My son and I have been coming to this location for the past two years, and now we get take out about once per week My son is hooked on the beef teriyaki, medium spicy. I am always up to try something new. My favorites are the kalbi ribs, the sweet ginger chicken, and the teriyaki burger (amazing)!. Their mac salad is better than all of the mac salad that I have had in Hawaii. Recently I tried the Siamin. Think ramen but Hawaiian. Noodles with pork and fish cake, cabbage, egg, and green onions in a flavorful broth. It was so unbelievably good. The food was as expected for a Hawaiian food chain. We enjoyed the beef plate and shoyu chicken The customer service; however, wasn't the friendliest or welcoming for a first time customer to Roxy's. I also mentioned it was my first time. No smile, and every question about items on the menu seemed to have irritated the lady taking orders at the front. I was close to cancelling my order; however, I did want to get a taste of food from Roxy's. Overall experience: I'll give the food a 4 out of 5. I would try it again at a different location. 5 star food, 3 stars for the delivery quality. We ordered through doordash but the ordered was prepared by the restaurant, so it seems appropriate to hold them accountable. They have a good selection of classic Hawaiian fare. I ordered a plate lunch split between Pineapple Chicken and Teriyaki Chicken. The Teriyaki was good but the Pineapple Chicken was excellent. I had also ordered 2 parts rice and 1 part steamed veggies. I got 2 rice and 1 macaroni. My husband had his order correct, but had also requested teriyaki and soy sauce. They were not in the bag, through they did appear on the receipt. They had gluten free options marked on their menu, which made it much easier to make an informed choice. The food was plentiful and I wasn't able to finish. I will have another go at it tomorrow. Will I eat this food again? Yes, definitely. There is something special in this kind of food. I've been wanting to stop in here for quite a while now, and I was finally able to today while visiting a friend nearby. It's located in a strip mall with plenty of parking. However, the parking lot can be awkward because of the drive-through coffee truck where lines form in the middle of the parking area. First off, it is extremely cold inside this restaurant! I'm not sure why the air conditioning was on?! It's January and 37° outside. Maybe they don't want patrons dining in?! We decided to get our food to go and eat it somewhere more comfortable. The girl at the counter was friendly and helpful. I ordered a plate with 1/2 teriyaki chicken and 1/2 garlic chicken. It came with 2 scoops of rice and 1 scoop of mac salad. They have a bar area where you can add more sauce or put extra sauce in little cups with lids to take home with you. It was a generous portion for $11. The chicken was good. It was made with chicken thighs, so there were a few fatty pieces. I prefer chicken breast, but I didn't see that option there. The garlic chicken was kind of a bummer. It was super hard, and the chicken was super dry. The garlic flavor was good, though. The mac salad stole the show. It was super yummy! Overall, it was an okay first experience. I was craving spam musubi, but unfortunately Roxy's doesn't offer it, which was okay since I just opted for the Spam & Eggs Plate Lunch & it was great. I tried the garlic chicken for the first time and it was delicious! I liked the crispiness to it and the garlic wasn't overpowering. The menu has a nice variety of plates, getting to choose from chicken, pork or beef with sides of rice, veggies, Mac salad & noodles. I like that you can mix up your sides or double them. what a hidden gem. I was surprisingly shocked at the quality of the food. I mean, the establishment is kind of tucked away in a shopping center, but from the constant flow of customers coming in to patronize the business, I was excited to go home and taste the Kalibi beef, side of Mac salad which was absolutely creamy and delicious. The meat hot and plentiful also we ordered the garlic chicken, fried rice, steamed vegetables and fried noodles very flavorful. I also couldn't help myself when I seen there was a soup on the menu. I mean it wasn't Pho or Ramen. It was a delightful noodle seafood broth soup with egg, green and I wanna say some kind of barbecue /chargrilled pork (no sauce), but truly worth ordering again. I love the food at Roxy's, but service has gone way down lately. Tonight, they closed an hour early. Probably because they were already out of so many items. Last week, we tried to order online for a pick up, but they closed early that night too. This happened one more time last week, so we went in early