First off these owners love what they do and you can tell because the energy they bring when greeting you is beyond welcoming. Thank you guys so much for that. We all need that in our businesses. The food is fresh and I finished every bit of it. Thank you guys! #nocrumbledtbehind

It's literally the perfect place to get your breakfast or lunch. The food is outstanding and the prices are too. The folks who run the place are the coolest people you'll ever meet, it's just a total positive experience. Come here and get luxury level tasting comfort food and a cheap prices. Just look at my sandwich it's a work of art I'm telling you to check this spot out you will luv it.

Pancake platter with sausage and scrambled eggs

The food was amazing! I ordered the pancake platter with two eggs and sausage as my choice of meat. The pancakes were moist and buttery and tasted even better with the syrup. Sausage was flavorful and also paired well with the syrup. The scrambled eggs were moist, delicious and cooked right. Service was great as well! The workers there are very nice and have tons of respect for their customers.

(Updated rating) quick and friendly service. Came for French toast & steak n cheese but was only able to get steak n cheese since breakfast wasn't being served at the time I arrived. I ordered steak n cheese (with lettuce ketchup mayo tomato onion peppers) combo that came with fries and a fountain drink for 14$. The food was good but was pretty expensive for the serving when comparing it to other local spots like the great BLT grill who sells steak n cheese and fries together for just 10$ with the same or slightly bigger portions. The restaurant is cool but nothing really special.

such a great place! i get their blt and their onion rings. the owner (i think) who works the cash register and takes your order is so kind. the second you walk in he greets you and the entire time you're ordering it feels like talking to an old friend. i take my food to go since my lunch break is so short but the place is nice and i would eat there if i could. has nice booth like seating all around.

We were looking for somewhere to grab something quick for lunch after picking up some appliances parts nearby. My husband noticed Peter's and mentioned that he used to go there all the time many years ago, so I said let's go! We walked in and were immediately greeted. The owner, Lee, has such an amazing personality and energy. He was also accommodating. I had asked for a steak and cheese without the bread. So they made it all with a side of fries and all the fixins. My husband got a BLY, which he said was really good. Great place, great vibed, and very efficient. We will definitely be back.

If I can give this more than 5 stars, I would! You'll get the most local, welcoming experience. I think it's a family owned restaurant. The owner is so friendly, I felt like I'm ordering something from my grandpa or a family member I got the steak, egg and cheese bagel which was tasty and soft. With a side of fries that exceeded my expectations, they were crunchy and not too thin, just how I like them

The owner is super kind -- and I can tell he is quite the busy one in there! Almost every other customer in there knew him and you can tell there are a lot of regulars. I decided to go with the breakfast platter since I hadn't eaten yet, and it wasn't long before it was ready. The platter includes eggs of any desired style (I always do scrambled), toast, potatoes and a choice of meat (I did turkey bacon). There are plenty of condiments for spicing up the food, such as ketchup, pepper, salt and much more! In terms of flavors, the bacon was nice and smoky, the eggs were tasty, and the toast was nice and buttery. As for the potatoes, I needed those fixings to spice them up. They were piping hot, but it just didn't seem like anything was added to spruce them up. But aside from that, everything was good!! There are some tables to dine in, and the vibe is definitely nice. When it's not busy, I wouldn't be surprised if the owner comes out and chats with people... he just seems so friendly! Others have spoken of the food beyond the breakfast stuff being tasty, so I'll have to try next time. If you're in the neighborhood please check them out!

