It's a very large space, noisy with several bars. We tried to pick the most quiet area, across from the bar area. My friend ordered a smothered baked potato with brisket and I had a burger. The potato was smallish filled the Mac and cheese with some stringy brisket on top. Very sorry presentation. It was a very cheesy concoction. The brisket was probably the leftover remnants off someone plate. My burger had no flavor, was cooked medium to order and had absolutely no seasonings that would have made up for the lackluster lack of flavor of the beef. The fries were pretty good. The best part of the meal was the carrot cake. Not your typical carrot cake. It was excellent. The bill with tip came to $80. They're located inside Elk Grove's Sky River Casino so parking can sometimes be a bit challenging to find depending on how busy the casino is. I got the double cheeseburger with bacon, my wife and daughters got the single cheeseburgers, we got a few fries, and a couple of milkshakes. I was told the order would be ready in about ten minutes and they were spot on. We live about 15 minutes away and everyone dug in immediately. The burgers came with their sauce, lettuce, tomato, pickle, and onions. The burgers were good but slightly overcooked for our taste. The fries were hot, crunchy, and the seasoning was great. The milkshakes were a fancier version of what you'd receive at a typical burger joint but were pretty tasty. After having two stiff drinks at the River Bar, I was in need of some food to soak up the alcohol. If you read my review for the casino, you know by now that I was excited to check out Butcher's Burger. A few months ago I did a search for the best burger spots in Elk Grove and Butcher's arrived at the top of the results. Esa (the cashier/server) was extremely personable and made me feel like a friend whom she just happened to be serving. I can confirm that the establishment lives up to it's near-perfect Yelp reviews. The burger was bursting with flavor, did not have any dry spots, and was on a quality bun that held up as I devoured the burger. 9/23/24 - I came with my brother & his wife to celebrate her birthday. We were all undecided when we got to the food court, because there weren't as many offerings as we had hoped, but what they had was satisfying. I opted for a burger from Butcher's Burgers. My brother also got a burger & fries. That double burger did not disappoint!!!! I tell you that will always be my choice. I grabbed a few of my brother's fries and I was glad I didn't order because that was a huge basket of fries. I didn't care for the fries, but next time I might try the shake. I wish they would offer just a vanilla shake or ice-cream soda, that will make a great pairing with burgers. The cashier was very pleasant she is a people person; very personable. She helped my sister-in-law with questions she had about the pizza at the other concession. She told her which one was the best! I was thinking it was just a slice, but it's a whole pizza. While I was waiting for our burgers I got our drinks straws, napkins and I had to go back to get our condiments. Everything was well stocked, plenty of packaged mayo, mustard and relish. Also, salt and pepper for your fries. I was very hungry and could not wait to eat my burger. I wish I had one of those burgers right now!! The food court was displayed with lush plants and plenty chairs and tables for large or small parties. From where we sat we could see other diners and the beautiful lights from the slot machines. We decided to take a minute and wander through the casino and see what they had to offer. Long and behold, we landed in front of this cute burger spot in the back corner of the food court. I got the bbq burger and my partner got the double cheeseburger with some fries, which ended up being only $30! This was unexpectedly affordable! The burgers were delicious, hardy and filling.
