I absolutely love this place! I came here for the first time on my birthday. As soon as they opened it was pretty quiet which was perfect for exploring and trying out a few games. They have rows of claw machines, which I love, and it's so hard not to get addicted to them. Games range from 9 to 18 points, which is 1-2.50 per game. Staff / Customer Service (3/5): we had to receive a refund on a game that wasn't working and it took a fair amount t of time waiting for a manager. Quality of prizes just went downhill. Used to be a great amount and variety of plushies and skill games. Now it seems a majority of the items stocked are bulk items you get at the dollar store. Between the prize changes and increase in prices for credits and ticket amounts for redemptions, its getting hard to keep coming back. At this point, I could save my projected yearly spend at round1 for a trip to Japan and come back with more goodies. Greatly dissapointed. read more

Listen I love the vibe here and it was so fun attempting to get plushies from the claw machines but we actually spent over $100 and that I fear was on the low end for our group. It feels like gambling!! There's an addictive feeling to trying to get the plushie too. My friend who said she would only spend $20 went back and reloaded her card a few more times... If you go, you can look pitiful around the claw machine you really want and a worker might help you out by putting the plushie in a better spot . I think you can ask them too. The kids had a blast here, the facility was very clean and laid out well. I just felt that the prices were way too high for the games.... The ROI was nonexistent. This is definitely one of those places you go for the experience rather than the value. I've never seen so many claw machines under one roof in my entire life. We did not get any food here, but we did sit in the food court area while the kids played games. It was a nice sized area with a good view of the arcade floor, which makes it easy for parents to keep an eye on their kiddos. I went to Round 1 with family and have gone back for additional game play. Round 1 is a fun place, the claw machines are a big draw for the kids. Overall it's a fun place to go, but with the prices you pay for the game cards for claw machines, you would think the receiving rate would be better. Just know you'll be lucky to walk out with one or two items. They do have an affordable option for timed game play cards without receiving prizes which is also a great opportunity. Overall, it's a place we like to go but only infrequently because it's not practical price wise. They do have other things like bowling and karaoke available. read more

Fantastic addition to the Chandler Fashion Center. My wife and I like to take our 13-year-old niece here for .99 cent ice cream cups, to play video games for tickets, air hockey, billiards, and bowling. So much fun and so much better than a vacant Sears store. I love how vacant spots at this mall do not stay vacant for long. Everyone that works here is friendly and efficient whenever we have needed assistance. Great place to go to people watch or have fun with friends and family. They even have rooms for birthday parties and we often see large groups having fun in these rooms. When bowling there is a time every hour that the person bowling has a chance to get a strike, win a prize, and get a photo of their bowling group as a memory. We are still trying to win this sometime. We just went bowling yesterday and cannot wait to return in the New Year. read more

This was my second time here with my girlfriend, her sister and friend. I want to recognize Dani for taking such great care of my girlfriend tonight! The prize we won had small pieces and needed a box and I expected Dani to just hand her the box but she didn't. She carefully held and wrapped the item pieces and packed it!! Wonderful customer service and care here. After that we went and grabbed ice cream and we were helped by Dafond (DJ) on his name tag. He was kind, and attentive. I have been in customer service for over 20 years and this type of care was top tier. Everyone here is so kind, even the security guards at the front. Kind and respectful and we feel safe going to the car because the security patrols and keeps and eye out outside too! Used to be great, but they replaced a lot of their good prizes with dollar store bags of chips and packs of dish sponges, and claw machines seem to have been changed from skill based to payout. I tried asking an employee I've interacted with before what the deal was, and every time I said something negative he tried to make a positive spin, so it seems like corporate is keeping tabs on them with this too. This place is dreamy to me. So much fun in one place! They have bowling, VR stuff, food, crane games galore!! The food here is not great, the drinks are ok, but the ice cream is actually really good (blue bell). The cost here can add up, but honestly entertainment is costly regardless of where you go. At this place the entertainment are the games, and the smiles and excitement on people's faces when they win, and everyone that was here were full of happiness and excitement!! We both belong to social organizations and we think this will be the perfect place to host some events. This place has bowling Pickleball pool tables, and endless games for both kids and adult adults! We were a little disappointed that they don't serve hot dogs. However, they do have hamburgers, chicken sandwiches, chicken tenders, Ramen noodles, and a host of other appetizers. We didn't go bowling this time, but I can't wait to go back. first off, really great selection of plushies at round 1! i am a huge miffy and mofusand lover so it was really cool to see a decent amount of selection of plushies in the crane games. we found out my boyfriend is quite good at these so we managed to collect quite the haul. the staff we interacted with were very playful and helpful! they would sometimes move the plushies around for us to help us out if we were struggling a little. only thing is there was a pretty long wait for bowling and karaoke so we opted out this time, will have to come back for that! read more

Round1 is located in the lower level of the old Sears location in the Chandler Fashion Square Mall. Opened late till 2am on weekends. Great reasonable prices for all that's available here. Wonderful attentive service whenever I'm need of assistance with any machines or have questions. Didn't try the food but had numerous Japanese cuisine items available and 99 cents ice cream. Arcade had variety of selection and fun games I've never seen tried before. Main attraction here is gotta be the claw machines... nearly half the building was dedicated to claw machines..big and small.. In my opinion a rip off..just buy whatever you want in the claw machine from online if you even really truly do want it ...save you from spending more on a plush/figurine then you could just buying it. read more