tonight, hoping for our favorites, but they were sold out. I went to test room and in the giant TP dispenser, both were completely empty and so was the paper towels. I was saddened when Pogy's sandwiches closed suddenly. It was a great alternative to Subway and I was supporting a local business. Then one of my friends texted me with glee stating Roxy's would be taking over. Ecstatic and overjoyed, I would no longer need to go to the West Side errrrrr Beaverton to get that special mac salad fix. After various visits, I am happy to state that they have exceeded my expectations and more. They are open everyday and the prices and quality is just as good, if not better than their other locations. I have brought friends here who have never tried Roxy's and they were hooked in a heartbeat. The portions are generous and the price point is perfect. Often times I can get 2 meals since the portions are great and the quality remains intact. Be careful if you want your food spicy as it does pack a good heat. If you don't want rice, you get can get veggies or noodles which I do sometimes. The service is fantastic and they make sure every customer is taken care of. They have daily specials so be sure to check those out. I think it's time I pay another visit since it's been almost a couple months since my last fix! read more

The woman working here each time I've gone isn't very "aloha." I have to admit the food here is good...solid mac salad too. But man, the attitude of this lady working there is so off putting that my husband and I joked about never going back. She just looks eternally pissed when you walk up. And I don't mean "I'm having a bad day pissed" but not friendly pissed. Sure enough we went back and the same person was working the register and they're just....so short with you. There's also passive aggressive signs everywhere about how it isn't fast food and food takes time to cook etc. I assume this was done in an effort to curb people getting mad at food taking too long to cook and I do appreciate that it isn't fast food but good lord, there's a way to say things with more tact. Picked up an Ohana Family dinner tonight. I wanted to call in my order but they don't take orders over the phone (why not?!), so I ordered, then waited in my car for them to bring it out. Chose: Pineapple chicken Kahlua pork Shoyu chicken It came with rice and macaroni salad, and we subbed some of the rice for steamed veg at no charge. $58 for 4 adults and one kid. Totally way too much food-- and we are eaters. We'll get a smaller combo next time. The pineapple chicken was the star: good crunch on the meat, sweet sauce, generous dollop of pineapple on top. Kahlua pork was tender and flavorful. The Shoyu chicken was kind of dry, I expected better flavor for your signature popular dish. The rice was average, the veggies simple but fresh, and the macaroni salad was really yummy. Tasted just like what I was craving! Thanks Roxy's! Heard about this new place in town and had to check it out. I was NOT disappointed!! Hawaiian food is very hot and miss, my expectations were so so. Upon entering I was greeted by a friendly lady at the counter. She started offering samples of their different meats. She knew good food makes a big man happy. Three different chicken styles and the pork. All of the chicken samples were very tasty. The pork sample was way above and beyond. Tender, juicy, flavorful, and not, i replete NOT too salty. This is where most places go wrong, they hit a home run. Took our food to go. It came with two scoops of rice and macaroni salad. Rice was good and salad was very tasty. I got all pork and was happy with that choice. My other half split the meats with pork and garlic chicken. Both good choices. Portions were good, I'm a full figured guy and almost pulled up short. Might have called it good before the end of it hadn't been so tasty. Lunch for two was $15.50. Great quality, good portions, and good prices. I've found a new favorite lunch spot! read more

The quality of the meat here has gone down over time but the food is still good. The garlic chicken is probably my favorite on the menu. Their mac salad is probably one of my favorites of all the Hawaiian diners I've tried. The meats being really fatty is a huge down fall for me when choosing to come back to a place or not though. They have decent sized portions and lots of options to choose from. They even give you an option of fried rice here as well. I have to admit that in the realm of chain Hawaiian restaurants I think Hawaiian Time has better favors, better seasonings, and better quality of meats. The girl at the counter was clearly new but she was doing a great job and she was super friendly. Learning a register is never an easy