Those are some pretty good lobster rolls. The bun is so delicious and mmm mmm mmm! That lobster is cooked to perfection! I will definitely be returning. Parking is limited.

Got the popular roll and lobster bisque and it was absolutely delicious! This place is so cute. Service was great. Definitely coming back.

This place truly blows me away. Probably some of the best and freshest lobster rolls that I've had hear in L.A. Sure, it's expensive, but you're paying for quality lobster that has been shipped from Maine. It's in what looks like a former gas station from the 90s or something, which gives this place some charm as well. I honestly still think about how great this place is and can't wait to come back for my lobster treat. They have parking spots and outdoor seating, making it a great day to explore some delicious food in L.A.

I've been meaning to come try the lobster rolls here for a while and I finally had the opportunity, and it did not disappoint! There's about two parking spots in the "lot" but otherwise you can find nearby street parking. There is also really cute indoor and outdoor seating available for dining there! Brian was super helpful when we were placing our order, the food came out really quickly, and he also came back to check on how our meal was going and if we needed any of our sides refilled (chips or coleslaw). I ordered the 5oz lobster roll, and I felt like that was a good amount of lobster stuffed into the fluffy brioche bun. The flavor was SO fresh and very clean, just delicious lobster and butter. The coleslaw had good crunch and brightness, that pairs nicely with the richness of the lobster roll. If you're a lobster roll fan, I highly suggest coming here! It might not be an every week kind of sandwich because quality lobster is more expensive (and worth it!) but it is currently my number one spot for lobster rolls in LA!

I had a amazing lunch here at Royal lobster the server was really great and the lobster roll is amazing!! I will recommend this place to all my friends. It's a bit on the pricey side but the portions are good

So apparently, this is a LOBSTER ROLL shop from Hawaii. Even if it wasn't, it's still worth a visit because their lobster roll is GREAT! The brioche roll is fluffy and generously buttered. The lobster is in fairly large chunks -- large enough to be recognizable. Seems like it's even a whole small lobster too. Also got the LOBSTER SALAD which was delicious. Especially for a salad. But really, if you're not worried about the calory counting, you should really eat the lobster roll instead. It took a moment to figure out where to order, who to order from. But you go to the "gas station" part of the shop and not the "garage" to order. Then you wait or sit at one of the outdoor tables or choose an indoor one inside the "garage" and someone will bring you your order.

Yup - it's worth the hype! And yes, it's pretty pricey but it's high quality lobster so it's worth it. We had the lobster roll, the bread it came was so tasty. The lobster didn't have any sauce or Mayo on it but the natural flavor of the lobster was delicious. Easy parking. They have both indoor and outdoor seating. The service was very good!

Over all my experience at royal lobster la was okay, the food was very overpriced for what it was 40+ $! And over all we spent 180 for 4 plates and overall really really basic with it being way to buttery and gave me a headache, as of the service it was okay because it was only one lady working and it took her pretty fast id say (5 minutes) , as of the place itself it was very very small with my family having to push two tables together and only had outside seating and only had outdoor seating and it was a small ran shack and they had some decorative things around the shack. So u would not come back to royal lobster la again.

Royal Lobster LA serves up the best lobster rolls I've had on the West Coast -- no contest. The lobster is incredibly fresh, tender, and full of flavor, packed into a perfectly toasted roll with a rich, garlicky aioli that ties it all together. The location adds to the charm -- it's tucked inside a converted old gas station, which gives it a cool, one-of-a-kind feel. The owner is super friendly and clearly takes pride in what he's serving, which makes the experience even better. Every visit has been consistently excellent, and it's one of those spots I'll keep coming back to again and again.

Cute place that used to be a gas station! Service was friendly-- they offered to cut the lobster roll in half since we were sharing. We got the 5 ounce lobster roll which was buttery and the side sauce adds additional flavor. It comes with Kirkland chips.

Worth the price! For some random reason I woke up craving a lobster roll and decided if I was going to do it, I might as well try one of the best in LA. A quick Yelp search pointed me straight to Royal Lobster LA, and I'm glad it did. When you arrive, you'll notice it's set up in a charming little repurposed vintage gas station with outdoor seating--perfect for soaking up that classic LA sunshine while you eat. You order right at the table where the menu lists all the roll sizes and sides. I went with the 5 oz roll and honestly, it was the perfect choice. Not too small, not overwhelmingly big--just the right amount to leave me full and happy. I also added the lobster bisque, which was delicious. The best surprise? Two chunky pieces of lobster waiting at the bottom of the bowl. That alone made me smile. I'd definitely come back again--next time I might go big with the largest roll and maybe try the salad too. Because once the lobster craving hits... you kind of just have to follow through.

    Lobster Roll with Cold Bread

It's cool that they use fresh lobster instead of frozen. I can't tell it makes that big of a difference though. The bread is cold and not toasted like other places do it. It is also served with potato chips which in my opinion is a huge letdown. I'd much prefer French fries. The Cole slaw is very mayonnaisey but in all honesty the lobster roll is what we came for. The whole thing just seems sorta mid. The temperature isn't right. The man working there were fine. He wasn't overly nice and definitely was not rude in anyway. Just took my order and that was the end of it. Ambience is on the side of a busy street in what feels like a regular street in LA. It can be noisy from cars and the people passing by can vary depending on if you come in the day or night. We came at night and felt a little unsafe due to some people around.

This place is a hidden gem you need to try. On the outside it looks like a gas station because they took over an old one and kept the style. Pretty cool. Anyway, the worker told us they fly in fresh Maine lobster, and you can absolutely taste the difference -- sweet, tender, and perfectly chilled. It's the real deal! I ordered the 7oz roll and it was well worth the price. The roll is packed generously and served the classic way: lightly dressed to let the lobster shine, with a buttery, toasted bun that's just the right balance of crisp and soft. Honestly, it's right up there with the best roll I tried near Boston many many years ago. Give them a try!

Once you get your food, you'll need to find your own seat somewhere in the food court, which can be a little chaotic when it's busy. The seafood was definitely the highlight for me. Everything tasted really fresh, bright, and limey which worked perfectly with the tacos. The citrus and acidity kept the seafood tasting light and refreshing, while the toppings and sauces added enough flavor without overpowering the main ingredients. I really enjoyed the tacos and liked how clean and fresh everything tasted. It's a nice change from heavier, more traditional taco spots, especially if you're in the mood for seafood. Overall, the setup is a little unconventional, but the food is absolutely worth it. I'd definitely come back for the seafood tacos, especially when I'm craving something fresh, citrusy, and flavorful.
