As someone who spent over 30 years in the HVAC & Plbg business, as well as a contractor liaison with the CSLB, I have several businesses that I use myself and refer my family & friends. I'm also committed to working with businesses that train their employees, and are licensed and insured However as a home warranty customer I'm limited to the company that they use. I was reassured by the reviews I searched when I learned Round Tuit would be our repair contractor. Those reviews are well earned. I didn't expect same day service in the summer time and was pleasantly surprised to have a technician assigned within 24 hours. The entire process from start to finish was amazing. My first contact was with Kathryn from their office, and she was a delight. Positive, friendly and reassuring, they have exactly the right person on the phones. We had a great conversation, and it set the tone for the rest of the experience. I immediately received text confirmation about my appointment, and then another the following day with the technicians picture attached so I'd know who to look for. This was such a nice touch. Jesus arrived within the promised window and he put on booties to protect our floor prior to entering - this is a very professional touch. He asked me what was wrong, set right to work, asked for what he needed and took care of the repair quickly and professionally. We had a lovely brief chat before he left, another nice touch for an old retired woman. I would also like to commend the owner of Round Tuit. This person obviously cares about the customer service experience for their customers, and has hired the right people for the job. In this world, I know it's difficult to find people who want to work, especially in HVAC and especially in the summer. I am extremely disappointed with this company. I initially used them because they were referred by my home warranty company, so I trusted that they would properly diagnose and resolve the issue. Unfortunately, they misdiagnosed the problem the first time, and the second time has been just as frustrating. It has taken an unreasonable amount of time for them to respond to my inquiries. I specifically requested to speak with a manager, and I have yet to receive a response. I have also been calling for an entire week trying to speak with the owner, but he has still not returned my call. I was told by Katherine that "he runs a business and is busy," which I find completely unacceptable given the circumstances. What is most frustrating is that they are refusing to refund me for a service I paid for when the issue they diagnosed was not even the actual problem. I paid for a professional diagnosis and did not receive one. At this point, I am extremely disappointed with the lack of communication, accountability, and customer service. I would not recommend this company based on my experience. If I could give zero stars I would. Update: The owner called me back and sent me an email and made things right and I received a refund. I wish I could give a better review because this company seems to get quite a few for their service. Unfortunately, that was not the case for us. We went thru our home warranty, and they referred us to Round Tuit. The technician that came said our capacitor needed to be replaced. He thought he had AC repaired, and left. After waiting 30 minutes, AC was still not operating. Called Round Tuit, but their office had already closed. I called the following morning, advised AC still was still not working. Technician came out again. He determined AC Compressor needed to be replaced. He said receptionist would submit report to home warranty. It took over a week and multiple calls to our home warranty to see if coverage was being afforded. We were told they were waiting for additional information from Round Tuit to make that determination. After escalating the issue, we were told that coverage was afforded. I spoke w/ receptionist at Round Tuit. She made appointment for that same day and that a technician would go over the next steps with us. She advised Randy would call us later that afternoon between 5pm and 6pm. We never received a call. I called Round Tuit the next morning and advised we were never called. Receptionist asked if I was available now, and that she would have Randy call me right back. She confirmed my phone number for call back. 40 minutes later, I received a message from my wife that Randy had texted and was on his way over. I called Round Tuit and spoke to the receptionist. I told her I've been waiting for Randy's call since we last spoke, and my wife received a text that he is on his way over. She said it is suppose to be a phone call; he is not on his way over. She said Randy had tried calling but no one answered. I advised I had my phone with me the entire time since I last spoke w/ her. She apologized for the confusion and said he tried calling my wife, even though I had asked to be the one called. She assured he will be call me right back. I confirmed with my wife that she never received a call. And if he had called her, why did he not leave a message? I texted Round Tuit later that morning as Randy had not yet called. No response from them. I followed up and hour later with an email inquiring when could we expect a call from Randy. Never received a response to my text or email. Nor did we ever receive a call from Randy. It's been over a week. Advised my home warranty several days later that we no longer wished to work with Round Tuit. I understand things get busy, especially during the summer and people's ACs are going out, but this was just poor service on their part. Again, I wish I could have left a better review. read more

