Update: The Google review I made appears to have either been suppressed or mass reported & removed from their Google Listing. Following the posting of my review: Josh, the owner, texted me calling me a 'little child' and stated that I'm, 'probably autistic'. He also continued to threaten me stating that he'd like to, "countersue for defamation" & that I "publicly harassed [his] business." because I posted said review. I originally came to this shop because of how positive all of the google reviews were. Josh is a great sales person & talked great game. I was quoted $2,500 to have an OEM Toyota Circuit Edition hood & wing painted + installed with fender blending. Josh sold me on them, "mixing 3 batches of paint for a perfect paint match", that fender blending is required for a perfect match, and that they'd get the Hood + Wing installed perfectly. He sold me on this because he looked over my OEM Paint (with 7000 miles), nit-picking every most minute detail saying they're different colors between body panels, when they were otherwise imperceptible in direct sunlight, giving the impression that this is the level of detail that they would put into their own work. He even pointed to two Grey Audi's next to my car they had done work on saying to look at how perfect they got their paint matched.They instead turned the car around in 10-days in worse condition than it arrived, with staining/damages to plastics, an improperly installed hood & wing, and sub-par quality paint work performed. Timeline of events: - 3/20/24: Vehicle was dropped off. Car was to have an OEM Toyota Hood & Wing Installed. All parts & associated hardware + drilling templates were provided by me. These parts were all purchased via Toyota of Irving Parts Department. Hood & Wing were to both be paint matched with fender blending to, "insure a perfect match". - 3/26/24: I called the shop to inquire as to when I should expect my vehicle to be ready. Vanessa said the vehicle would be ready the following day. - 3/27/24: I inspected the, 'finished' vehicle. Showed Katrina the inadequate quality of work & deficiencies. She agreed with my criticism & said that she'd agree to have the work redone properly. She told me to hold off on posting a negative review and to, "give them a chance to make it right". I agreed & left the car in their care once again. I spoke plainly & calmly the entire time. I never raised my voice nor used profanity when interacting with any employees. - 3/30/24: Josh, the owner, drove my vehicle to my house (within 5 minutes from their shop off Ohio/Mapleshade in Plano). I immediately inspected the vehicle once again & pointed out all the inadequacies per my bullet point list below & supporting photographic evidence. He agreed with what I was saying & agreed to return the vehicle at $0 cost due to, "dissatisfaction of paint match & quality". Attached are images of the following; - In my opinion, it appears as though the hood wasn't removed during repainting process (you can see a hard cut with a dark edge on the hood showing completely different colors of under-tray vs top of hood.). - Staining was left on the windshield shroud & under-hood plastics. - Hood Misalignment. - Swirl / Scratch marks left on the fresh paint on the hood. - Fish-eyes on the wing. - Hardened wax flung on the body & left in body panel gaps. - Wing being held by the stanchion clips & 3M tape rather than the 3 bolts needing holes drilled into the trunk-lid as required by OEM (picture attached showing service hatch exposed where the 3 bolt holes are meant to be drilled attaching wing to trunk-lid + picture showing center section 'blade' of wing pulling off trunk-lid due to improper mounting.). They ultimately returned the car this way at $0 cost; though, I can't in good faith recommend this place to anyone due to my own personal experience. However, Katrina & Vanessa were both great to work with, and Josh at least was a man of his word & didn't charge anything. However, I'm now in the process of having an alternative shop fix all the damages caused, and have the paint + body work redone entirely & properly. read more

