and the price is very fair at around $20 for the ultimate. Still, Round Table I believe makes far and away the best tasting pizza. The only parlor that ever came close as far as I was concerned was a small local chain, Shakey's Pizza, gone now, only a fond memory. However, like Round Table as much as I do, they are pricing themselves out of the market. I am usually a double pepperoni guy but saw the advertisement for the maui pizza and it is surprisingly fabulous! No more pepperoni for me, my taste buds are screaming out for variety! And to think I used to say, "Pineapple on pizza? Has the whole world gone mad?" Now I love it! Anyway, best pizza I have ever had and I am always loyal, however, Round Table, you have priced yourselves out of the market. My last 3-4 pizza orders, large Maui's with soda and pepperoni are getting close to $40.00 orders, it is only pizza! I had a friend who owned a parlor, private owned and he used to brag about the mark-up and he was 30% cheaper than Round Table. And of course... "No coke, pepsi" Does Pepsi own Round Table too! I know they had to buy Taco Bell and Kentucky Fried Chicken because everybody else preferred Coca-Cola products during the cola wars. So, we have to part ways, not because of the pizza, it is fabulous but I believe someone else can do the same for considerably less. I will never order out from this location again and will be complaining to corporate. I live 5 minutes away. I'm pregnant n don't feel like going anywhere, so I order a pizza for delivery. I'm told 45 minutes. Nothing for over an hour. Then my pizza shows up smashed and cold. Wings look n feel like they have been sitting out. Just ridiculous! Where to start. My family and I came for the buffet. When we arrived we had to wait at the counter for 15 mins before anyone came to help us. The guy was there and helped the people in front of us. Then walked away. Than when we finally got helped, we sat down and got our pizza and salad. Pizza options where very limited. My salad had hair in it! So gross! I always order my favorite, vegetarian with no onions, no peppers, add artichoke hearts. Sometimes I order anchovies on the side. I also have ranch dressing at home if I want to add it. My receipt said that my pizza would be ready at 6:51pm. My wife arrived at Round Table Pizza to pick it up at 6:55pm. The employee told her it would be another 5 minutes. My wife waited 10 minutes and the employee told her that it would take another 10 minutes, with no explanation. First time trying Round Table and I actually enjoyed it! The location is very spacious and clean. I came in around 2 and I noticed their wasn't many people in the restaurant. The atmosphere is casual and welcomes families and any other person with an appetite. Ordered Items: the Garlic parmesan Twist, a chicken sandwich with a side of ranch and a drink. Lets first start with the Twists, they taste like breadsticks but just 10X's better. They have delicious melted cheese in every bite and the seasoning is just perfect. I ordered 3 and wasn't sure how big they'd be. To my surprise they were huge. The chicken sandwich was nothing special, but it was still good. Overall, the food was delicious and we had good customer service. I didn't get a chance to Taste the pizza, but im sure it tasted good. I will find a Round Table near me and definitely try the twists again. read more

I've ordered from this place for years. They were my favorite pizzeria in Elk Grove. My favorite fast food in Elk Grove next to Wendy's and In 'N' Out. However, it seems the Elk Grove sauce-czar has annexed "the last honest pizza". I'd like to say "it started with..", but it was really all at once one fateful day a couple of weeks ago with wings with next to zero hot buffalo sauce, over cooked breadsticks (the greatest sin a Roundtable could commit), and on top of it all, they limit ranch sauce like it's coming out of employee paychecks. When we called them on the minimal buffalo sauce, they (to their credit) sent us out double the wings done right, yet still wanted to fight us on the ranch sauce (how expensive is mayo, milk, and Hidden Valley Ranch spice packets?). Tonight, in addition to burnt breadsticks and the bare minimum ranch, they even provided marinara unrequested for the first time ever. Spoiler: We're not marinara folks. I'm hoping this changes so I can give this location 5 stars. Edit: The service has been consistently wonderful since I wrote this. This continues to be my favourite pizzeria in EG! read more

My dining experiences here have always been positive. The taste of the dough after it's bake reminds me of the old time Italian pizzeria that once was established around the local area. The service seems alright. Yes, I said it was alright. Not the best but what do you expect when the place is busy. The nice cashier talked me into the pizza buffet inside of just a salad. I would have been better off with just the salad bar. Now sit back and listen or read.... Whichever makes you happy. When there was pizza at the pizza buffet table it was awesome. But after requesting them to replenish the depleting the disappearing pizzas and waiting over 30 minutes plus for pizzas to be put out on the buffet they lost a star. I watch the other patrons seat and wait. Deciding to watch people come up and walk back mad because there wasn't any pizzas out was interesting to say the less. I even watch a customer being back a pizza to the counter and explain his wife couldn't eat red sauce. Yes, the pizza he returned had red sauce on it. No, they didn't refund the pizza. The cashier who was taking care of this particular customer explained to him that at the moment all she could offer him was a few salads to go home. Yes, I timed this encountered while waiting and it was a lengthy altercation to say the less. The pizza quality was amazing when it came out of the oven. Delicious and scrumptious were the cinnamon twists and bread twists. The food fare is and has been above par. Dripping cheese with red marinara sauce tempts the even picky eater to rejoice in pleasure after the first taste. Management called me after I filed a complaint online. The gentleman reassured me that there was supposed to be pizza at the buffet consistently. Of course I know this because I frequently another Round Table established close to my work that knows what they are doing at lunch time with their buffet. Will we be back? Of course we will. We travel across the city to come to Excalibur Round Table Pizza once it twice a month. read more