Living in Sacramento for a majority of my life, I have become accustomed to the city's grueling summers. However, climate change has seemed to add an extra layer to the heat...humidity! Although the overall temperatures haven't been too crazy thus far (fingers crossed this remains true for the remainder of the summer), humidity and high UV indexes have been prevalent. Therefore, my wife and I knew that we had to contact our home warranty ASAP when we realized that our air conditioning unit was not functioning properly. When I say not functioning properly, I'm specifically referring to a slow flow of mildly cold air blowing through our vents. After sharing this with our home warranty, they informed us that Round Tuit Heating and Air would be the business fulfilling our needs. The morning of our appointment a friendly employee by the name of Nick arrived at our doorstep. Nick inquired about the issues that we were encountering and quickly went to work! Roughly 30 minutes later, Nick had completed the required repair and informed us that the slow flow of almost warm air was due to a freon leak. To remedy the issue, he used a sealant to address the leak. Since the repair, we have noticed that the air blowing from the vents is more intense and much colder. So cold that my 12 year old needed to cover himself with a throw while watching TV. We are definitely looking forward to better sleep, an overall cooler home, and a lower electric bill. Our AC has been out since Wednesday, at the start of a heatwave. We have homeowners insurance and the had scheduled someone else to come out. I left several messages but the company never responded. my home warranty company went through them. called because air would not come out of vents but system would turn on. some drunk guy came in turned it on and said it was fixed. woild not look at air coming out of vents. said another guy had to look at that. other guy called and said mobile homes do not have ducts. tried to replace my ducts with fabric tubes. did not look at my house this was over the phone. contacted 3 hvac since them all 3 confirm my house has ducts. UNTRUSTWORTHY COMPANY!!! Our air conditioning went out on the same day our son was born. We told the company our situation and they sent someone out 3 days later on a Saturday. The technician said there was an electrical problem (not a huge cost to fix) and that he would be putting in an order for the part on Monday. The company sent out a sale rep for on Monday instead. Before even looking at our unit the sales rep said it was our compressor that wasn't working, not an electrical issue like the previous tech said. Our home warranty covers the cost but we would have to pay $250 for permit and $1075 for title 24. (Title 24 only cost $400 from the state.) He then tried to sell us a 30-40 thousand dollars new unit. He implied that if we get the compressor fixed it would take a month for someone to fix it. We would have to wait til mid August with no air conditioning and a newborn baby, but if we wanted the expensive new unit it would be fixed next week. We knew that he lied about it being the compressor and when we told our home warranty that we wanted to stop using the company, the warranty said that they had already submitted to get the parts and asked for the reimbursement. We knew it was just an electrical issue, as the first technician pointed out. When questioned, the sales rep repeatedly reminded us that he knew more than us since he had been in the industry for 40 years. I opened the panel and found out that they put in the wrong capacitor and wired it incorrectly. I went to the store, spent 35 dollars on the correct capacitor and 45 mins later the ELECTRICAL issue was fixed and the air conditioning was working. This proved that the company is UNTRUSTWORTHY and tried to scam us, our home warranty, and overpay for title 24. read more

After having our furnace replaced, which included removing and putting back freon in the A/C condenser, our A/C wasn't working. My home warranty assigned Round Tuit HVAC to come out. I was called within 5 minutes of calling my home warranty company. They had a technician, Mike Pacheco, come out in only a few hours. He was quickly able to recharge the condenser unit with Freon and a leak prevention. Thanks also to Nick, Mike's boss who told him to fix it for us even though there was an issue with the HVAC company that caused this problem. I'd recommend Round Tuit! Thanks guys! read more

f I could give this company 0 stars, I would. Unfortunately, I had to use them because of my home warranty, but from now on I will be specifically requesting a different company. They showed up at 7 PM for a 12-4 PM appointment window -- no call, no heads-up. After their second visit, I never received the invoice or documentation of the repairs. When I asked for it, it took two emails just to get a response, and that response was that they needed to come back out to "reassess" and "redocument." What?! How do you not already have that information documented from your own visit? When I replied that I wasn't taking a third half-day off work to fix their mistake, they simply never responded. Round Tuit was recommended by our home warranty people. The home warranty people have not sent decent contractors for most services so I was skeptical. Making the first appointment with the office was a pleasure, helpful/friendly office staff. Jesus was the 1st person to show up from Round Tuit. He did an awesome job diagnosing the problem of a heater that was completely "shot". Randy was the next person who came to discuss options. Discovered that the ductwork was crushed in several areas and needed to be replaced. A heater was recommended along with options to improve airflow throughout the house. An upgraded system with a fair price was quoted. Work could start within 3 days of the quote - just enough time to pull all parts of the order together. Technicians Dylan, Nicholas and Tony came to do the install. Everything went according to plan. All work was explained as it was happening. They were on time, efficient and friendly. We were told 2 days to complete the work and it was 2 days! They cleaned up everything and hauled off all the garbage. The unit (and a new thermostat) was throughly tested and found to be in perfect working order. Home is now blessedly warm. Round Tuit will check on the system twice a year for the first 2 years. I will be happy to have them back in our home. Everyone of the people we dealt with at Round Tuit was professional and friendly - a good combination! I would highly recommend this awesome company to anyone who needs their services. read more

Called my home warranty company because I had no air flow coming out of the vents in the back half of my house. The service person came out a couple days later. when they got to my house I showed them the crawl space. they said that ethe ducts were clearly disconnected and needed to be reconnected. But "it's we and muddy under there and um not crawling in the mud." So my home warranty won't send out another contractor until I "fix the mud", well it's been raining for 2 weeks so not sure how I will do that. read more

This HVAC service provider sent Jesus out when our AC did not work. He was professional, kind, friendly and provided excellent customer service. He said we needed a new fan motor and ECM. He returned to install the fan a week later. When we turned it on the motor hummed loudly and was not functioning correctly. It was not pushing enough air. We asked for a tech to come out and check. They sent Mike. Mike said it was fine. We had another company send a tech out who told us the noise was unacceptable and the motor was wired wrong as well as not pushing enough air. Don't call Round Tuit. Not worth the hassle. read more

The technician performed a minimal inspection and completely missed the AC system was surging and in the process of failing. The technician either improperly reattached the capacitor, or completely missed that it was installed incorrectly, but either way the capacitor arched and shorted out the compressor, leaving me with no AC for FOUR WEEKS during the hottest days of the summer, during a heatwave with triple digits! When they sent another technician after the entire system failed, he told me "no harm, no foul" since he was there now. Maybe it was for him, but it put my very senior animals in a medical emergency over a four-day weekend! They were so cavalier about their "missed diagnosis" and the effect it had on my household.