thing to do, especially with all the things people want to change, add or substitute. She earned an extra star for being so friendly and trying her best. Wow! This really tasted like Hawaiian food from the Island! I ordered a combo plate half shoyu and half sweet garlic chicken with mac salad and kimchi as the sides. Just wow! I can't emphasize how good the shoyu and chicken tasted. The shoyu was so tender and juicy. The salad was perfect not too much mayo and good about of seasoning. Literally they were out of everything I ordered, didn't let me know before I ordered and payed so I payed for everything and then twice had to let me know they were out of it all, after at least 10 minutes of waiting for it to be done already. Just picked up my online order, what a complete disappointment. First off my order was wrong. They forgot the Kahlua Pork that was the plate I ordered with 1/2 garlic chicken! Why would you even attempt to serve that hard, old, dried up chicken and Mac salad? So now I return to the restaurant to get this dish right. Well they are out of Kahlua Pork. In the vast sea of blah food that is available in the Milwaukie/Gladstone area, Roxy's shines! The quality is great, the flavors are fantastic, portions are large and the price is right. I'm not a huge chicken thigh person but I always get the Garlic Honey and the Shoyu Chicken combo and it's delicious! It's easy to dry out Shoyu so just in case I ask for extra sauce. Served with rice, veggies and mac salad the flavors go so well together. The only reason I don't them 5 stars is that they don't take phone orders and you must (unless you want to wait outside) use the online ordering website, which is fine but then don't charge me $2 fee to use it! The staff is always friendly and the cost for 2 combo plates plus side salad which honestly is enough to feed 3 all in with tip/fee will run you about $30. Otherwise a solid choice that rises way about the other establishments in this area. We will be coming back again and again. read more

I walked in at 7:30 on a Thursday and asked the woman at the counter about the daily special. It was pork adobo. Yum! I told her I'll take it, she tells me there's no more. As a first timer, I couldn't decide what to eat. I regretfully ordered beef teriyaki and the woman turned to the chef, gave him a face that made me uncomfortable. The chef looked and me and made a face as well. WTH is going on??? I thought it was just me. I figured it was close to closing time and they just wanted to go home. Not the case, there were 4 other customers after me who were treated so nicely and friendly. They were offered samples of food and the woman was super chatty with everyone else. Whatever. I decided to go to a bar across the street to eat my take-out. I told everyone at the bar about this horrible experience. They were actually surprised. They all said good things about Roxy's. I showed them my dried old rice and they were shocked. My 1st Spam Musubi experience was here and it was HORRIBLE! You can tell the Musubi was just made since the rice was still very warm, but they made it with the rice from the bottom of the rice cooker. It was not edible. It was gross. The rice was so hard and old. My beef teriyaki was nothing spectacular...go figure since the chef gave me a look as if he hated me for ordering it. It does not deserve a 5 star rating. Food is just bleh. Also, $16 dollars for my order (I even tipped them an undeserving extra dollar) was more than I expected from a take-out restaurant. The pictures of the menu prices are incorrect, My beef teriyaki was $13.50, not $9 as it's posted on a picture of the menu. Never going there again. The people who work here are really nice and fast! The food however is very salty. :( I think it would be decent if it wasn't so salty, it gave me and my husband a stomachache. We ordered the Kalua pork with fried noodles and Mac salad. The pork was mostly what was salty and the fried noodles are good by themselves. My husband and I both just ordered take out from Roxy's. The recipes that are put together are wonderful and I have had one good food experience there so we decided to go back and have a few times including tonight. One consistency is a woman that works the register there clearly is not happy to be there. I'm apprehensive to even approach the counter because of the instantaneous "great, another customer" look both myself and my husband receive when we, and other customers walked in. We all know this is a trying time, but cmon this is someone's business. We're customers of this business. Second, to the grill guy burning the mocho loco patty to a crisp ( I think it was cooked on a grill then deep fried, but who knows ), please stop.
