I have been going to this establishment with two of my childhood friends for many years after our bi-weekly "Monday Girls Night Out At The Casino". We always go at about 3am and order breakfast and were always made to feel at home and very welcome. The crepes and quality of syrup are very good. We liked the manager because he always called us 'young ladies' and made a special trip to come to our table and say hello. We did notice a lot of change in waitresses but over the past two years this had changed and we grew to know a blond girl named Jen..(I believe it was short for Jeanette). The manager and her were very funny together and he used to razz her all in good fun and we really enjoyed them. A couple months ago we didn't see that young man anymore and asked the manager on staff where he was. He gave us a very aloof answer saying that he was taking over now as the new midnight manager and seemed annoyed we asked. His command of the English language was deplorable!! Jeanette heard this and came over and kindly explained that the previous manager had moved to dinner shift so he could get married and start a family. While she was speaking with us he called her over and scolded her saying she needed to check her other tables. She had just come from checking her tables before coming to speak with us. She stopped at the other two tables in there and then returned to us, talking to my friend about her knee surgery. Again, this manager called her over and scolded her to go do something else. We heard her say, "But the whole place is wiped already, these are my regulars". He told her to be quiet and that he was the manager and threatened to send her home. We were very offended. We stopped going for about two months and returned just last week. To our surprise, no Jeanette. We asked where she was and he said, "She not here no more. New waitress take good care of you." we expressed disappointment and said how we liked her and he clearly got angry and walked away from us. The new waitress did not do as good of a job. Jen always refilled our coffee without being asked and had a big pretty smile. This new girl complained how tired she was and how she couldn't wait to go home. When leaving we told the manager we didn't like the change in staff and he just shrugged his shoulders and made his eyes big. It was SAD to see the disregard he had for such a delightful woman who really brought a happy atmosphere to that place. We can eat pancakes somewhere else! We will be going to another restaurant from now on. read more

Our once loved round the clock has taken a turn for the worse. Monday dinnertime not very crowded we were seated in the north side of the restaurant. After the hostess sat us we did the obligatory, look at the menu and wait for the waitress routine. 20 minutes later we sat and sat. Finally we flagged down a busboy and asked about our waitress. The busboy turned and said I don't know and walked away. Finally we flagged down a server and she sent our waitress to our table. This is 32 minutes after being seated. The waitress said she SPACED OUT, But she's better now and is going to give us great service. We ordered our food and then the waitress started a side show of joking with us. Reading a 2 year old and a 7 year old. The atmosphere at our table was an uncomfortable circus. Finally our food arrived, we have never been disappointed before until that day. Pork chop over cooked albiet topped with a tasty gravey. Sauteed chicken breast looked boiled then browned on a grill. Chicken tenders dry and hard. My wife never complains but when her cottage cheese is hotter than her chicken she had to open up. The once great pies were a shadow of the past, imitation whipped cream all sugar no flavor. 23 hours ago Where do I start. When we get here it takes them 16 min. before even coming to our table. The wait for our food was 1:07min. they had enough waiters and pretty empty. We ordered Chipotle Burger and our burgers were burnt to where we couldn't even taste the chipotle. This is our 5th time here and our last. Sorry to say but they need to see how these people are working here. The ham was thin, with burned areas and not off the bone as I like it, but oh well. The coffee was bitter, I probably could have scrubbed and cleaned a frying pan with it. I was hungry, the price was right and I was satisfied. The service was good. My server was painfully pierced and tattooed and if the wind got a hold of her, she's look like a sheet of wallpaper flying down the street. There is no accounting for good taste in presentation these days. Johnel's wasn't bad but sure wasn't the best! All depends on how hungry or picky you are. Bon Appetite!
