Staff was very helpful, but you could see the stress and several customers complaining. Some of the rules are very bad for customer service relationships. 1. Standing in line for gaming card, most places have free standing machines that take your money and give you a card. 2. Standing in line for Id check and beer, with empty bar seat next to it dumb. 3. Saturday and Sunday when you make your most money, you need more staff 4. Less staff durning weekend means sticky tables and lost repeat business. read more

Hands down best arcade in NEO. I frequent at arcade bars all over the state and USA. They have a great selection of imported Japanese games. They have cute anime and Japanese prizes in the crane games. There will be no vintage arcade cabinet games. If you love fighter,shooter,crane and dance games definitely come here. Great game selection and overall decent prices for how modern everything is. Unique and hard to find games. I wish there was more Japanese stuff aside from the machines and gifts. Japanese food options like okonomiyaki, more sake drinks or Hitachino beer, etc. Some games were broken but the techs were around the floor fixing different games. Atmosphere and bowling are nice. The customer service leaves much to be desired. They served us a raw pizza tonight and then took up a half hour of our bowling time to get a refund for the pizza. The customer service sucks. I'm here right now and I had a question about the green swip card since this is my first time here. So I stood in line to ask someone at the Guest Counter. Two Caucasian girls are standing there having a conversation about personal stuff and the lady with glasses wearing a red and white stripped shirt is looking me dead in the face no one else is in line but me and they continued having there convo. They didn't care so finally I said I need assistance and the one little girl with the headset on says go to the next counter for assistance with an attitude. This place has room for growth. The bowling is spot on. Cheap and fun for family and friends to have a good time. Adult beverages are cheap as well depending on what you get of course. Where Round 1 misses it's mark are the games and how expensive they are to play with no real reward value. $30 dollars will get you 150 credits to play games. Each game is between 5-9 credits a play so if you do the math, you're only getting 17- 30 games you can play. The credits go fast too especially with kids games. All I'm saying is if you put 8 credits in a game, you should be able to get more than 4 tickets for playing it. Food is cheap (not in a good way) almost like a Chuck E Cheese and there is not enough staff. Like I said, Round 1 can improve but it still needs some work. Better kitchen food and cheaper games with greater rewards would make this place much more enjoyable. read more

Any staff I had questions for weather it be about bowling, tickets etc had zero customer service or interest in helping. We booked a 3 hour party for 20 kids at Round1 in Mentor mall. It started off very bad. The party was supposed to start at 4 pm but the room and the cards weren't ready until 4:30 pm. All parents came up to me in confusion asking if they should give their kids some money to play. The food was supposed to be all-you-can-eat and we were told that our hostess would come into the room every 10 minutes to check if we needed anything, bring new pizza and refill drinks. No one came into the room to serve the party. The food was not bad but they kept running out of pizza, drinks, cups and plates. I had to go to the front desk every time we ran out of things and wait in the line. My adult guests also had to help me managing everything. Round1 did not provide the forks and the plates for the cake. So I had to go to a nearby store to buy them. They did not provide any help with managing and organizing kids. I was running around the place gathering kids up for bowling, food, cake and just making sure they were all OK. There are multiple open exits in the building with no security personal at the doors. If parents drop their kids off and leave, it's basically your responsibility to watch the kids and make sure nothing happens to them. Imagine watching 20 kids who are running around that huge place. I could not relax for a second! Couple adults bought a glass of wine and a glass of beer in the bar and then took it with them into the party room to drink and socialize with others. Several managers walked into the room telling us that we were not allowed to bring the alcohol into the party room and that they were recording us on video camera. One of the managers said they would kick us out of the place if we didn't follow their rules. After that confrontation the barman refused to sell the alcohol to my guests even if they sat at the bar! No one at my party was drunk and no one needed to be restricted! At one point a security guy came into the room and asked my cousin what he was drinking (he was drinking sprite from a cup I bought). I paid about $500 for this party. Instead of watching the kids, Round1 was watching the adults and it made me feel like I was stealing from them. By the way there are no signs notifying the customers that Round1 has video surveillance in the party room. They should have been super apologetic for the bad service from the very start. Instead the management was very rude and totally ruined it for us. I will never set my foot in that place. read more