Worst experiences ever, services are extremely understaffed and lazy. Games are absolutely incorrectly calibrated and have been for months, with no sign of management doing anything since they want to get away with scamming people out of their money. This review is only for claw machines. Oh man this is the biggest round 1 I've ever been to. I live in Southern California so the ones I know are Lakewood and Santa Ana. This one is huge!! Like the size of a Target. Soo many aisles of claw games and arcade games I've never seen in a r1 before like the coin pushing games and hatchet throwing and some high tech looking racing games. No Pokemon but lots of Sanrio and some I've never seen before - Miku plushies. There's cute miku figurines too. The key is they are licensed! Service is nice and helpful resetting when they get stuck. We spent about $75 and got 3 large plushies (we did spend a bit on ticket and hatchet throwing games for fun). Ticket prize shop is well stocked. They told me they've been open for 2 months now so I can see why it's all so new looking and shiny. Worth a visit if you're a round 1 regular or new to it all and like cute plushies! Edited to add: this video is only one row. There's 5 more rows with all different plushies! read more

Went here for the first time with the family (we've gone to the one in Cali etc.) but we're excited to see it coming to Arizona. Everything inside is super clean and the machines themselves were brand new of course. They had a lot of arcade games etc but the draw of most Round 1's is the claw machine varieties and the types of plushies. All the plushies were of good quality and really adorable. I will say that the claw strengths were wildly different from machine to machine. My assumption is the operators haven't quite figured out the consistent settings based on the size of the prizes. Some claws were super easy to get plushies others were practically impossible. The local staff was super helpful in fluffing up machines that had created pockets of impossible areas to grab etc. I would say overall, definitely swing by this place if you want some wholesome fun that won't entirely blow up your wallet. read more

This place use to be the best! So fun and great and fair but for some reason it feels like everything is unfair. 1st they changed all the figure claw machine so you have to grab a plushie that won't ever grab, and they changed a lot of the figures claw machine to be something different 2nd they changed all the claws they had to be weaker grabbing, they can adjust the claws strength (and I understand you don't want it max) but it feels like nothing will grab it at all without it falling 3rd it feels like there is no one there working, I remember first week you would see so many employees.... Now I see none walking around and it's more of a drag to find someone when you win a prize that requires to get an employee, My opinion you could go in there look around but if you find something you want, buy it off of Amazon or something you will save so much more money, unless they change I wouldn't go read more

This place was fun to play some claw machine games or video games. The staff here were friendly and even gave me strategy to win some of the claw machines. We were able to win 3 prizes last time we were here because of the strategies they told us. The double tap was a thing for the Round1 claw machines so keep that in mind if you're trying to win something. There was food here but we haven't tried anything yet. We had spoken with the manager however unfortunately it didn't seem that this fact surprised him and there was not really a resolution. We visited Round1 at Chandler Mall on a Saturday night, and unfortunately the experience was pretty disappointing. First, a large amount of the machines were down. The bigger issue came when we tried to redeem prizes. The line to check out was over a 20-minute wait, and the system didn't seem to have the correct inventory listed. The employee working the counter called for a manager multiple times. When one finally came over, they casually said another employee "usually knows what to do" and then stepped away while the staff continued struggling. Meanwhile the line kept growing, and people were starting to leave their prizes behind because they couldn't wait any longer. At no point did management step in to help move things along. When I asked why a manager wasn't assisting, I was told they were very busy with other things. Ironically, when we left, the same manager was outside just hanging out. If you're planning to bring your kids here expecting them to actually redeem the tickets they win, I'd think twice. The games might be fun, but the organization and customer service definitely need improvement read more

I've been to the Arrowhead mall location and in comparison, this one is a lot smaller-- I don't mind though because my main focus is on the crane games. The place can be pricy (could easily burn through a $100+ credits in like half an hour), but it's super fun, and definitely addictive like Vegas where you can just keep wanting to play until you win. Isaac and Arvie in particular were super nice and helpful with giving out tips on how to win some of the plushies! Probably spent like $360 worth in credits between me and my date but won like 20+ plushies. I wouldn't recommend the food though; it's overpriced and while has variety, is still basic fare and so would recommend just exploring the other food options at the mall. They do sell a scoop of ice cream for like a dollar though so I always go for that! read more

Came here two Fridays ago with a group of friends for the first time and was surprised by how big the place was! They have rows and rows of claw games with big plushies to win along with smaller claw games with smaller prizes. They also have games where you can win tickets as well. You can find bowling and a pickleball court too. If you're hungry, they have food such as pizza, nachos, fries and mozerella sticks and a bar with beer, wine, seltzers and now liquor. Im not sure how much it costs for the claw games but I'm assuming it's expensive. My friend said he spent about $350. We played a round of bowling, which was cool. The food was meh. They ran out of pizza at the time. The strawberry cheesecake cone was good! We ended up coming back again the next day with a larger group for games and bowling. The plushies are cute but I have no use for them so I gave them to my friend's kids. Good spot for all ages but everything adds up and can be pricey.
