He is as honest as they come, does a remarkable job, knows everything about cars and can fix pretty much anything. The Good: Very friendly, approachable sales and mechanical staff. Lots of show cars and happy customers on display. Reasonable with cost of work and parts. Called me back like they said they would. Clean shop, looks comforting. They did find a brake fluid leak I missed, and didn't give me a hard time about doing that work myself. The Meh: I paid for 4w alignment only to find they just adjusted the front/rear toe. No other shop had trouble with front camber, but this one said it "can't be adjusted on this car". No call to say that, and evasive about whether they tried and lost to rust -- or if they just didn't know it was adjustable. But that's what I paid them for... I guess they also inspected my air filter, because I found it wasn't closed all the way. A sudden extra roaring sound when I left should have been hard to miss. Verdict: My car is 18 years old, and though it looks its age I love it. But I hoped for more than I got from this shop.

For Christmas I got my wife an automatic car starter. Instead of taking the Acura to a Best Buy and have some "high school kid" screw up the job. I decided to pay a premium price and have the dealership do it. I could have saved myself $500 and the trip time if I had let BB fix do the job. Two trips and basically the auto starter works about the only time when you are actually sitting in the vehicle. The sales people said it should start at least from 50 feet. Yeah right! Not only that if it does work it shuts off after about 10 mins. So it is zero outside and 10 mins doesn't even defrost your windshield. That means if you are lucky enough to get it to work again you have to remember or in 5 mins you are back to a frozen ice cube! Also it is difficult to know if the car is actually running or not. The daytime running lights do not activate. Second reason why I love Sunnyside so!. The car air conditioner was not working properly. I took the car to the local Auto repair shop and they indicated after draining the coolant that they could not recharge the system with refrigerant. It apparently needed to be done by a certified Acura dealer. So down to Sunnyside we go. They gave us a loaner and told us not to drive it much. They could not fix the problem and had no idea what to do. So day after day this went on. Finally after getting annoyed with them on a couple of occasions I told them I wanted the car back and we would make other arrangements. This was approximately 10 days after we brought it in. I would be down later that afternoon to return the loaner and pick up our unrepaired car. Not more than 20 mins later the dealership called my wife and said the car was fixed! $800 later we drove off. I cannot recommend this dealership.

We also bought an older (but nice looking) RAV4 for our daughter as her first car probably 10 years ago from their lot, and she's still driving it with almost 300,000 miles on it. I like going in there, they treat you almost as if you are their friend and it's a real personal touch like in the old days, Andy remembers my name --nobody does that anymore because most people don't seem to care, but they do and it feels good, if I'm being honest. I am surprised to see some people saying it is too expensive and I will probably concede that it is not the bargain basement of car places but neither is the professional level of expertise and what you get for the money. In talking to a coworker of mine in Hampton NH and one of my neighbors about some car issues, they go to the dealerships where they bought their cars and they paid a lot and both had problems with the work, my neighbor always gets a little bit of a rough reception at his car dealership in Peabody and they give him an argument about everything, but that has never been our experience here, not even a hint of any ill treatment, 100% the polar opposite. As I said, we have never felt we overpaid here and have always been satisfied with the repairs. It is hard to find a good mechanic that you trust, and Andy and his wife, who works there also but I believe only a few days a week, are real sweet people and they really love and respect their customers in my opinion.