Went there tonight and it was disgusting! Garbage all over the floor. Cups and trash on the games. Half of the games were out of order. No one was following guidelines by wearing masks. I really wanted to like this place and have gone on three different occasions but I have some major issues with this place. Strictly the arcade portion, which is the only part I have personally partaken in. First off, prices are pretty steep here. There is an "unlimited play" option available however the game selection this can be used on is incredibly limited, and as far as I am aware, basically none of the imported games are in the included in that options (the real reason I REALLY want to like this place). The unlimited option is only good for 1 hour of playtime as well. This seems like a very poor value. It would be awesome, if they added extended unlimited play options, because it just seems like a tough sell for me to spend roughly a third of what it costs to get a personal home gaming console for what maybe an hour or two of rather flawed gaming? Due to the relatively high prices, along with the microscopic duration of most games, you will be burning through some serious money. I felt like I was in the wrong tax bracket to be able to fully enjoy the arcade. Understanding that an arcade is not likely to be the greatest cost to benefit entertainment conversion medium, I still felt like I was absolutely incinerating my money. IF you are looking for a good price per pound entertainment option look elsewhere in my earnest opinion. My greatest outrage however was the customer service I received on my last visit. Spent an extended duration of time (and MONEY!) attempting to obtain a prize card from a coin pusher game only to have the machine malfunction trapping the card in the dispenser, only to not have it dispensed. All I wanted was one petty prize card which I had ACTUALLY WON, so and attendant was called to see if it could be retrieved for me. Disclaimer: I have had this issue with these type games at other arcades on a few other occasions, and they merely opened the machines, un-jammed it and gave me the cards/prizes I had rightfully won. This time there was no such luck, the staff member simply told me the card "is not guaranteed" and there was "nothing he could do". I know that technically they can claim this sort of stance as they are "games of chance" however due to a mechanical error on the part of the machine I was denied my prize. I am rather upset that literally no effort was made to come to some sort of solution to this issue especially considering I had already been a customer who paid a fair amount to this establishment. Ultimately this a reflection of this place's dedication to customer satisfaction, and entertainment. I guess hard balling me over a card worth 50 tickets is worth losing a customer over, interesting company values. Keep this in mind if you decide to tread here and obviously, play at your own personal peril. I certainly would not recommend this place, do yourself a favor and spend whatever you would have here, on something your actually guaranteed. read more

Sunday Eve staff horrible. When addressing a misunderstand about food removed from my table, the two staff Rob and Chris (supervisors/manager) were rude and somewhat trying the "hot head" intimidation approach. The games were awesome for my 8 y/o daughter but if there is a discrepancy of any kind, I advise to please stay away from the managers or supervisor. They are very unprofessional. This place is straight TRASH! I have been there in two occasions, months apart, and it spelled like fresh poop and stupidity! It has awesome potential but it is not Dave & Busters. Like D&B's drunk uncle but he's very smart. Lol. Nothing is done right, a popular place with only one person at a food stand, running out of pizza, shitty prizes, 10 tables, and more than a necessary amount of employees who know absolutely nothing. And that was the most recent occasion. On the last occasion they took forever to let me and my family bowl, and then rushed us off the lanes as soon as our game was over to let another family bowl and when we complained they legit said "Don't come back here". THE EMPLOYEE "LEAD ZACH" NEEDS TO BE FIRED. HE IS RUDE AND UNPROFESSIONAL!!! This Saturday was my first time at Round1 after hearing rave reviews. I planned for my family, a party of 11 to come bowl, shoot pool and play games. We got there around 5pm and the manager behind the counter helping with food and drinks was amazing. I didn't get his name, but he was really nice. The arcade is HUGE and there are tons of pool tables. We really wanted to bowl so I went to the desk and advised that we were ready to pay, and I was told that we had to wait until the last 2 people of our party arrived which was weird but whatever, we waited. So once everyone got there I went back and said I was ready to pay. The clerk (a young lady with glasses) told me that EACH person would need to pay to bowl and to rent our shoes. So I wrangled everyone up THEN I was told since there was 10 of us, we'd need 2 lanes and the wait would be 45 minutes. No problem, I asked could we pay now? I was told no (which was stupid, but ok). So a hour goes by, we were playing pool so it wasn't a big deal. I go back to the clerk and spoke with "Lead Zach" and was told it would be another 45 minutes. I was pissed but didn't get upset. We went back to playing pool and it's right next to the bowling alley. I saw 2 empty lanes so I went back to the clerk and Lead Zach advised they were CLEANING THE AREA AND IT WOULD BE ABOUT 5-10 MINUTES. We got our text that the lanes were ready and went to pay AND then we were told it would have to be on 1 bill, we couldn't pay separately?!?! If that was the case, why did we have to wait for the other 2 ppl in our party to get there? I would have paid for everyone. AND the girl with the glasses did not advise me of that before, so my aunt ended up paying for ALL of us to bowl and our shoes which sucks because that's not what she came to do and that wasn't written anywhere. We finally got our lanes and everything was great. My family had a great time, we had our 2 lanes, everything is great. HERE COMES THE ISSUE! The lane I was in finished our game first, and the other lane we paid for (both lanes with 10 ppl and shoes totaled over $96) had 1 more round to go. Not 3 minutes after my lane finished The young girl from before came up to my mom with another family asking us to move to the side. We hadn't even put our shoes back on and were being asked to move after waiting almost 2 hours?!? I was furious. So I told Lead Zach that it was a horrible experience to be asked to move not even 5 minutes after finishing our game WHILE our other lane was still in use. This gem of an employee then stated "then don't come back then". PLEASE BE AWARE OF THE HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. The place is awesome but with employees like "LEAD ZACH" working there, I can see it getting ugly pretty quickly. Hire some quality people like the manager behind the food counter and if Zach is training employees, be ready for more complaints because he is not good at his job. read more

