I went at 11am on a Saturday. Waited about 17 mins for my sandwich. The wait aside, the sandwich was delicious. I got the verde and really loved it. I ate it at home and added balsamic glaze which elevated my dining experience. There are a few veggie options here so I would go back to try the funghi and Nutella. Also really cool how there's a board that will display your name when your order is ready!

This was my first time trying Sandough, and I actually got it delivered by Uber Eats. I was pleasantly surprised by the cute packaging, and they even included a little keychain! The food itself was also very good. I loved the concept of this store, and it did not disappoint. The Chicken Milanese is like if you had a chicken Parmesan on a pizza, and the Chicken Caesar is actually really good Caesar salad in pizza form. I would've liked the chicken itself to have been seasoned a little more, but the rest of the toppings definitely carry the sandwiches. Overall, would get again whenever I have a craving for this!

Discovered this place from Instagram and had to give them a try. I ordered online and picked up my order once it was ready. To me that was convenient and ready on time as promise. The atmosphere is very chill and has a lot of sitting area. The staff was friendly and attentive. I personally enjoyed the Caesar sandough. Very tasty and fresh to order. I'd give it a 9 out of 10. The pastrami was also a hit. 10 out of 10 was given to that one. Worth checking them out.

The name perfectly represents what they serve, sandwich with pizza dough. Frankly that's genius out of the box idea, who won't fancy eating pizza in a handheld form, and most importantly their offerings of toppings are pretty rich and highly varied. It's a big dining space with a nice patio at the back. The iconic board on top of the order point will display your name once your dining order is ready. We got 1 of each their hot and cold sandough selections. We opted for Mortadella from the cold one, which featured straciatella cheese and pistachio bits, making luscious trio with the protein. The hot Straccetti deserved a chef-kiss, melted provolone paired to juicy and flavorful skirt steak. Oofff SO SO GOOD AND TASTY, certainly have to be on your top list if you're a first timer here.

Sandough delivery order! This was yummy and I think this is best eaten warm or fresh. I will have to come in person next time. My first impression on taste via delivery wasn't the best, but Straccetti is the more worth it one and I would get this again via delivery. The Parma - 4/5 - didn't really meet my expectation, but the flavor was still solid and if I didn't like anything else on the menu I would get this one. But I couldn't go out of my way for this. Straccetti - 5/5 I would 100% get this one again! the flavor was perfect, the way the steak, onion, cheese & glaze melted together in one bite - this was memorable. And it stayed warm even via delivery. if it was this good after a bit of wait, I can only imagine how good it is fresh. I'm a bit sad that I didn't get a picture of this when I inhaled it. Nutella - 4/5 - good, not that impressive BUT it will help with those with sweet cravings. Delivery - it was fast, I imagine the staff worked rapidly to get this out the door. I was surprise by the delivery speed. And the packing is solid. I can tell they made sure the sticker was on the bag.

Hidden gem on Melrose! I tried The Verde (Fiore de Latte Mozzarella, Heirloom Tomato & Pesto and its $14) and it was fantastic. The dough is perfectly chewy with a crisp outside, and the fresh mozzarella, tomatoes, and pesto made every bite flavorful. You order, wait, and pick up your food hot and fresh as you dine or take it to-go. Portion is just right for one, or share if you're not super hungry. The vibe is relaxed, making it a great spot for a quick, satisfying meal. Will definitely be back to try more of their menu.

We go the chicken marinara and the Cesar salad Sando. Marinara and chicken was ok but the Cesar threw us off In the picture it looks nice and fresh but when we got it for pick up it looked as it they baked everything with it. There was no flavor no sauce very bland and warm lettuce. A little disappointed. Def will come back and try other ones though

Very nice touch on the pizza bread for the sandwiches! I ended up trying Chicken Milanese sandwich. The pizza bread was slightly crispy on the outside and perfect pillowy on the inside. The chicken was freshly fried, covered by bread crumbs, melted cheese and their special sauce. It tasted pretty good, was juicy but I felt that it needed a bit more of their sauce for additional flavor, so I got a side of it. The design of the place is contemporary-industrial, with an exposed brick wall and some cool industrial light fixtures. The customer service was very welcoming and efficient. Will come back again to try another sandough!

The food was so delicious! Employees were nice and engaging with customers even through a rush. The food tasted so fresh and even though a little pricey, I can understand why.

