    Chicken Pasta Salad.
    Cierra W.

Anahi was a great a great server and was well-versed on the menu. As always, the food was delicious the best or is that you come late at night and it's still fresh. Get the pasta!!

First off, this spot has no tables just a few benches where you can sit and wait for your order. Orders are taken by a staff member who walks around, which is a bit different. The sandwich was generously sized, but unfortunately it lacked flavor. I requested no mayo, and without it the sandwich tasted very bland; no salt, pepper, or noticeable seasoning. Sandwiches are also made with chicken breast meat, not fried or grilled. They do offer ranch on the side, but since the sandwich is cold, it mostly just tastes like ranch rather than enhancing the overall flavor. They also offer the same items in bowl form. Parking is convenient, with a lot located nearby.

I ordered through DoorDash. The Chinese Chicken Salad is good; it's all in the dressing (I ordered a bottle). They also add pasta to the salad, not sure why, it doesn't add anything to the salad. If I order again, I would remove the pasta. The Roasted Chicken is very flavorful and juicy, although for the price, I should have received better pieces. The food is good, but the price difference between CCC and DoorDash is insane. I would think they would offer better prices because we have to pay service fees and tip through DoorDash. Will I order again? Probably because the food was good.

I love Calif Chicken Cafe! I love the California chicken cafe salad and the whole chicken itself! The chicken is juice and so flavorful! I love their order online and drive up pick up. It's very convenient and service is top notch!

Love CCC, this location was really cute with quick service Anahi was a pleasure to order with, will be back!

Caesar Wrap. I substitute the pita croutons for sourdough croutons & I add Parmesan cheese. Thank me later. 9/10

Fresh, flavorful, and always hits the spot! The rotisserie chicken is perfectly marinated and juicy, and their sides are chef's kiss -- the broccoli pasta, mashed potatoes with gravy, and veggie rice never miss. The Café Caesar Salad is my ultimate fave -- creamy dressing, crunchy sourdough croutons, and a portion so big I still don't share. My mom's obsessed with the Chinese Chicken Salad, and honestly, I get it. They even added avocado to the Caesar Wrap (my go-to!) and I can't wait to try it. Heads up: takeout only, cashless, and classic DTLA parking struggle -- but the food? 100% worth it.

I love coming here for a quick salad. I love the Chinese chicken salad or the Caesar's salad. You can get a side salad which is still fairly big for half the cost of a regular sized salad. I love how fast and easy it is to order here and take it to go!

The vegan crunch wrap is amazing! It's a great size and for the same price as Chipotle I would much rather go here. I've had it twice and can say I really love it. This is a grab and go location. There are benches to sit down, but no tables.

This CCC location is in DTLA, and it's a takeout only place. I've tried a few of their popular items, overall it's just fine, and honestly not the best CCC quality. GREEN GODDESS SALAD - ** vegan option, lettuce, spinach, avocado, purple cabbage, radish, cucumber, sprouts, lemon, sourdough croutons, and side Green Goddess dressing, the dressing was great although greens weren't as fresh with quite noticeable rotten leaves OUT WEST SALAD - **** southwest salad with white meat chicken, avocado, black beans, roasted corn, jack cheese, red peppers, pita croutons, and side chipotle dressing, tasty with dressing, recommend BROCCOLI PASTA SALAD - **** broccoli, pasta, ranch, and Italian dressing pasta salad, recommend SEASONAL FRUIT SALAD - ** seasonal fruits, melon, strawberry, pineapple, grapes, not so freshman CHOC CHUNK - *** chunky, soft texture CHEWY COCO-NUT - *** chocolate chunks, coconut, and macadamia nuts

How is the chicken? Dry? Juicy? Mediocre?

The chicken is like a pulled pork only it is chicken. There are no spices and I think it is rotisserie chicken as the ingredient. It is not dry and has a nice flavor.

    Is there outdoor seating?

Yes but it's not open at the moment, they are using it as a place to place and pick up orders

If we'd known the sandwich came with a side salad we probably wouldn't have ordered a whole 'nother salad, but the farmers market salad was so good I'm glad we did! I also got an iced latte, which really hit the spot. The friendly and efficient staff expertly handled the crowds, which was sizable. It remains a unique addition to the neighborhood, as well as a good place to grab some interesting dishes. Since the opening of this particular business, the Zinc chain has opened in a few other locations. Those locations are much newer in not only their establishment but their design. This is not to say that this is still not an interesting, well-designed business, but, with time, it has become a little bit rundown. I hate to say it, but that is the truth. This location could really use an update and perhaps a deep cleaning. I was, in fact, kind of surprised at the condition of this business, for example, on the way towards their restrooms. From my opinion, it needs an clean up and an update. Also, the litter that surrounded some of the outdoor tables where I was sitting at my most recent visit was very surprising. This is just something to keep in mind if you're coming here for your first visit. In terms of what they offer for food, though it has evolved a bit over the years, they still have a great, heath-based menu, with some very interesting choices. For all of you vegetarians and vegans out there, you will, for sure, be able to find some tasty food to eat. Once upon a time, this restaurant was impacted with tons and tons of people. It was constantly full with people either going to the bakery and/or sitting down for table service. Shortly past their opening each day, there would be a line of people waiting for service. This seems to have changed, however. Meaning, if you're looking for an interesting place to eat, with some good dishes, at the far Southeast side of DTLA, near the lofts district, and you want a place without a long wait to get a table and/or your food, this may still be your place to go.

We could understand that it was busy but the waitress never apologized or said anything like they were understaffed or anything. Also, we had a few questions about the menu and our drinks and the waitress would just say, "I think so?" or give a vague answer. She didn't seem very knowledgeable about the menu at all. Maybe she was new, but clearly training was lacking. I don't think I'll be returning but since I see many reviews relating to service issues, hopefully management is able to address the deficit

When I first visited, it took me a minute to find the cafe, but thankfully street parking was fairly easy to find on the Sundays that I visited. The tart was exquisite with a brûléed top though the flabby bacon texture lessened my enjoyment of the sandwich. I ended up enjoying the smoked trout dish more than the sandwich on a subsequent visit, and it was fun mixing the flavors of the huckleberry compote with the dill, trout, and hash browns. In contrast to my first visit, the passion fruit tart was somewhat a miss; though the tart slice is studded with passion fruit seeds on top, the main flavor underlying the tart is a sweet custard. I'm happy I got one of their doughnuts filled with vanilla custard to go as that was the better pastry experience compared to the passion fruit tart.
