This is the worst Round Table out there. For delivery, there's a 1/50 chance your order will be correct. This last time, I ordered a Sierra Mist and was given a Mtn Dew. I'm pregnant and asked for non caffeinated on purpose. Asked for Ranch and got Marinara Sauce. The cinnamon twists were extra burnt. Their customer service is non existent. You'll never be able to speak with a manager. They run out of pizza during the lunch hour notoriously. They're rude and treat you like an inconvenience when you walk in. If I could give a zero star I definitely would! Place is filthy, my husband had to ask for a rag and actually had to clean out table and cHairs, bathrooms are gross and stinky, nobody helped out, employees were crappy!! After we cleaned and sat down they told us you can't eat here because they had reservations for a bigger party, service is horrible I would not recommend this place at all!! This round table is the best of the locations close to me, but not very good. I generally find roundtable to be over priced and underwhelming, dinner for two is easily $40 and there are much better pizza places for the same price around here. The staff is friendly most of the time, but the place leaves a lot to be desired. The hubby and I went in for the lunch buffet for the first time today, and it was worse than I expected, we went in about 12:30, so expected there to be fresh food still, not the case. There were about 4 slices of dry, old looking combination pizza that sat there the entire time we were there, the staff kept looking at it like "were not putting more out until you guys eat that!" The customers kept looking at it like "there's no way in hell were touching that nasty, dried up looking pizza!". The only thing that was stocked well were cinnamon twists, which i didn't even know existed until today. They brought them out by the tray full, about 3 times while we were there. We usually come here for a chicken garlic gourmet pizza, which is generally good and salad bars, which are always depressing, so I have no idea why I continue ordering them, and today's visit was no exception. There was about a scoop of lettuce left in a huge bowl that was wilted, dark brown and a few pieces were slimy, we waited about 20 minutes seeing if an employee was going to restock it before just going up and asking for some lettuce, which was then dumped on top of the brown, slimy stuff. The rest of the salad toppings looked somewhat fresh. My one HUGE salad bar peeve with this location is the salad dressing is always SO thick, were talking bordering cream cheese thickness. It tastes like crap, is impossible to even get out of the scoop let alone mix evenly on your salad. Even the Italian dressing is incredibly thick, I don't know if the teenagers that work here can't read directions, or if the management actually purposely uses that recipe, but for the love of god water that stuff down a little bit! At least so I can pour it on my salad. The restaurant itself was filthy today, there for 3 other full tables when we were there, and only one clean one. The rest sat with dirty dishes on them while the employees joked around behind the register. They were out of forks and straws, there were a few dirty napkins crumpled up randomly on the floor, I thought it was bad until I went into the bathroom and to my horror saw an empty tampon applicator on the floor by the bathroom door, the trash was overflowing, there was a roll of paper towels thrown on the counter instead of loaded in the dispenser and they were out of soap... I have had some disappointing experiences here before, but today took the cake, I wont be going back to this location. read more

After handing the guy at the counter a dollar in quarters, then counting out more change to give him, I paid the remainder In bills. But then the guy said, "you owe me a dollar." Our company is so cheap that they will only buy us Costco pizza. So, when management refused to buy lunch for our company meeting, we chipped in to get our own good pizza. I ordered three large pizzas at 10:30am to be picked up at 12:30pm. 1. cheese - standard and decent 2. pepperoni - a little overdone 3. chicken and garlic - my fav, but also almost double the price They were ready and waiting when I went to get pick them up. Since it was our honeymoon and all, the wife and I decided to order in. We were craving some pizza and decide to try out Round Table Pizza since they were the closest restaurant that was able to deliver. We did not order too much, just a two regular pizzas (one with Polynesian sauce for us to try) w/garlic bread and wings. The food was okay and the customer service was bad. When my wife called the restaurant to place the order, it was such a hassle. They asked the name for the order and she told them mine. But in doing that, the phone rep had a problem pronouncing my name. She was trying to help him out with saying it correcting but he then decided to tell her how to say my name! RUDE! Ordered