My two sons train here regularly, and whenever my schedule allows, I enjoy dropping in for classes myself. From day one, we've felt welcomed as part of the Sanuk family. What truly sets Sanuk apart is its inclusive and supportive culture. Students of all ages, experience levels, and backgrounds are treated with respect and encouraged to grow at their own pace. "Its an old system" "King Kullen (landlord) refuses to fix it" All complete nonsense. Any landlord legally must fix a broken AC. Do they go buy fans? LA Fitness closed so months back enrollment went thru the roof, now all the college kids are back, when HS is out it will be a complete mess. So they have the money from all the new enrollment, its simply them being cheap. Go ANYWHERE but here. You will be DRIPPING SWEAT as soon as u walk in!!! I'll remove this IF they ever fix it....they wont.

The coaches/teachers/professors are great with young kids. We were visiting from out of state for a…read moreweek and they were gracious enough to let my 5 year old join. Everyone was amazed that we were able to find a drop-in gym for kids, but these guys made it no big deal. They were communicative via email, welcoming upon arrival, and even recommended a more suitable class for my kid. Many of the parents also practice and from what I've seen, the teachers know what they're doing. They use humor to engage the kids, never screaming or forcing them. We would happily join this gym again if we're ever in the area.

Though I did not find Professor André through Yelp, I wanted to help you, the Yelpers decision easier. He's an excellent instructor to everyone of all ages. The moment you meet him, his personality and love to teach shines through. I mean, it's kept me engaged for three years. In fact, I travel from NYC all the way to Great Neck to continue my training with Professor André and his students (every opportunity I get). So if you're looking for the right place to train, have your children train, and want a person fully invested in all of his students, there's no need to look any further. Just look at all the photos on his Yelp page...including the ones I've uploaded shows he is the real deal. This is such a great school. I've never had background of any martial art, so this would be a…read morefirst for me. Professor Carlos is very knowledgeable and a great instructor. He teaches both youth and adult classes, which is awesome to see how many young kids can kick ass! There are other Coaches who teach and gladly willing to help you, along with your fellow classmates. Every student here that attends classes is SO friendly. It's really a great atmosphere. I couldn't have been happier to have joined GBNB. Free first class if you want to check it out! HIGHLY recommended!
