Pros and Cons! We had used Bill before and had been satisfied with his work. When our washer stopped spinning I had no hesitation calling him to come take a look. I keep his magnet on my washer, so I had quick access to his number. I got his voicemail and left a detailed message. I never heard back. After a week of not having use of our washer and not hearing back from Bill, and putting out a request on Next Door for washer repair recommendations, I decided to try WRM once more. This time I left a short terse message. Later that day I got a call from Bill. He apologized and said his voicemail had been giving him trouble and he was worried that he would be losing business because he was not actually getting messages. So I gave him the benefit of the doubt and we scheduled an appt. He is very personable as has been stated in other reviews. He told me how much it would cost, but did not say it was not worth repairing. So I paid the high price which was much less than having to buy a new washer. AFTER the repair was done he said the repair would last anywhere from 3 months to 3 years. Well if he had said this repair may only last 3 months in the first place, I would have opted to weigh my options of just buying new instead of investing in a pricey repair. To his credit, he said the next time it stops working don't even bother calling him, just buy a new one. I had left him alone to do his work in the laundry room. He came up when the work was done, showed me the bad part, left it for me in fact, I paid him and he left. Then I went down to the laundry room. YIKES!! What a mess!!! He made a huge mess and cleaned nothing up. Unacceptable in my opinion. Any repairman, handyman, etc that you let into your house to do work should clean up after themselves. Even people doing yard work outside I would expect to clean up after themselves. So I have very mixed feelings about WRM. He does good work. He's very messy. Prices seem high, but nothing current to compare it to. Should have questioned the worth of repair in the first place. Did tell me not to call him next time. So a solid 3 stars. read more

We needed our refrigerator serviced and got referred to them by several people in our area that had had wonderful service with them. My call was immediately answered by a friendly and professional technician. Even though my refrigerator model could not be serviced by them, he was very knowledgeable about the model and potential issues and explained them very patiently to me. He also referred me to a local technician who could help me, taking the time to google his number and give it to me over the phone. I then had a question about a convection oven that I just bought, and once again, he took the time to explain what needed to be done. Could not be happier with our experience. After our dryer started making a dreadful noise, we started researching local appliance repairmen. Few - if any - were rated as highly as WRM. I called, left a message, and Bill called me back within two hours. He was able to schedule me for the next day and arrived exactly when expected. I could not be more happy with my service from WRM Home Appliance and Repair. I had called two days before the 4th of July, when my fridge just stopped cooling and freezing. I made an appointment on the 5th and Bill was prompt with in the time window I had been given. He was friendly and knowledgable and was happy to show me what he was doing while trying o fix my fridge. Okay - so a bit of an odd review but wanted to drop my two cents here. Our LG Dishwasher stopped working and I reached out to WRM for a quote and when he called me back informed me he doesn't work on LG *dishwashers* (but he did say he potentially works on other LG appliances - except also no refrigerators). As he was the second appliance repair company to tell me that I asked out of frustration what the reasoning was and he took took time out of his day to explain to me why not, what could be going on, and gave advice on what we could do about our dishwasher situation. So while I cannot speak to cost, speed, etc, I can say that Bill is kind enough to give advice to someone who currently has dishes strewing her countertops due to a broken LG dishwasher, LOL. read more

This guy has one of the worst attitudes I have ever seen from a service professional. After one voicemail and one phone call, it was clear to me this was not someone I would ever want to give my business to, much less have in my home. He was incredibly rude and had a huge chip on his shoulder because I dared to ask for an appointment the next day (not knowing his schedule or thinking he may have a cancellation by chance). Bill was great to fix our broken ice maker. The Sears repairmen quoted more and suggested it might be a wash/ just better to buy a whole new refrigerator! He tracked down the issue and then gave us the bad news - it was a control board issue that would cost $375 to replace. With the cost of new dryers he suggested we just get a new one. Had our dryer go out with a newborn at home and called Warranty Service(HMS) on a Friday. They scheduled us on the following Monday which happened to be President's Day. The owner Mr. Mason came out(on time!!) and was incredibly pleasant and got the service done in a matter of a few minutes with a part replacement. After contacting a couple of seriously fly by night companies I found on Craig's List, and being cursed out by one jerk who gave me an approximate time and then made me wait for 4 1/2 hours, I called WRM. Later in the same day, Bill was at my door petting my cat all friendly and professional. He diagnosed an issue with my stove and my dryer in less than 10 minutes and fixed both. He then found why my dishwasher wasn't filling. Turns out the drain hose was broken and the previous tenant had just turned off everything. Now Bill is a professional appliance repair man not a plumber but Bill is a good guy and will do a little extra to help his clients. Bill drove to Home Depot, got the proper hose, came back, installed the hose like the pro he is and all is well with my appliances. Bill, thank you!
