We originally had my vehicle towed to Dufresnes because it was close to our house and we thought a small local business with good reviews would take care of us. What started as a $3,500 repair quickly snowballed into an $8,500 repair with "one more issue" popping up every few days. The process moved painfully slow, included delays from wrong parts being received, and took nearly 3 weeks from start to finish. During that time I was given a loaner car that was absolutely disgusting. Stains on the seats, dirt and dust covering every surface, debris everywhere, and an old air freshener literally adhered to the center console. I called the same day because honestly I assumed they would be mortified they handed a customer a vehicle in that condition. Instead I was told, "well it's free." No apology, no concern, nothing. I was also told they were short staffed and someone had broken their leg/foot, and that if I brought it in she would vacuum it herself. I wasn't going to bring a filthy car back and have an older woman vacuum it herself. I ended up cleaning the car myself and moved on because I was just happy to finally get my vehicle back. Then one of the brand new tires they installed went completely flat. I dropped it off for repair and was told they would call me when it was ready. The next morning I saw I had missed a call with no voicemail, so I called and said, "Hi, I dropped my tire off yesterday and I saw I missed a call so I was just checking for an update." Before I could even finish, the woman cut me off to argue that they "ALWAYS leave a voicemail." That wasn't even the point. I simply missed the call and was calling back. When I asked, "Ma'am, can you hear me?" because I thought maybe the phone was cutting out, she snapped, "I'M TALKING, DON'T INTERRUPT ME." She then started talking to me slowly and condescendingly like I was a child. When I arrived at the shop, nobody greeted me. As always, they just stared at me in silence. The woman with red hair walked over and silently held her hand out with no explanation. I handed her the tire lock, but she kept her hand out and expected me to somehow know she also wanted my keys. No "can I grab your keys?" No basic communication whatsoever. When I brought up how rude the phone call was, management immediately became defensive instead of apologizing or taking accountability. They AGAIN kept circling back to how they "always leave a voicemail," completely ignoring the actual issue, which was how disrespectfully I was spoken to. Then they flat out admitted the attitude toward me stemmed from when I called months ago about the condition of the loaner vehicle. So instead of being embarrassed they handed a customer a filthy car, they chose to hold a grudge over it and treat me poorly afterward. I have never experienced this level of hostility, defensiveness, and lack of professionalism from a business charging people thousands of dollars for repairs. The women who work here, including management, are some of the most miserable and unpleasant people I've ever dealt with in a customer service setting. Every interaction is met with defensiveness, attitude, and complete inability to take accountability. I'm sure they'll respond to this review the same way they respond to every negative review -- claiming the customer was "rude" while completely ignoring their own behavior. I did not start out rude. I became frustrated after being repeatedly spoken to with disrespect, condescension, and hostility over very reasonable concerns. If your business cannot handle polite customer feedback without holding grudges against paying customers months later, you should not be working in customer service.

Turned out the car just needed new spark plugs and ignition coils. For that I was charged over $1k! Later through googling I realized typical price for this type of work should range between about $300-400, so they charged me about THREE TIMES the normal cost. I thought a neighborhood shop like this could be trusted to be honest, but I guess its a hard lesson learned.

WE HAVE NEVER found an auto repair place like this!! THESE GUYS ARE HONEST and STRAIGHT-FORWARD and well-priced. (The lock was not addressed.) The starter they installed sounded bad. I asked them to put back the original starter and refund the charge. They refused. I explained that I intend to write a review describing my experience and threatened me saying "God will come for you and karma will get you back." Excuse me?? The car then broke down two days later. I called them to explain that the starter they installed was indeed bad. They not only did not fix the issue I asked them to, but have **now created a second larger one.** I asked them to refund the charge and reinstall the original starter so that I could at least undo the bad work they did and take the car elsewhere. They refused. He told me that I was "ungrateful for the hard work he did" and then hung up the phone. Quite confused. The hard work he did that only left car broken down on the side of the road in disrepair?? Disrepair in a way it never was before I took it to their shop. **Let me remind you the car had never broken down until they touched it. I simply went for a lock issue.** The car is now at a second shop. That shop requested the original starter and part number of the starter they installed so they can complete their assessment. All Automotive Repair refuses to provide any information regarding the work that they did. Today on the phone he said "I am not speaking to you.' And hung up the phone. DO NOT GO HERE. DO NOT TRUST THESE GUYS WITH ANYTHING. My card is currently trying to get the charge back and I'm pulling together a claim for small claims court. But I would have so much rather not be a part of this mess. I wish I never trusted my car with this company.

I had some pooling in the valley, and frankly, I'm not a weekend warrior DIY guy. I worked apartment maintenance before becoming disabled, and people often do more damage than help working on things they have no business working on. I saw it in apartments--people hanging TVs without proper fasteners and not even having at least one side in a stud. I am not certified and don't want to risk my truck installing a fairly complicated part that can literally tank my engine. The thing is, there was no leak, and the mechanic really went looking for it. He called me up, said there was no leak, and even asked if I wanted to proceed--which I did. My truck drives better than ever. The work was very fairly priced and incredibly well done. What I saw was the remnants of people doing subpar oil changes and not cleaning up after themselves. I can't recommend this place enough for their services--11/10. It's been about 6 months, and I've driven the truck quite a bit since then, moving from Portland to Salem--11 trips totaling 600 miles. I got 19 mpg and get 17 in the city, which is as good as I can hope for.

The gal who answered the phone asked for some information & had made a comment about how it was the end of her day. Once she ran the quote, she said that based on the type of car & what we were potentially needing that it was "too much labor" "over 5 hours worth" & also stated and I quote "no one is going to want to do this." I politely let her know that was okay & we were happy to do business with another auto shop that was willing to help. I let her know her comment rubbed me the wrong way. She apologized, which I appreciate, but she then justified it by saying she should "know better than to answer the phone so close to closing time" & that she had been at work since 7:30am and was tired. Overall, am disappointed in the experience - I had called based on the good reviews on Yelp/Google. Needless to say, I won't be considering them for any needs in the future since they don't seem to be hurting for business!
