    Orange Chicken Lunch Special
    Matthew B.

Came here on a whim when my girls were craving orange chicken and were hungry NOW. We were the only people at the restaurant when we walked in. This made me a little nervous but it was on the early side of lunch. The restaurant appeared clean and we were assisted quickly upon our arrival. We ordered the Orange Chicken and Kung Pow lunch specials to go. We we home and eating in 15 minutes. The orange chicken was pretty good, nothing special but pretty good. The breading held up with the sauce and wasn't soggy or chewy. The Kung Pow chicken was straight forward and had decent spiciness. The veggie/chicken ratio was good. The fried rice was good. The food we had was good and we would come again if in the area.

This restaurant very warm and friendly, and the service is particularly attentive. The sushi presentation and taste are great! I love so much!

Three and a half stars. We decided to go in and order take out for dinner. The restaurant is aesthetically lacking. There are only a few tables, seats around a conveyor belt for sushi, blue walls decorated with plastic sea animals, and piles of cardboard boxes along the back wall. We ordered lemon chicken, cashew pork, fried rice, egg foo young (which was not on the menu, but the staff accommodated our request), and potstickers. We sat down around the sushi conveyor belt while we waited for our food. We saw grapes, desserts, and a couple of sushi plates go around. I thought it was odd that it was prime dinner time, yet there were so few choices for in house diners. We also saw the same sushi plate travel around for the half hour plus we waited. I'm leery of how often the sushi is refreshed. We took our food home and enjoyed most everything, however, the lemon chicken had an unnatural yellow color, and my mother wished the egg foo young would have had more gravy. The rest of the food was good, and we especially liked the potstickers. Okay Chinese food, nervous about the sushi, but we'll give this place another visit.

Have you ever loved a restaurant so much that you send them Christmas cards? That is what Open Rice is to me... I found it on a whim and I order take out at least a couple times a month. It always taste so fresh and out together with intention and care. My husband is not a fan of sushi so the fact that they have a lot of Chinese dishes makes it so we can both enjoy a special meal together!

BBQ pork lunch special. Takeout only during covid so no soup.

Open Rice and Sushi is ok when you're in a pinch to get your Chinese chow fix, but we are so spoiled with great places in the Portland area. They focus on the American-Chinese style that is a bit too sweet and saucy (greasy) for my tastes. Take my review with a grain of salt as they have a sticker that says people on Yelp love them... Then again it was a bit worse for wear.

This afternoon, I was just looking for something to eat randomly. But the restaurant surprised me!!! I went into the restaurant with the idea of getting takeout to eat at home. However, when I entered, I saw food on their sushi belt, and the food looks quite fresh, so I changed my mind to eat in this restaurant. It has sushi, salad, Chinese dim sum and dessert... although there are not many people sit by the sushi belt at that time but the food keeping service so it is also very fresh. When I was full and asked for the bill, the waiter told me that it is happy hour now, and all the plates are counted as green plate's price $3.5 each! What a good deal!!! After talked with sushi chef, I know that their menu is still adding new stuff. Yes, I will come back to try the new products with my family and friends! The food is fresh, the service is attentive and the prices are fair. I highly recommend it.

Poor service, incompetent staff and incredibly long wait times. And to top it off the food was garbage. I don't recommend.

While surveying the midtown and downtown enclaves, I happened upon an establishment named Tada Sushi in the Midtown district. From the street, the exterior presentation appeared perfectly ordinary and understated. However, the initial arrival was entirely seamless, as the venue boasts an impressively large, dedicated parking lot allowing me to secure my vehicle with absolute peace of mind. While I initially anticipated a standard, routine sushi establishment, crossing the threshold revealed a thoroughly exciting atmosphere that far surpassed my modest expectations. The interior aesthetic is absolutely impressive, featuring a beautifully structured, intimate kitchen and bar area complemented by a curated selection of traditional Japanese spirits. The dining room was delightfully serene and peaceful, though I did note a few discerning patrons arriving with exclusive reservations. I escorted myself to an excellent, highly comfortable table, where the gentleman assisting me promptly poured a refreshing beverage. For my luncheon, I requested a crisp Margarita from the menu, followed by the Tempura Shrimp Udon. The waiter was an absolute credit to the establishment, extending a remarkably warm and genuinely welcoming greeting that I found immensely pleasing. The efficiency of the team was equally commendable; both my refreshment and the hot entrée were elegantly presented to my table within a swift ten minutes. The Udon was a complete triumph remarkably fresh, perfectly prepared, and an absolute treat. The seamless combination of elite hospitality, pristine execution, and effortless convenience has entirely won my favor. Tada Sushi is a magnificent sanctuary in Midtown Lake Oswego, and I shall most certainly be returning

Our group started with some bulgogi spring rolls, which were delicious and just enough to split between three people. I had the Super Dragon rolls with shrimp tempura and cucumber, and really enjoyed it. My friends both had bibimbap bowls and said they were delicious. Along with the shared spring rolls, it was a satisfying meal. They have great cocktails here, although their wine list is pretty basic and doesn't offer much in terms of variety and quality if you are a wine lover. I did love their Blackberry Gin-Gin Mule, however, and would love to come back to try more of their cocktails. They also have some mocktails that sound incredible. The space is small but not tiny; there's a decent amount of seating for couples or groups of 2-4 people. Our waitress was fantastic, and service was attentive and friendly. I would definitely come back!

There's either less than 10 plates on the belt or dozens, and if I sit there for an hour or so, not a single plate is inspected or removed allowing the sushi to become room temperature. With the mix of items available, at least 60-70% of the plates will be some weird fruit sushi or grapes. And if it's not something weird in the rolls like peanuts or fruit, it's filled with cream cheese. Today, the worst offense was how oily every plate was, the soy sauce tray bowls were greasy from not being cleaned properly and the salmon was oily from what I presume was unthawing. When I had touched the salmon, my fingers had a heavy slime on them and, while I chose to eat it, a fishy residue remained in my mouth and on my lips until I washed it off. With that, my stomach is almost always queasy after visiting. I know the prices are great, but this quality of sushi is bound to get someone sick and I would not recommend coming here at all.