It's not horrible but it's certainly not a place I would go back to. As a 22 y/0 who went here for my nephews 7th birthday, I got the $22 game card package which i don't remember the amount of tokens it gives you but it was ample i played about 6-8 games solo and about 3-4 game's with my girlfriend & that lasted me about an hour 1/2 and the games were decent price but I didn't like that they were decimals instead of whole numbers a system I'm sure they employ to suck more money out of people. Now the worst things were the tickets, granted tickets were never a focus of mines but I did attempt to get a few & so did my girl which didn't go so well for neither. So when I was done I went to their little card/ticket machine which I guess tells you your ticket balance and also whatever tokens you have left it takes those and converts it to tickets so I was left with 44 tickets and I go into the LITTLE ticket shop with not many options and ungodly ticket prices for items and there was no items for under like 100 tickets so I just left half satisfied I understand its a business but its a business that wont be getting my business. I didn't try any food or drinks the guy who gave me my card was friendly. In closing I wouldn't recommend nor go back, just not for me there is more established facilities to take your kids to. read more

Must stand in line, buy your beer (or wine, no booze) then sit at bar. They don't serve u at the bar??? No waitresses for tables. Not the best experience I've had. Bowling was over priced and I waited an over an hour. The arcade is also very expensive. The food wasn't good and again... over priced. We booked out child's birthday party there. While the place is entertaining and clean, do not let this fool you. We were quoted one price and were charged an extra $130 when we arrived on the day of the party. The included games in the "all inclusive" package limit the kids options to only about 25% of the games on the game floor. Our hour of bowling didn't even allow the kids to finish one game because the lane kept malfunctioning. We also had a few kids that did not show and we were forced to pay for them anyway so make sure you estimate your head count on the low end. The outrageous pricing does not include cake, utensils or cake plates. They also are not licensed to allow you to tale home any of your "all you can eat" food. SO...for an outrageously priced party: no hostess, VERY limited gaming, malfunctioning bowling lanes, pay for guests who aren't even there AND they try to throw out food that you paid for. Fun place but NOT AT ALL worth the price! Will NEVER have a party here again!! read more

I suppose this place is best for children but it's certainly not great for a night out if you want to have a few drinks. I was there on a Saturday night and stood in line for over 20 minutes to order drinks. First of all, they only have beer and wine. Secondly, they will only serve one drink per person. So basically there were 3 of us in the drink line, one person in the food line and one person saving a table and we could only walk away with 3 drinks. Really lame. We had to get back in line for 2 more drinks. At that point we gave up on drinking... money lost for Round 1. The food was just ok, typical greasy bowling alley/amusement park-type food. Lastly, you have to wait in line to purchase a game card if you want to pay with a credit card, you can use the kiosks but they are cash only. The games seemed to be more expensive to play than Dave and Buster's and I didn't feel like I won as many tickets as I do at D&B's. As I said, better for kids but if you want an adult night out, this isn't the place. read more
