So, I work in an office near Santana Row. We frequently order from this location due to it's proximity. Every time we order, they get something on our order WRONG. It's not a big deal, we just want to get the refund for things we never got. It isn't like we're mean or we get upset. It's a simple "Hey we never got these can we get a refund?". All of us have listened on as one of our (female) coworkers get VERBALLY talked down to on the phone in regards to their mistakes. I've lived two blocks away from this round table and I've eaten at this round table at least twice a month for the past 40 years I've seen a lot of changes and lately it's been changing for the worst. The Bathroom floor is always wet looks like overflowed toilet and piss probably. The new employee seems to have an attitude unless I caught him on his bad day, I'm sure seeing a change in people working there for the worst . salad bar was put away completely when I walked in at 9 45 and Yelp says they close at 11pm that round table closes at 10 p.m., they need to change that information on their site. Medium salami pizza for under $15 with check in special!! We order for pick up on a Friday night. Placed on hold for a few moments and out order was fresh and hot for prompt pick up. Lots of parking in back with an entrance so you don't have to walk on the busy street. There is a bar to sit at with a good selection of beer on tap. Salad bar did seem pretty sparse unfortunately. There were a few arcade games for children. Lots of seating for larger groups/parties. Next time I will remember to order light sauce but besides that out pizza was delicious!!! read more

I have ordered a pizza with a coupon 16.99 Specialty pizza / large combination about 15-20 times in the past. Well I usually have the phone to the closest Round Table Pizza that would deliver to our home in Santa Clara. But because I got a new phone I didn't have the number saved. So I called this one thinking it might be the one that would deliver to me. Well not the case, the one on the Alameda is the correct closest one. But the girl on the phone said "Oh no i can just take your order and let them know they have a delivery" Well as she is taking my information address, then what I would like to order with my coupon. She states " We cannot do delivery that are not over $18.00 " !!! Okay so why in the past I have never had a problem before. She said well they are just really getting tight on orders.... I just got really irritated and said "Ill just call Mountain Mikes and make an order" I didn't I just called the Alameda Round Table Pizzar and yup all they had to do is get my phone number and all my address was there. No Problems.... I ordered my Specialtity Coupon Pizza Combination for 16.99 and with tax it came out to $21.30 ! This place is gross and this review isnt even from me eating there!!!!! I was getting my car serviced at a nearby dealership and decided to walk my dog while I waited. Walked past this place shortly after 1030am and noticed something out of the corner of my eye as I walked past this round table...must of been at least 10-20 roaches walking along the sidewalk, on the exterior walls, and even around the entrance door frame. We had a pizza with some pepperoni and literally each pepperoni was shaped like little cups filled with grease inside...can you picture it?! Well, that was scary as is....i mean, it not only is greasy on the bottom of the pizza, but on the top as well. I do enjoy their pizza, but feel incredibly guilty afterwards. It's not a gourmet pizza like McHart's....which is thick, and has the best flavored crust and sauce ever....also, they certainly don't skimp on the toppings. But my boyfriend and I had gone to a sharks game the night before and since they won and shot 4 goals, we got free personal pizzas with our tickets!!! So we went in, and I was pleasantly surprised. It was really dark...and kinda...creepy/odd inside, but it was also randomly on a Friday afternoon. I'm sure it's bright and fun when its the weekend and there are sports teams there with their parents. We got our free pizzas and shared the salad bar, and all of it was pretty good! The salad bar was a regular pizza joint salad bar, but it was good enough. And the pizza was pretty damned good. There's a HUGE difference getting a pizza delivered (which is the only pizza i've had in the last few years) and having one fresh out of the oven. I have been several times, and this is probably the best of the local Roubd Tables. I typically order a 3-topping small pizza and I have no issues with the pizzas or service, whether it's delivery or not. I usually am pleased in this area. I will have to say their salad bar, as with all the Round Tables I've been to over the years, is severely lacking. They focus on iceberg lettuce, which lacks flavor and nutritional value. Spinach and romaine are nowhere to be found; these basics are standard elsewhere, iceberg lettuce is the cheapest, right? There's the reason for it, but salads are supposrd to be green. The broccoli looks frozen and emaciated, and the dressings are way too oily and heavy. Generally, this lack of attention and cutting corners is hurting this chain, and better salad bars would not hurt at all. read more

But a couple things need to change. Tables should be cleared faster after customers are done. It's a big location but limited seating due to dirty plates on tables. The man who is always there I am assuming is the owner. No disrespect to you. Just some constructive criticism. When you're helping a customer, it's better to not act like you just got back from a two mile run. And when you give customers their change, hand it to them. When they hold their hand out, don't throw dollar bills next to them. The worst that could happen is you spend a few seconds washing your hands because you touched a strangers hand. All 12 of us were seated in a semi-private alcove with one long table...just right. The bathrooms were fresh and clean. The ambiance was OK. Not too noisy. (Several flatscreen TVs with sports on).
