Located in San Jose by the border of Santa Clara, parking is plentiful but availability is limited. There was also a line but it moves pretty quickly. They had a good selection of various goods from onigiris/musubis to pastries and drinks. I highly recommend the onigiris and musubis. So delicious and they have many flavors to choose from. Tap to pay is accepted. Overall, Clover bakery has some delicious goods. Food is fresh and service is good.

It's very hard to find a Japanese bakery in the U.S. so we were super excited when we saw this place. This is a small cute bakery that pretty much have everything that you would expect - from savory to sweet. They have some very interested items such as spaghetti bun. Certain items are expected to be sold out by the end of the day so I recommend to check them out by mid-day. They offer sales toward the end of day so that they will have fresh items every day.

I came by Clover Bakery around 11am on a Tuesday and there were about 5 other people perusing the goods. It's adorable inside, warm, and well stocked with almost all of the options. I took a look through the many different sweet and savory offerings, I grabbed a sweet potato danish since it was unique and not something I'd seen elsewhere. The danish was wrapped in cling wrap and packaged inside another sleeve, and was not too sweet, perfectly fluffy and filling as a quick late breakfast option. It was also reasonably priced at only $3.50, and it seems most options were under $5! It's been a while since I've stopped by Clover Bakery, but this visit really reminded me why it's a neighborhood staple for so many years, and I'll definitely consider coming by for some curry pan and other goodies in the near future.

Very busy local Japanese style bakery. The line moved relatively quickly though. Its a cute little spot next to some other good food stops as well as Mitsuwa Market. The onigiri are delicious but some of them arent available all day so check to see when yours will be ready. I definitely reccomend the egg salad sando if you're into those fluffy japanese bread sandwiches!

After many many many many many years, I finally tried their spaghetti bread! I don't why I hesitated all these years.....maybe the thought of having carbs on carbs but it's not like I've never done that before. As a kid, I would make a pancit sandwich with wonder bread and I know my fellow Filipinos have done that! The spaghetti is sweet and I enjoyed the addition of hot dogs and Parmesan cheese. I'd recommend trying it at least once in your life. Also didn't know they had musubis and onigiris which you order at the register. Will definitely try when we return.

===TL;DR=== - Strawberry cake ===TMI=== Nothing beats simple and delicious. Their strawberry cake is just that. Ripe and sweet strawberry's all around along with fluffy and airy cake layers. Their whipped cream is a thick layer but the flavor is light. Highly recommend this delicacy!

I happen to see this bakery after lunch when I was walking around the Strawberry Park shopping center. I went in to check it out. It's a Japanese style bakery with sweet and savory pastries, sandwiches and onigiri. They had two long shelves of baked goods. Everything was displayed nicely. All the baked goods looked amazing. They also sell drinks and spam musubi. I grabbed a tray and tongs and picked some pastries to try tonight at home. I got a mini apple pastry, sweet potato butter bread, custard cream cornet, a custard creme danish and a blackberry danish. Everything looked so good. There are tables or chairs inside. This is a grab and go cafe and it's very convenient if you need a quick bite and are on the go. I got in line to pay. I quickly made it to the register and paid. The employees were so friendly and polite. I'm so glad I stopped by here today. Update: We tried these last night (2/12/26) and they were all amazing. Not overly sweet either. Loved it!

They had a really good selection and i really wanted to try everything but had to practice some self-control! They sell out of some of their popular things so I didn't get to try some of the stuff. I definitely want to try their onigiri next time. I got the ham and cheese sandwich(?), and it was okay! This is just personal reference, but it was a lot of bread vs the filling and the ham and cheese katsu thing was a bit overseasoned. But if i'm in the area again, i'll definitely visit again.

I've been a regular at Clover Bakery for many years and it's my favorite Japanese bakery. Their bread is always fluffy and soft, and the variety of offerings keeps me coming back. My favorite is their mentai masago pan, yakisoba pan, and their katsu burgers. They sometimes sell out of different breads throughout the day and replenish them. They also sell onigiri's and drinks. I've also ordered a full cake to celebrate a birthday before. I've tried most of their items and have enjoyed everything! Servers are always nice and friendly. The shop is kind of small and there's frequently a line on the weekends. Parking lot can get quite full since it's the same plaza as Mitsuwa, Daiso, and many other restaurants.

