MIXT (est 2019) of Silver Lake is a casual healthy farm fresh vegan restaurant located on Sunset blvd. They offer salads, sandwiches, and grain bowls. They have ample free parking on site and curbside delivery from the MIXT Salad Valet™. I have driven past by this spot for years but never got the chance until now. I like their breadth of vegan food items on their menu as well as customize-make your own. Its interior was chic, naturally well lit, neat and clean. Furthermore, its layout is spacious with high ceiling and few wall art decor over their large white walls. I was ebulliently greeted by a female staff with gentle eyes. After perusing the MIXT menu, I ordered a fresh lemonade and BBQ bowl which is composed of cilantro, brown rice, black beans, apple fennel slaw, cheddar, roasted potatoes, and crispy onions. Food was tasty, fresh and delightful. Drink was refreshing. Service was spot on. Staff were cordial. Atmosphere was chill. Prices were economically competitive. Food serving was abundant. I hate salads that I make so I love a good salad someone else makes. Are there fancier salad places than Mixt? Yes. But the reason THIS place got 5 stars is because 1. The service is always awesome (most recent visit was quiet Saturday morning and I dropped an order and grabbed coffee and came back my order was perfectly done); the staff asked me three quick questions (dressing amount, allergies) and got to work! HARDLY ANYONE has common sense in the service industry in LA anymore! Also, parking is nice and easy. Will I order mixt elsewhere, MAYBE because this place has given me such a good impression. Have never been disappointed here. Everything is fresh, and besides the fried chicken, it's healthy. As long as you go light with the dressing. And the juices are also very good. Great displays of lettuces and toppings. A few tables with napkins and silverware availble to use. Along with a self help water dispenser. Always a lot of delivery folks running through here. A salad lover's paradise!!!!! I stopped by after getting a matcha from picnic coffee (right next door). I built my own salad and oh my gosh it was so good!!! The amount you get for the price is sooo worth it. I was more than satisfied! I got a mixture of romaine, mixt greens, and arugula. You get 5 toppings and I chose cauliflower, sweet potato, tomatoes, green onions, and corn. I got to sample some dressings (walnut pesto, fly by jing chili, and miso ginger) and ended up choosing the miso ginger. I have to give immense props to Katia, the staff member who helped me, as she was so very helpful and so hospitable and kind!! It was my first time at MIXT and she made that experience so wonderful. The space is very clean and nice and they have outdoor seating as well! You can get your salad for there or to go. I paid less than $15 before tip for a very generous salad!!!! A solid place for some decent salad. I don't necessarily think they are healthy with all the dressing and whatnot, but it tastes good and seems fresh. I have been to other places to customize your own salad, and MIXT is not much different, to be honest. The banner saying 'LA's Best Salad' is what made me want to try this place. There are numerous options to choose from that are all pre-set with healthy greens, nuts, and indeed proteins for some, but you can always make your own salad with whatever you like. I got a seasonal salad, Spicy Brussels, and it was pretty good. Little pieces of avocado were great, as they made it more creamy, and the texture of crunchy pumpkin seeds was surely pleasing. I had some pieces of veggies that were not supposed to be in mine, but I assume they just fell in while being prepared at the same time as other salads. I was really full after finishing the entire salad, and it did not leave me too heavy, which is always a plus. You can also adjust the amount of salad dressing, and I always go light since I do not fancy salad drenched in dressing. You can also get a piece of bread (as pictured) at no extra cost if you ask. I came here because I live nearby and was looking for something similar to Honest Greens in Barcelona. I ordered the Falaf 2.0, which had a lot of potential but ultimately fell short--the falafel, which was the only protein in the bowl, was extremely dry. The flavors were there, but the texture made it hard to enjoy. My wife got the Puebla and had the same issue with the chicken being very dry. Overall, we both felt the dishes were lacking in flavor, and the salads were pretty simple for the price point. I really wish I could find something like Honest Greens here and was hoping this might be it, but unfortunately it's nothing like it--and there was nothing special about this place to return. read more