Saw this place in a YouTube short and it looked amazing. We ordered the Pastrami and it did not disappoint. The bread is baked fresh and the pastrami is juicy! I shared this with a friend and we were satisfied. There is no doubt I could eat a whole sandwich and more! But I wouldn't be able to walk...lol. The service is fast and friendly but expect to wait as this place is popular. Ambiance is casual and they offer beer, aguas frescas, and sodas to drink. Will definitely be back! We really liked @eatsandough!

Pizza dough for sandwich bread? Genius! We ordered the steak sandough, chicken Caesar sandwich sandough, and Nutella dessert sandough. All were delicious but the best was definitely the Chicken Caesar Salad!

Chef Frankie Guerrero in the saucing issue.

Came in about 20 minutes after opening, and we were probably only the third group there. We were excited to try the three sandwiches we ordered, so we definitely didn't expect an almost 40-minute wait, especially before the lunch rush had even started. Thankfully they had WiFi, but the wait still felt unreasonable considering there were only one or two parties ahead of us. As we waited, it became pretty clear that online orders were being prioritized over dine-in customers. Once the food arrived, the sandwiches were good overall. We had ordered the Parma, Pastrami and the Chicken Milanese. However, the Chicken Milanese was noticeably dry and barely had any sauce. When I asked for extra sauce, I was told I would need to buy it. I mentioned that, given the excessive wait, it seemed reasonable to provide some sauce free of charge, but I was again told no by the lady working the kitchen. I even showed the video comment where Chef Frankie Guerrero addresses this exact issue and that was dismissed too. At that point, I asked if Chef Frankie Guerrero was there so I could speak to him directly. Only then did they finally give me a small container of sauce but without answering the question. The whole interaction felt unnecessary and uncomfortable, especially since the sauce itself is not even listed on the menu. That said, the place has a nice vibe and a lot of potential. The front staff was friendly, but the woman working in the kitchen came across as unnecessarily rude and dismissive. If they want repeat customers, the customer service side -- especially communication and attitude -- needs improvement.

Sandough has amazing bread, and the bread is clearly the highlight. The pizza-dough style bread is crispy, chewy, nicely charred, and gives the sandwiches a unique texture. The Chicken Milanese was the weakest sandwich. The bread was excellent, but the sandwich itself was very plain. It had no spice, no sharpness, and not enough flavor. The vodka mayo sounded interesting, but it did not add much. This sandwich really needs something extra, like a spicy sauce, Dijon, Calabrian chili, or another flavorful add-on. I would give the Chicken Milanese a 6 out of 10. The Funghi sandwich was much better. It was cheesy, rich, well-seasoned, and full of flavor. It had a good balance and was definitely worth ordering. I would give the Funghi an 8 out of 10. The pastrami sandwich was the best of the three. It had great flavor, richness, melted cheese, and worked perfectly with the toasted bread. I would give the pastrami a 9 out of 10. If they offered an option to add sauerkraut, it would take the sandwich to the next level. The place is very busy, so expect a long wait. It took about 45 minutes to get the food. Seating is also an issue. Some large tables were being used by only one person, while larger parties had to stand without a place to sit. Parking is difficult too, and you may need to park a couple of blocks away. Overall, the bread is outstanding, the pastrami is excellent, and the Funghi is very good. The Chicken Milanese needs more flavor and spice to make it worth ordering again.

In the same vein, we stuck with a similar style of food and ended up at Propaganda. There was little to no wait, which was pleasant. It was a nice day and we decided to eat outside. The focaccia bread and salad came out first, and both were good. I enjoyed the crispiness of the bread, though my only qualms were that the bread was quite oily and the butter and salt were just a tad bit too salty for my liking. The Insalata Mista salad was solid. Good flavor, good dressing-to-salad ratio, and a surprisingly good portion size. As far as pizza goes, the Margherita was good. Tasty, moist, and a nice crunch on the crust. I found it to be enjoyable, though I may have enjoyed more fresh basil on this. I did find it better than the Boscaiola. I got the black truffle honey add on, and it does not go well on this pizza in my opinion. There was virtually no taste of truffle to me, and more of just an aftertaste of oily sweet honey. This was a miss. It's hard to say whether the base pizza was good without it because the flavor profile was just too overpowered by the aftertaste. The Arts District is definitely coming up with new upscale dining establishments, and I'm there for it. I think this is a solid addition. Though this is a wine bar, I don't generally drink, so my review is based purely on the food. Results of their drinks, which is quite an extensive list, may be to your liking! They do have an inexpensive three wine flight, for reference!