delivery last night and my pizza was missing ingredients. When I called today, the manager asked me "how I knew" the items were missing. Now, I'm no pizza aficionado, but this pie was clearly an impostor trying to pass itself off as the real thing. Kudos to the nice delivery guy last night, but I can give no pass to the pizza "artisans". First off, basil is green, and there was zero green on my pizza. Next, fresh mozzarella melts differently than other cheeses and the guy tried to tell me it was "underneath the other cheese". Um...no. Then he asked me if I ordered "only fresh" mozzarella so it wouldn't mix with the other cheese because they put it under the other toppings. You mean like the cheap cheese you tried to pass off as fresh? Yes, I know how sneaky that mozzarella is, always hiding and what not. I told him I didn't think I had to get that specific in ordering, but I asked for 3 toppings, and out of the 3 I only got 1 - cold tomatoes. How bummed were those chilly little tomatoes knowing their friends basil and Fresh "Motz" Mozzarella were left behind? He gave me a 20% off coupon but that's not really helping since he questioned my mad pizza ordering skills. He didn't apologize at all. He just interrogated me, told me I failed as a pizza ordering customer, and then gave me 20% off a future "roll of the dice" pie. Round Table 'was' my favorite pizza spot in Scotts Valley. But it 'is' NOT anymore because my order was messed up 3 times in 3...weeks. Last night's order had made me decide that I am not going back to this location for a while, until they work their problems out. Here is the reason, or I should say reasons with the 's', why I was so pissed off. About 3 weeks ago, my boyfriend ordered a large pizza and boneless wings for delivery. The guy who took the order said it would take 1 hour to deliver. We were happy to wait. 1 hour and then after 1 hour 30 minutes the delivery still didn't show up. We called and asked where our pizza was and a lady answered the phone and said that the orders were just leaving the store. Ok, we patiently waited for another 20 minutes and wondered what took that delivery guy so freaking long. Our house is less than 5 minutes from the store by the way. We were hungry and angry and we called the store AGAIN. 15 minutes later, the pizza showed up and it was STONE COLD, and so were the boneless wings. We were beyond disappointed and my boyfriend called the manager immediately to complain. The manager apologized and didn't charge our orders that day. Thanks, even though we didn't look for getting free meals from anybody. And we thought to ourselves, it was just a bad day. We would give them another chance. About 2 weeks ago, we called in to place the same orders. But we learned our lesson so we decided to have our orders picked it up, not delivered, because it took half the wait time to pick up than to deliver. When we picked up and got it home. The pizza was good, but the boneless wings were dried out and didn't look like they had any buffalo sauce on them. Not very happy, but we let it go and decided to give this place a third chance. It looks like this place knows what we usually order and knows who we are and wants to disappoint us in any possible ways. Because last night's orders were a total disappointment and the food was DISGUSTING. Yes, I mean it, disgusting. I picked up the orders and I was totally angry when I opened the boxes. Take a look at the receipt and see for yourself what we ordered. And then take a look at the pictures and see for yourself what we received. The boneless wings were BURNED and had no sauce at all!!! WHAT WERE YOU GUYS THINKING? The pizza was even WORST than the wings. It was supposed to be thin crust but the pizza was a complete DEEP DISH pizza and the crust was 2-inch thick. We had a hard time chewing your 'pan crust' pizza because it was too freaking thick!!! Again, WHAT WERE YOU GUYS THINKING? This location is clean and has good service. I would characterize the pizza as above-average as far as round table goes. We were in town for a soccer tournament, and they were able to accommodate a large group on short notice. The employees were friendly and helpful. Recommended! read more

It's Round Table: chain pizza; you know what to expect and how it's going to taste. These guys make a Round Table pizza by the book. I'm only giving two stars because of the shenanigans they play with their lunch buffet. At 11:30, they have a guy with a sign out dancing on the road, trying to entice people to try the lunch buffet. But three times I've gone in for the buffet (twice at 11:45, once at 11:50) to find no pizza available. Nothing. A stack of pre-made pies are waiting in the kitchen, but nothing has been put in the oven. A buffet is not a buffet if there is no food. And this Round Table plays games by waiting as long as possible before cooking buffet pizza. The one time I stayed, there was a group of customers waiting and the first pies were quickly devoured. The other two times, knowing their game, I simply left. With several quality pizzerias in the area, we really don't need a mediocre chain shop that features a "look ma, no food!" buffet. read more