I found this place on Uber Eats and decided to try it out because the selection of salad dressings looked really great. I was super pleasantly surprised at how much I ended up loving the salad! I got a custom one and mixed Caesar dressing with their lemon tahini drizzle and it was incredible. All the ingredients tasted fresh and the portion size was pretty good. Definitely found my new favorite salad place. The only complaint I'd have is that the crispy chicken wasn't really crispy. I understand I got mine delivered but it's only a 15 minute drive so I don't feel like it should have gotten that soggy so quickly. Flavor was fine but it could have been better if it didn't taste like it had been sitting out for a while before being placed on the salad. DYO Salad for me today because I was really craving steak but didn't want to get the Bachelor salad again. It's so fun and easy to customize that I ended up going a little crazy with the toppings: roasted cauliflower, fennel, golden beets, pickled red onions, butternut squash, edamame, cucumbers, carrots, tomatoes, and avocado on a bed of mixt greens and butter lettuce. The Mixt Crispy sandwich was sadly a bit smaller than I expected but the size and taste of the chicken were still pretty good. The Crispy Cauliflower is the underdog of this restaurant. You would never think that a side deserves to have the spotlight but the seasoning on this is superior especially when paired with the sriracha ranch. It's super easy to order in person since all the ingredients are laid out for you but I ended up using the app to customize it this time and pick up was a very easy process. I've been trying to eat better (who hasn't haha) and so I stopped by here because I was in the area for something. The best salad in LA banner is mostly a gimmick because nothing stood out to me; it just reminds me of sweetgreens. I came for lunch so parking in their lot was easy. You order, they assemble. I got Dave's taco bowl which I knocked off a star because it was really heavy on rice and less so in leafy greens. I know it's a rice bowl, but it was a lot more rice than I expected without as many vegetables than I would like. It was also pretty sauce heavy, but that was on me for not asking for a lighter amount (although I'm used to sweetgreens where they do ask). Best part was the chicken. When I wanted to order Mixt for pickup, I saw that they prefer that we order directly from the restaurant. I jumped through all the hoops of ordering online and then had to make an account (ridiculous!) give them my email, phone number, BIRTHDAY, in order to buy a salad? Two factor authentication?? Insane. Then I finally get to the page where I am supposed to be able to complete the order. Guess what - it's stuck loading. It's frozen. I close & open the page. Every time I go to my "cart", the same thing happens. There is no way for me to complete the order on the website. There's no way to call the restaurant and make an order. And all the prices are higher on third party apps. So. If you're going to make people go through all the trouble of ordering online, your website should really be working properly. After wasting 20 minutes of my life that I will never get back, I ended up giving up ordering at another restaurant because there was no way I was going to pay extra for this terrible experience. Good lord. This really put me off - I never have ordered from Mixt before & will never do so now! Finally I tried to reach out to customer service, typing this paragraph into the online form. Customer service is horrible. I ordered salads for pick up and couldn't make it before closing due to a personal emergency. I tried reaching out via MIXT chat system / email and received a message from a customer service agent the next day who wasn't very helpful. She basically told me the rules and that I couldn't cancel my same day order without taking into account my personal circumstances. And she didn't give me an option for a refund or to still pick up my order that was already made the previous evening (maybe they tossed it?). I agree with previous reviews that state you can't call them and they just basically take your money. And I also agree when ordering delivery they often forget to include the dressing with my previous orders. I won't be ordering anymore sadly. read more

They sent me a salad with no dressing and I had to throw away a $30 dry salad and the only thing I'm told from the store is we'll email you back in 24 hours. No thank you. Needless to say I was super excited to try one of their gourmet salads--they have color coded ways of showing which menu options are vegetarian and or vegan. They also serve meat here. There are three dedicated vegan salads on their menu; keep in mind anything can be veganized and they have a build your own option. I ordered the Be well Salad that had mixed greens, avocado, chickpeas, quinoa, lentils, and a cilantro jalapeño vinaigrette with added tofu. Everything was so fresh and I could not wait to make it disappear!! I really appreciated the mixed greens as the leaves were very dark in color (full of beta carotene and fiber) and quinoa being a complete protein. The chickpeas and lentils were filling. The fresh herbs and scallions were so tasty also a nice touch; the cilantro jalapeño vinaigrette was fire. I have came a few times for the Be Well salad, and I would like to try something new next time. I have my eyes on Nameste, Falaf, and or design your own option.