Clover Bakery is a cute Japanese bakery with plenty of options. The plaza itself is busy on weekends. Parking may be difficult to find. The bakery has a lot of foot traffic. Multiple items were sold out in the afternoon but staff were working to restock some items. Onigiri is reasonably priced and cheaper in comparison to other markets. Staff was helpful and quick despite the line growing overtime. Will be returning for the delicious onigiri and amazing price for value.

My favorite lunch place... I recommend all rice balls. My favorite sandwich is hot dog & meat ball..

Old school Japanese spot that offers really authentic pastries, and musubi's and onigiri that you would enjoy as a snack. They also have egg sandwich sandwiches and spicy tuna sandwiches like the other yelpers say it was a bit on the smaller side than what I expected, and the spicy tuna was actually really spicy. I loved my red bean pastry and for the Price in the area. This is actually pretty good. I would say overall worth the visit to grab some quick pastries bites to eat and also I saw that they offered drink drinks. I didn't get any this time but maybe next time I'll try that. The service was quick and usually there was a steady stream of customers coming in and out so the line was about medium so expect a wait about maybe 5-10minutes.

Their bread isn't the fine fusion Japanese French bakery you'd think of (due to the danishes, croissants, etc) but instead purely Japanese and its goals of milk bread galore. For example, their croissant is literal milk bread...not flaky layers of buttery deliciousness. Their Japanese milk bread is weak and not chewy either (but when attached to stuffing, the bread goes well). However their musubis, onigiris, and sandos are although pricey, fabulous. The assortment and well mix of flavors should be enough to get you through their doors. Originally, I was against purchasing their sandos (because c'mon now... simple ingredients and the hefty price tag?) until I saw a group in front of me purchasing literally 6 strawberry sandos (they are tiny!!! With crusts cut off, filled with strawberry cream and fresh sliced strawberries and sliced diagonally, it's $2.50! Now I'm a firm believer and purchase at least one every single time I'm here. In the past, this place used to be a madhouse due to TikTok... these days, on the weekends, there's sparsely a line out the door. During the weekdays, you almost never hit a line. Their cakes are frugally simple. Their fried sustenances are strangely not chewy. They have the same staff year around..... have to try this place at least once!

    Do they do catering?

We can reserve bread or riceballs for pick up depending on the quantity and day/time of pick up but we do not do delivery or specially plattered items.

Is there somewhere you have complete menu? Do you still make loaf breads like square type with flavor swirl?

Hello. You can email us at clover@cloverbakery.com and we can send you a menu of our offerings. I don’t believe we have ever carried different flavor of swirled bread. Thank you very much!

They never said they were out of the pulled pork. The side salad was nice, but lacked dressing. I saw the cake roll come out fresh as I was ordering my sandwich, so I added that to my order too. Well, the cake roll was not fresh, it must have come out of a very cold refrigerator, or it might have even been a freezer! I drove back to my office and ate my sandwich with the cake roll sitting in the open, 20 minutes later, when I went to eat the roll cake, the strawberry and chocolate mousse filling was still frozen and crystallized when you went to eat it. It was not ready at all to be served. What a shame, because it's not like it was inexpensive. There is some quality there, but still lacking consistency.

Super cute and cozy place to play board games, read manga, and hang out in general!…read more Great variety of board games, manga, snacks and drinks! This place also hosts a lot of community events like Bey Blade nights or DJ lessons weekly to monthly. Snackwise, my partner and I got the Sinigang flavored tater tots, dino nuggets and popcorn chicken! The popcorn chicken was a bit dry but the tater tots and dino nuggets were crisped to perfection. The sinigang flavor is what really stood out because it's so rare to find this flavor casually. The sourness was perfection. As for the hojicha latte, the temperature was just right and the flavor is nice and strong. Definitely satisfies any hojicha craving. Love how there's a hallway that displays and sells local small artist's merchandise and how community focused this place is. 100% come here to yap, play their board games and enjoy their snacks/drinks AND attend one of their game/workshop nights. It's such a gem to find a place that has this level of coziness. 10/10 would come again.

The food and drink selection look good and I appreciate the Kpop music. However, I did not like my matcha latte. It was not because of the latte itself but because it was served in this unusual cup that felt like styrofoam. The feel of drinking from such a cup ruined the whole experience. I would much prefer an actual ceramic mug and if not, the standard paper cups that most nice cafes use.