This was a last minute thing. My grandsons first birthday party was going to be held at a park and we saw at the beginning of the week it was supposed to rain. I called around for something indoors and had no luck. Then I remembered I had my sons parties at Round Table ages ago. I called up and reserved tables for the day of. I called and ordered pizzas. They had balloons and our area was ready before we arrived. They put the cake in a safe area for us and we had a tab for everyone. The pizzas were delicious. When one kid spilled his drink we got a rag to mop it up and we noticed how clean the floors were. They came over a few times to ask if things were OK. The staff was efficient, polite and professional. Needless to say I was impressed. The manager here had no doubt done a great job. Thank you for making this a successful first birthday. I recently visited this restaurant on a weekday at approximately 1:40 PM. There was a very small selection of pizza and when I asked at 1:50 if there was any more coming they said" no,the lunch hour is almost over." This is not a good place to visit for "all you can eat pizza" if you cannot be there until the last 30 minutes of lunch time. TRULY love the buffet/ salad bar is beyond a great deal BUT only go once a week as i'm diabetic and dominos gluten free pizza is such a gouge they wanted to give me a freebie after i slammed them on yelp but better off here at Round Table. BTW I was a dominos pizza tester for 4 years in sunnyvale so NOW I never eat pepperoni as they only paid for 1 a week with one topping but hey it was free LOL. read more

This eatery is a great place, from kind workers to great food. I usually get the chicken wings, but the pizza is great too. I only have roundtable 4 stars because if how pricey it is, but I think it is worth it. The actual place itself is very neat and clean. Third time is NOT a charm sad to say. My husband picked up the pizza's. They were incorrect again. Very bad customer service as well. I called To talk to them about the error. The manager put me on hold three times telling me he let me talk to the person who took the order. Which he did not. We wanted pesto based on one side with artichoke hearts and the other side a Hawaiian. They put pesto base on the whole thing. The manager just wanted to make sure that I knew that his person did not take the order incorrectly. Got there at 11:45 today for the buffet. Let me preface this by saying- I know this is a chain so my expectations shouldn't be that high, BUT there are certain expectations. First, a question. Why was the place empty but had two tables that looked like a toddler party had rolled through and one old pizza sitting on the buffet?? I assume staff eats before the buffet opens (?) but if they eat like two yr olds with no arms, imagine the state of the kitchen or their hygiene?!? One reasonable expectation- if you do plan on making a vegetarian pizza and telling customers that a veggie pizza will be right out, Canadian bacon should not be included. Hi stopped in a few weeks ago to order a pizza to go. Asked for red sauce instead of garlic on my chicken garlic supreme. Once I we were home I noticed no sauce on the chicken side, no red or garlic, to hungry to go back. A friend of mine told me she always has to check for accuracy. Shouldn't have to check. Not to mention it was cold when we returned home. We're only 5 minutes away. This a second try after our horrible experience last August. We came in on our anniversary, as my husband knows I love pizza. Very quiet day. Ordered a medium pizza and 2 salads. Anyway just starting our salads and an employee comes out of the back, with a mask on and starts cleaning the tables with pine Sol or hexall, anyway smelt like a nursing home. Made my husband sick. Went to ask for our pizza to go and explained to the cashier the problem. No offer for refund, even though she noticed we hadn't finished our salads, or drinks. She finally gave a refund on the salads No offer on the pizza or drinks, I had to ask on the drinks. Wrote a review on the rt website, received a call promptly from I believe the owner. Told me it wasn't policy. No offers of any thing to make it right. Keep in mind this was a special day, that turned out not so special. Then a few months later one of our tenants went in a noticed the same smell, not great for enjoying a meal. Not to mention your prices are high, and pizzas are way smaller. We come here with our small kids all the time and the customer service can't be beat!! The food is great and the staff is super friendly. Never again!!!! We live past Santa Cruz off the 1 and drive over 30 min to indulge in Round table pizza. They mess up repeated and never get things right. Tonight, I had free pizzas due