So I started at Nike not too long ago and I've eaten here four/five times. I've had the kalua pig, sweet garlic chicken, kalbi chicken, and teri beef. Goal is try to something different every time I come. So far everything is terrific. The local staff is very friendly and always joking around with the customers. The food is very good and fairly inexpensive and they are always giving out samples while you stand in line. You can even get steamed vegetables if you prefer your plate lunch a little healthier. Be aware that the mac salad might get addictive. I order steamed veggies my first time (good) and mac salad the second time. I haven't gone back to steamed veggies since. If you are looking for an even better deal, the $5 keiki plate (rice/fried noodles with the meat choice) is a great option if you are not a big eater. My wife and I stopped in last night for a quick dinner. Had the Teriyaki Chicken plate, which came with rice and mac salad on the side. It was very good. Both my wife and I left very satisfied. The employees were very nice and seemed to genuinely enjoy what they do. Price was great as well, as we only spent $12.50 for meals and drinks between the both of us. I've been to several Hawaiian joints around Portland, but somehow I passed this one up. Shame on me for discovering only recently. The food was great! I played it safe with a simple teriyaki plate and I was really satisfied with what I got. The chicken was fresh, the macaroni salad was fantastic and they gave me a healthy portion for a great price. Please don't go thinking Roxys is fast food. They have sign that warns you. Its amazing food, it does take some time especially in the lunch rush to get your food but its totally worth it. Roxys has become my favorite place for teriyaki chicken and I love coming in with my friends just to chill and have a great time because the atmosphere is lay back and super fun. Their new location also has the bonus of an outdoor seating space so in the summer its the best place to go. read more

I have been to Roxy's a few times and find the food to be very good and an excellent value. The Teriyaki burger with mac salad is the best deal on the menu and has been delicious each time I've had it. Not all of the dishes are 4 or 5 star, but the food seems consistent and its' very likely that most people can find something they enjoy on the menu and feel like they got a good deal on it. If you crave Hawaiian food, you should try Roxy's at least once. Your wallet and palette will thank you! read more

This place has great chicken hawaiian dishes. I love the shoyu and teriyaki chicken. Their steamed vegetables go great with their rice, chicken, and sauce. I am giving the place 4 stars because the atmosphere is a little lacking. but other than that, the place has great food and its reasonably priced. I am new to the area and my boyfriend and I wanted to drive around and find a new place we've never had before. We came upon Roxie's, didn't look fancy (hole in the wall places are usually our favorite). We walked in a saw a line which doesn't bother us, we like seeing a ton of people here because it should mean it's delicious. We looked through the menu and didn't know what anything was besides teriyaki, heard almost every single person get the "shoyu" so I ordered shoyu and kalbi I believe it was and he got shoyu and spicy teriyaki. We both got one scoop rice and noodle and the famous Mac salad. O. M. G. it was mouth orgasmic! The shoyu was so tender and juicy, it was nothing like I have ever had before. The rice wasn't over cooked and the noodles were out of this world too! I usually can't find tasty noodles but these were amazing and then came the incredible Mac salad.. I don't even know how to explain it. The kalbi was good and the spicy teriyaki was better. Definitely will be getting the shoyu everytime! This place should be on man vs food! When this place opened a couple years ago I would've given it 5-stars. Over the last several months the owners have put their focus on another location. As a long-time customer I feel this location has unfortunately taken a hit with quality and speed of service, as well as the quality of some dishes. This review is just for the sho-yu chicken. Had the teriyaki, unimpressed. The kaluha pork had big chunks of fat. Don't love that their hours are so inconsistent, and that they are closed on Mondays. Have gone by several times only to find them closed early for events or that I forgot it was Monday. The guys seem cool, and I've never had better Macaroni salad. The sho-yu is the best I've ever had, and I'm pretty sure I could eat it every day with a smile. read more

Best Hawaiian joint I've tried in all of Oregon! I've been to NoHo's, Hawaiian Kine BBQ, L&L, Hawaiian Time, Hodgepodge and this is by far my fav. Everything I've tried has been delicious, the whole staff is very personable and engaging, prices are great and portion sizes are very generous. I've had the Sweet Garlic Chicken (my fav), Kalbi, Teriyaki, Shoyu, Katsu, and Shoyu chicken. Each are their own distinct flavors and textures and you can't go wrong with any. The Kalua pork on Fridays makes treks out on Fridays worth it alone. I love a good Hawaiian mac salad and theirs is right up there. We even got offered some free pineapple upside down cake (which again speaks to the generosity of Roxy's) and it was great too. The only knocks someone might try to put on Roxy's is they only accept cash which for someone like me (who never carries cash) might seem like a big deal but I go out of my way to make sure I have cash so I can always stop in if I need to. Don't let cash only deter your taste buds from this delicious experience of wonderful food. This place is so good I tried it about 2 months ago and I've probably gone about 10 times and I've got my wife hooked also. read more

My grandparents lived in Hawaii (on Oahu and Kauai) for about 10 years when I was a kid. As a result, I love Hawaiian food... moco loco, Spam musibi, chili & rice, plate lunch... heck, I even think poi is pretty good. And Roxy's is better than any I've had here in Oregon. I've had the Shoyu chicken and grilled kalbi chicken, and both were delicious and quite cheap. People who don't think this place isn't authentic enough probably haven't spent much time having lunch with a real Hawaiian family, I have numerous times and these are some ono grinds, bra! This is seriously the best hawaiian food I've had in the area. Their mac salad is rich and fresh tasting and I've also tried the kalbi chicken which is tender and flavorful. They have extra shoyu sauce on the tables just incase you wanted more to smother your rice in and everyone is so friendly! They also give samples out if you are undecisive. Not the best I've ever had but not the worst. I got the Kalua pork to go. When I got home the entire dish was swimming in pork drippings but it resembled oil - kinda gross. The Mac salad had a lot of mayo - too much for my taste. My first bite of pork had a huge fat cap mixed in with the meat. Not what a wanted and had to spit it out. I am writing this review mainly, because of the macaroni salad. I don't know what they make that stuff with, but it is A-M-A-Z-I-N-G. That means it is probably not good for you, but we go there when we want comfort food and generous portions. That little A-Frame Hawaiian Food Shack is the best place for comfort food!