Getting in a car wreck sucks. Getting in a car wreck and paying some outrageous deductible sucks even more. I took my Mazda CX-5 here for hail damage and hit/run claim processed through my insurance and i'm thoroughly satisfied with the results. I kept procrastinating on the repairs because i was worried about having to come out of pocket for 2 separate claims; but i got lucky enough to find Josh at Royal Auto Body who covered my deductible. I can't express how amazing Royal Auto body Repair is. From Katrina helping me with the claim. She did all the work with the insurance agency. I dropped the car off and was in a rental car immediately. I didn't worry about a thing. Right after getting this vehicle there was a hail storm that put it $400 under a total loss. Needless to say it needed a lot of work. I had a shattered front windshield, ruined sunroof, broken mirrors, and so much body damage it didn't look like a camaro anymore. The owner, Josh, and his team did an amazing job making my car look new again. Josh went above and beyond to make sure that the car looked new. After painting it he wasn't personally happy with the way one section looked. He took it upon himself to redo it. I've sent 4 people to him and they have all received back cars looking better than what they were before any damages. I don't think my car looked this nice before the hail storm. I wrecked my car with $1000 deductible I would never be able to afford. After a year of trying was getting ready to sell at a loss and get pennies for my car. I had been approached by quite a few people wanting to do the repairs saying they would take care of my deductible, but I was reluctant. Then, I met Josh from Royal Auto Body. Not sure what I was getting into, something told me to just roll with Royal. Oh my gosh, I am so glad I did! Not only did Josh make my car look brand new again, he fixed a few other things, including a botch job my dealership did on a door replacement, with no charge! By the way, have you ever had your car returned to find something missing that you forgot to take with you? We have all seen those signs saying, "Not responsible for valuables left in car." I left a tote bag with lots of gift cards and jewelry and it remained untouched. So, I have my car back as if it was brand new and a place I can trust. .Do not use Royal Auto Body in Frisco or Carrollton. Geieco paid them $8500 to replace both Drivers Side Doors and the Bed on that side. Also paid for a new review mirror. Neither door was replaced. Bed was not replaced. Side mirror was used and 2 left in back seat from junk yard. Had adjuster go out and verify before I would pick up My dodge 2017 Truck. Now my truck appraised for $5000 less because of the Work that was not performed. His excuse is he doesn't have to replace parts with what insurance says because he pays your deductible. read more

This review is way past due, but better late then never! Royal Auto Body is a fantastic company! My Dodge Dart was wrecked, and I was approached by Josh in a parking lot, and he told me that I could get great work done without paying my deductible. I thought it was too good to be true, but after speaking with the owner, he assured me that there was no gimmick. The only small issue I had was with all of the body work done to my vehicle, one headlight was not plugged in. I took my vehicle back, and they fixed it immediately. Customer service was great anytime I called to check the status of my vehicle as well. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone needing great bodywork, but without worrying about a deductible! read more

OMG! I had a horrific experience. Royal Autobody has mess up my vehicle. All these positive reviews are BS. It's my fault though. After the worst hail storm I have experienced earlier this year in McKinney, Tx., there was this flyer on my vehicle. I should have known something was wrong when I couldn't get the flyer out of my window. They shoved it so deep down inside there I got the top of it out but the bottom was so far down I couldn't get it, first clue. Royal Autobody Repair was the name, and no deductible was the game. My deductible is only $200, so trying to save $200 ended up costing me the $200 and permanent damage to my vehicle. They had my vehicle over a month. The rental for my insurance was for only a month which I didn't know. I ended up paying $184 for the rental. There goes the $200 dollars I thought I was saving. Plus the gas I used driving 30 minutes to the shop twice. I went to pick it up and noticed how it was not the type of place I would l have gotten my vehicle repaired. I had it towed there so that was my first time seeing the place, first mistake. When I saw my vehicle, I could see every spot where they used the touch up paint and it wasn't smooth so you can clearly see the areas the touch up paint was used. Yet when I would call to see when it would be ready they said oh we had to paint so its takes a couple of days to dry, like they painted the whole vehicle was how they made it sound. Then there was some white chips in spots all over my vehicle that looked like powder that was mixed into the paint. They was a few of them on my vehicle. They told me it would come out when I washed it, never came out. More permanent damage. So I got touch up paint and white spots mixed in the paint which is all permanent. Then when I looked from the side I noticed there was still hail damage. They told me to bring it back and they would smooth over the touch ups and get the dents out that was still there. Smoothing over the touch ups never happened. They did get almost all the dents out that were still left, but not all, more permanent damage. I pay a hefty car note and I don't like all these bump and white spot on my vehicle. Beside the hail, it was worse that when I brought it in there, and charged my insurance almost $10,000. I was just disgusted with myself for doing something stupid like that when I could have taken it to a company my insurance company suggested, paid the $200 and had no problems. And now since its cold, and they replaced the windshield, I have frost on the inside of the window also, not just the outside. So apparently they didn't put the windshield in tight enough or something. If u have a decent vehicle and pay a hefty car note I would strongly suggest don't take your vehicle there. You will end of with more problems than u did when u took it there. And also that white powdery looking substance that's in my paint, it also was on the inside of my vehicle. It has stripped some of the color from the inside so the inside has damage. I'm so done with myself. Don't get your vehicle towed to a place u never seen before and let them repair it, it will be a nightmare. I will post pics at another time, I just got off from work and decided to this review to prevent someone else from going through what I went through. All those positive reviews are bogus unless they took all the bad reviews off. But if mines is taken off I will be on everyday to put it back on to warn everyone. read more
