In 2025 we couldn't stop raving about this place the food was amazing the service was impeccable. This last visit this weekend was disappointing. My partner ordered the beef wellington which was excellent and I ordered the duck which was...unexpected. The black cherry confit seemed non-existent, I think I actually got the same sauce that was on the Wellington. I didn't say anything because I wasn't sure and the duck was prepared well so I just let it go. The creme brulee dessert was a disaster. The first order came out black and I told the waiter there was something wrong with it immediately. He had mentioned he was new so I'm guessing he wasn't sure what it was supposed to look like. I tried to crack into it and the top just molded with the spoon so I asked him to take it back because it was not right. I watched him show it to someone, who I was told was the owners son, and they sent another. The owners son dropped it off the table and said, this should be more to my liking and walked away. Well it was only slightly less burnt but it did crack so I tried it. Sugar was definitely burnt, you could taste it, and the custard was dripping wet instead of solid. I showed this to the other waiter who was helping and she understood immediately and took it back. She said let's just get you the lava cake instead and I said fine. It's too bad because the flavor on the custard itself was excellent and I was really looking forward to it. Needless to say I was disappointed when the dessert was not taken off the bill after all we had been through with it. I expect more when dinner for two costs almost $200.

We're former New Yorkers so being a Calamari snob is expected. This offering, which delivered a bit of Scungilli as well, was really done well. Not heavy on the bread crumbs and not at all rubbery. The accompanying sauce was very tasty. We followed up splitting a Caesar Salad that we devoured. When we ordered our entree, Linguini and White Clam sauce, we asked Erin about the portions and she read us well. She suggested that we might be overwhelmed by the size of it so we split that also. Turned out to be a great idea. We devoured that too. Done just the way I like it. So good that I ordered a glass of Italian white wine to go with it. Normally, we don't have dessert but, Erin didn't bring the dessert menu. She just looked right at us and said: "We have the best carrot cake in the entire valley"! I must say that presentation was tough to look down my nose at so we split an order of carrot cake. I think I can say it really was the most interesting and best carrot cake I have ever had. Throughout the entire meal Erin kept an eye on us and made sure there wouldn't be a reason for us to wave her over. She's definitely a pro. She was even nice enough to laugh at my really bad jokes. They have attracted a pretty nice clientele if my observations were correct. There was plenty of conversations happening but no shouting or yelling. We were immediately greeted to get drink orders. We ended up ordering the 10 inch Tuscan pizza (it came cut into 6 slices). We also ordered the Chicken Saltimbocca. After about 15-20 minutes both dishes arrived. The Chicken Saltimbocca was outstanding. The flavor was delicious. Would highly recommend. The Tuscan pizza was also great. We started with a board and a bottle The board was so yummy & perfect for 2 for sharing, the cheeses on this board went well together and I think my favorite item on the board were the pickles they were unlike any other pickles I've ever tasted before really tickled my tastebuds. I was able to sample the rose & the Pinot noir & ended up ordering a glass of that as well. It was the last night for live music & im glad we were able to experience it because it will not be back till September due to the weather!