to them charging me for large pizzas and giving me smaller ones that didn't even feed my family the last time. Tonight I place my order with the manager, he still proceeds to mess it up even though I jokingly say that it better go right. He says he will make sure it does. My husband arrived to pick them up they were wrong, he then has to wait a half hour to make new ones that are still wrong. I take time to reflect on my experiences over time in order to prevent writing in frustration or without considering the perspective of employees of the service industry. The TL;DR version goes like this: Over the last month or 2 I've ordered the same pizza 5 times. They have gotten the order wrong 4 times, but when confronted they try to make it right. 3 stars is fair because the food is good and the staff is cooperative when they error. But I don't understand what's so difficult about putting the correct toppings on a pizza when the toppings appear on the receipt and presumably get communicated to the staff. Full Version (if anyone is interested): I order a specialty pizza - The Italian Garlic Supreme - and I tend to get it delivered because I'm originally from a small town that didn't have any restaurants with delivery services, so having food brought to my door is still a novelty. The pizza usually arrives without the green onions, a topping that is included standard with this pizza. The first time this happened I let it go. I figured, "meh, probably training someone, whatever". The second time I order it - a week later - Same issue. I called them up to let them know this happened twice now and they offered me a discount on the pie. Cool. Third time...same issue except while ordering I ask if they have the green onions and get verbal confirmation that they'll make it on the pie. When the pizza arrived without them I called again and they offered to send the driver back out with the onions in a plastic cup. I thought that was kind, but it was already 9pm, I hadn't eaten since breakfast, I had to work the next day, and I didn't want to wait up and let my pizza get cold, so I declined and was offered a free pizza next time I ordered. I accepted. Fast forward: I try to redeem my free pizza and its a different manager who is suspicious and doesn't understand why that would happen, and treats me like I'm trying to pull something because the previous manager didn't leave a note like she said she would, but they give me the free pizza and it's perfect! Yum! Most recently: I think I have it figured out. I ask for EXTRA Green Onions. That's right! if they don't put their standard topping on their own pizza I'll draw their attention to it! Didn't work. Pizza arrived tonight without green onions. I'm starting to feel like they're screwing with me. I call back and admittedly was a bit rude - They asked me if I could hold and I was like "No!" - and was offered a free pizza next time, but after my last experienced I declined and they gave me this one free. I'm not trying to be unreasonable, but I know what I want. And according to their MENU I should be able to have it. Further, when you're spending $30 on a pizza you want to get what you want. Overall, the food is good and the people are friendly, but getting what you order is not easy. And if you can, pick up is better. When you order delivery they say 45 minutes to an hour, but in my experience its usually a little over an hour and the pizza is sometimes luke-warm. read more

Ordered an EXTRA LARGE combo for my family and upon receiving I noticed that the toppings looked like they were meant for a medium pizza. There was a couple of inches of pizza that was just crust and cheese. I don't like when I spend more money on a larger pizza just to get the same amount of toppings as a cheaper size. I will not be back, from the time I got there to the time I left a horrible experience. I showed up at 1pm the Lunch Special Sign being waived outside. There were two dried out pizzas (both combos) sitting under the warmer we asked if they were cooking more and they said yes so we decided to stay. They almost would not accept a Gift Certificate because it was torn and gave me the 3rd degree about it. We picked up our will ted salads and waited for the pizza they said they were bringing. After 20 minutes and needing to get back to work we inquired about it and they said that it was too late to make another one. We ate some of the dried out combo and got up to leave. These guys almost screwed up my son's birthday party. I ordered three pizza's at 6pm with a one hour wait. Weighed the options and decided that was okay. called after 90 minutes and was told that we were next on the delivery route. 30 minutes later, three cold pizzas show up and I was still expected to sign for my $85 order with no discount offered! I would have declined expect for the fact that I had a house full of hungry and grumpy 8 year old party goers jumping up and down ready to eat the boxes they had waited so long.
