This is my go to place, I used to be a Pizza Hut guy but ever since I had a bad experience with one of their locations I stopped eating there. The Pizza Guys on Bruceville road in Elk Grove always makes the most delicious pizza! I even tried the Pizza Hut down the street from them but their pizza was so nasty. The Pizza Guys uses the perfect proportion of sauce and cheese. All I tasted was marinara sauce from the Pizza Hut pizzas. Carl, one of the workers at the Pizza Guys always greets me and is always friendly. I'm starting to learn their names since I've been eating there so much haha. I've never had a bad experience with Carl other than one time the place was so busy and the customers started getting rude and impatient. I've worked at a Little Caesars and know how that goes so I kept calm and tried to reassure the other customers that they're just very busy and light staffed that day. Today's experience was no different, my order was very quick because it wasn't busy and I got to stop by and chat with the workers. The location and overall cleanliness is never an issue, although the lobby is small but I'm usually in and out in a few minutes. I wait until I get the notification that my pizza is ready, which is almost always accurate. Since switching over to Pizza Guys I no longer purchase pizza from other businesses in Elk Grove. The pizza is made with really good ingredients and made to perfection. When you bite into pizza the crust is delicious and the cheese and ingredients are piled generously. Quick delivery and worth checking out the sweet deals online. My personal fav is 1/2 orders with one side with pizza guys combo and the other side with garlic lover pizza. The pizza had hardly any cheese. We ordered thin crust with cheese, black olives, and mushrooms. Lots of sauce. Very little cheese. Every few years we try Pizza Guys. Every few years we are disappointed. What you see in the picture seems to be crust "bubbling" or rising and just sauce. That actually are "bare" portions of the pizza with just sauce. No cheese. No mushrooms. No black olives. Lots and lots of sauce. $33.00 wasted. Delivery order. Done with this pizza place, again. Maybe we will try Domino's! First had super thin soggy crust, drenched in sauce, total of one sliver of onion and bell pepper each slice, no sausage, and scattered thin sliced mushroom. 10/27/2023- First time to order a pizza and have it delivered. For many years in the past, we used to order pizzas for our judo tournaments held at Crc. We always sold out the first few hours.. and the pizza was really good..and they always arrived promptly.. Since we had a big lunch, and it was late for dinner, decided to give it a shot.. Ordered a large with pepperoni, sausage and salami. Also ordered the garden salad. Kind of bummed because I wanted to be able to do my check in to get the ice cream lol.. I was there a bit later in the day after all the rush for the game (49er game) today that I had no idea about. I was at the Sacramento Costco and the food court was mad crazy so I skipped the pizza there. Stopped by Costco in Elk Grove only to find out they are remodeling the food court so I was out of luck. I searched for the closest Pizza Guys because that's what I normally use when I want something aside from peperoni pizza (what Costco sells for $10). Yes I ended up paying more for it here in the end but I got a specialty pizza for my wife and I, and one peperoni for the kids. On the plus size I also got a 2 liter soda for free when I picked up.
