I signed up for 8k rebate with Christensen. Did all the paperwork in Jan. Checked status with them several times they said everything was in the works did hear anything so went direct to the rebate center and they told me Christensen didn't do their job. Total failure and no accountability I was able to locate your project in the system, but unfortunately it's been in an "Unsubmitted" state for months now. It was entered on Jan. 29th but the contractor didn't assign a program sub-claim to the pre-approval so it was never pushed to a submittal state for review. As of April 11th, there has been no more funding for the Northern California region. I'm very sorry to be the bearer of bad news. Please let us know if you have any further questions, otherwise I would reach out to your contractor to understand where/how your project fell through the cracks. Again, sincere apologies. read more

Very unusual and took some real creative work to not only find the problem but resolve it without running new wiring. Drew - Thank you. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME. I rarely write reviews but I feel I need to warn anyone considering this company. My AC stopped cooling following a power outage that impacted most of Rocklin. Based on Yelp reviews, I reached out to Christensen. I called on Saturday and secured an appointment for Tuesday. Tuesday morning they called saying their technician was out and needed to rescheduled for the next day. Knowing a heat wave was coming, I asked if I should find another company and was assured he could come out the next day. Wednesday morning same thing. Apparently, this company only has 1 technician and no back up plan. I get things happen but be honest with your customers. Had they told me there was a chance he would be out for a couple of days, I could have started looking for someone else right away. To operate in the Sacramento region, in summer, with 1 tech and to not have back up plan is simply bad business. read more

After an initial mishap, these guys made good on their promise to fix our AC unit. They are reliable and dependable. They may have miscalculated the problem with our airconditining unit. We had to call them back that the problem was not resolved. They did come back and fixed the misdiagnosis. They will try to sell you a new unit, this is probably very common in this type of industry. Another 5 Stars for Soren and Christensen Heating & Air. This latest heat wave (107 in Shingle Springs yesterday) and a PG&E outage put my 25 year old Heat Pump system into a tail spin. So I jumped onto Yelp and started looking around for someone who could check out and/or fix my AC. The Big AC business down the hill told me they could be here in 10 days. Another Big AC business up the hill (hint: Placerville) has seven (7) one star ratings in a row over the last two years! So I called Christensen Heating & Cooling. That was yesterday...Soren was at my door today! Sure, he's a busy guy in the heat, but he squeezed me in. After a through inspection of my system he wasn't able to find any critical (expensive) issues. The bottom line is my AC system is 25 years old and doing its best to keep up with the heat wave. Soren and I discussed my options for a new system...I don't need it now, but switching to a new one in the future would have several benefits. Soren educated me has to the issues and pros/cons. No pressure. I also learned he installs all American made products (Amana for example) which is a big bonus. And his fee for looking at my system was even cheaper than the Big AC company who wanted me to wait 10 days. I found Soren to be professional, knowledgeable, and honest.