Like, the decor is so cute and the whole place has so much charm. Being inside just has good vibes. I was greeted as soon as I entered and seated. I ordered: Roti (about $8): whewwwww. The roti is so freaking good. I think there are scallions in it which I appreciate. I love roti in all cuisines so I was happy. Dipping it in the massaman curry that came with it was a delightful experience. I don't regularly eat massaman curry, but it hit the spot! Spring rolls ($8): very typical. Like four in an order. Cool with the sauce but I make my own lol. Overall, standard. Tom yum with shrimp ($8): so freaking good. You get to pick your protein. It was really good. Thai iced teas ($4): so good. Sweeter but also milky enough to balance the sweetness. Deep-ish flavor. These were freaking steal. $4 and they don't overload them with ice. Service was good. Got my food in like 10 minutes. My philosophy is that there are simply too many restaurants in the world to return to a bad one. However, I was not aware that Glenwood's has upped its game. A lot! A helluva lot!!! While the ownership is still the same, everything else has changed - for the better! The dining room is neutral and completely understated. Quiet interior. Hushed energy and soft music. Beautiful finishes. Every surface I touched was clean, warm and modern. The service too was excellent. The hostess was friendly. She led us to one of the biggest booths I have ever occupied. Our server, Erika, was friendly too - also fast, good, charming, well-spoken and hard working. She helped us navigate the menu and made our dining experience really really nice. She is a credit to the restaurant! Of course, you go to a restaurant for the food and Glenwood's does NOT disappoint here either. Based on Erika's suggestion, we started with the Ahi Tuna Battera - a kind of sushi "roll" that is shaped/designed more like layered lasagne (Erika's description, not mine). It was great and almost too big for appetizer size. But I'm not complaining! For our main course, we both ordered the Fire Roasted Rotisserie Chicken. OMG! Delicious. Moist moist MOIST!!! I do not know what the chef put in that marinade but it was out of this world fantastic. Big big BIG!!! A half chicken with plenty of succulent meat on it. Neither one of us spoke until our chickens were picked clean. I only wish I could rotisserie a chicken that good! It was one of the best chickens I have ever eaten. For dessert, we gobbled down the cheesecake, making official gluttons out of ourselves! It was creamy, substantial and the perfect finish to our great meal. The negative to Glenwood's is its location. It is in a non-descript Rockville office building that is nothing special; but locked up and dark at nighttime. There is no other retail business within sight of the restaurant. This weird, lonely location gives it an abandoned - almost desolate - ambiance from the exterior. Driving by, I had almost thought it was a dining room for a retirement home. So, I started out this review by explaining that my bad experience at Stanford Grill kept me from enjoying a good dining experience at Glenwood's. I could not ignore the taint Stanford had given that place. But Glenwood's is a completely different place. The menu had so many great dishes that I want to return and try. I will definitely be back and I can see it becoming "my place." I highly recommend Glenwood's for a great meal in a great restaurant!

It was a good choice for us in this case because we were staying at the Even Hotel in Rockville. This restaurant was in the extensive commercial plaza adjacent to the hotel. Hence, it was a 2- or 3-minute walk out of the hotel entrance. While not readily obvious from Rockville Pike, it was easy for us to find. This place has French styling with respect to their menu offerings. They identify more specifically as French Fusion. The restaurant interior presented similar to that of a nicer American Bar/Restaurant (something like the Cheesecake Factory, for example, but not as massive). While the seating capacity was plentiful, it was fairly quiet on the Monday evening when we visited. Hence, there was no problem getting seated. Our server, Oliver, tended to us right away and did a good job taking care of us the entire time we were there. We had no complaints at all about the quality of the service and the timeliness of the food delivery. The menu featured several interesting options. My wife chose the Tartine Caprese Pesto dish. This included Mozzarella and Sliced Tomato on Toast covered with Pesto with a salad on the side. She was quite happy with this selection. I tried the Parisian Mushroom and Brie Omelet which also came with a Salad and a Waffle on the side as the bread. It was very tasty and quite filling. I should also mention that the complimentary French Bread with which we started was a nice touch. My wife had the Inconditionnel, which was a concoction with rum mixed with chocolate and hazelnut liqueurs and Orange Juice. I had a taste and thought it was pretty good. I tried the Sangria Rojo and was happy with that. The value was relatively reasonable for the type of place it was. With food, drink, tax and tip, our bill came to about $68. At $34 each, this seemed commensurate with the experience. If you fancy this sort of food, this is a good choice for a nice dinner in Rockville, a place full of restaurant choices. I wavered between a 3- and 4-star rating, but ended up with a four-star rating as they did quite a few things right.

The two pastries we had were both good and satisfying. The pain aux raisins had a moist texture with a gentle sweetness. The croffle itself was nicely buttery and delicious, although the cream on top was a bit too heavy for my taste. Prices felt reasonable for the quality and location. Service was quick and friendly. I visited this location 3 times, 2 while I lived in Wheaton and one not long after moving away from Montgomery County. Feb. 2019 I used my birthday deal, pretty uneventful good food. Oct. 2020 there was another deal, again uneventful. My 3rd visit was the noteworthy one in March 2021. I recruited a friend to help use my birthday deal expiring fairly soon (as it's a BOGO deal), who lives in Montgomery County and doesn't like driving far. So, I schlepped from my home in western Anne Arundel County over to Rockville as God forbid he would schlep to Watch First in Laurel in PG County (my closest location), Columbia, or anywhere close to me. Food was good per normal. Server was nice and efficient. However, as a polite word in baseball, she made an error. She spilled the cranberry juice all over my friend. I was spared from her error sitting on the opposite side of the booth. At first, she said we can take the cranberry juice off the bill. We said that was weak. Manager came over and was nice saying how about we comp this meal for you. We said that's a lot better. However, I added that my birthday deal will be useless. The manager said he would just take off my meal too, and I could use the birthday deal again. I don't think I ended up using the birthday deal ultimately that year as it was close to expiration. Overall, while the cranberry juice was spilled was not good, the manager was nice & handled this well. First Watch Rockville is overall positive in my experience.
