People say this place has some of the best chicken. So let's see if they're pretty good eh or ew. I'm a chicken fiend and got their quarter chicken combo with salad and beans to try. The salad was interesting cuz it had beets and a strawberry but was pretty fresh and crunchy. The beans were well seasoned, flavorful, savory, startchy, and spiced but were a bit on the firm end for me. I like my beans thick and creamy. Was kinda surprised they gave me all white meat but didn't mind cuz I do prefer it. The chicken was nice and savory, umami, flavorful, and seasoned. Cuz it was white meat it was a bit dry tho. It also came with a tomatoey salsa and cilantroy a bit spicy green sauce that helped to add a brightness and freshness to the chicken. Everything here is super flavorful and well seasoned but like I can also get a full Costco rotisserie chicken for just $5- so overall this place eh. Paid $13.25 Price $12.08

Stopped in and I devoured their half chicken with rice and salad. Super healthy salad with beets! The chicken was roasted perfectly, so juicy and the skin was nicely crisp and proper! Customers were nonstop brimming! Their house green sauce is proper spicy too! Excellent spot!

Half Chicken with side salad which included beets Horchata That Green Sauce was delicious

This was my first time here from Las Vegas and let me tell you the food here was amazing. I had the half chicken with side salad which included beets, which I love. And also a side of rice. Also ordered an Horchata. The service was fast and efficient. The lady at the counter was friendly and kept the linE moving and had a good system going. This was a cool hole in the wall spot with a lot of traffic coming in and out and you can feel the buzz of how good the food was. I will definitely come back when I am in town.

What I Ordered: -1/2 Chicken with Rice & Beans $19.31 -1/4 Chicken with Fries & Salad $12.08 Pollo A La Brasa is known as the go-to spot for Peruvian rotisserie chicken in LA, and for good reason. The chicken was flavorful and moist, with excellent dark and white meat, and the portion size was very good. I wasn't sure what to order as a side, but the recommendation was fries and salad. I switched to rice and beans, and I'm so glad I did! The sides were both pretty good. I especially loved that the beans came in a separate container and had bits of meat inside. The rice was also nice, with a medley of corn, carrots, and peas. The biggest surprise was the salad. I'd heard people on Yelp recommend it, but it's not common to find a salad at a chicken joint, especially one with avocado, beets, and a slice of fresh, crisp apple. The tomatoes were very juicy, and I'd pay for this salad on its own. The orange dressing is the icing on the cake; it's so good! I appreciate that they provide a bottle of aji sauce when dining in. I also asked for extra orange and green sauces to go with my leftover chicken, and they were happy to accommodate. Don't order the fries! They lacked salt and seasoning and tasted like they were drenched in oil. I'm thankful I didn't order them a la carte because I threw most of them away. I had heard complaints about the staff being rude, but I didn't get that vibe at all. They were friendly and attentive. They're busy, so don't expect a long conversation, but they were respectful and polite. They offer complimentary cucumber water, which was another surprise. That's something you'd normally find at a spa, not a rotisserie chicken joint. While the location isn't ideal due to limited parking and a busy intersection, I haven't let that affect my opinion of the food. My suggestion is to order your chicken with rice and salad, and then get a small order of beans on the side. The beans are the cheapest, while the rice and salad are more expensive to order separately. I highly recommend this spot for rotisserie chicken - you won't be disappointed! Overall, considering everything, I think this is the best Pollo A La Brasa in LA. My experience at Pollo A La Brasa exceeded my expectations!

Best wood fire smoked rotisserie chicken I ever had I don't know what they do but the seasoning on the skin, the deep smoked flavors and the juiciness of the meat is just incredible Then you add their spicy green Aji sauce- it's just - WOW! The black beans are good as well as their rice. The salad is ok. But the star is the chicken

If this is rotisserie chicken, then what have I been eating this whole time? LOL this chicken is smoky, juicy, fall apart tender, seasoned to perfection. I got the half chicken with rice and beans. Even the beans super good. The place is small though, 6 tables maybe? And park on the street better unless you want a headache getting out.

Saw this place was on the Michelin guide and I love chicken so I been wanting to check out! Place is a little run down but the food quality is there. My order took around 25 minutes and we parked on the street since their is lot is limited. I ordered a whole chicken with fries and split that with my friend and we devoured it. The chicken had so much flavor and super juicy!

    Steak is tender and tasty

Delicious! Ordered 1/4 chicken and steak with a combination of rice, beans, and salads as sides. The meats are extra tender and flavored just right. Will definitely come back again if in the area. Recommend!

These are my mushy plantains I paid extra for .
    Rosa C.

The rice was mushy and the fries were mushy and flavorless. Waited 40 minutes for the food and the customer service inside is horrible

Sad looking plate. Just toss everything. Burnt and dry.
    Harry P.

Instagram just hype the video. It's really not that good. ‍‍ the plate looks so sad. I will not be coming back. Not worth the $22 for half plate. Save yourself from time and $$. Service was mediocre. Ambiance needs general cleaning.

Happies is located in Arts District and I came here on a Sunday dinner and didn't have any problems with parking. But, I can see how it might be hard to find if you come during peak hours. The restaurant was pretty empty. First thing I noticed was that there were tons of employees but no one really said anything. Since there was no one ordering, they were all standing around. You can just order at the kiosk but I wanted to ask a few questions but was kind of left to fend for myself. I ended up ordering the chicken tenders and chicken tenders with salad. I thought the restaurant ambience was nice. And after waiting for about 10 minutes, my order came out. They gave me extra sauce but again no explanation on why the extra sauce was provided. As for the food, I thought the chicken was kind of bland. I expected some Sichuan style but hardly any spice on the chicken. Once of the sauces was a Sichuan chili crisp, which gave the chicken more taste. Maybe the chicken was bland because I was supposed to dip it in the sauces? Aside from that, the other sauces were average (ranch and sweet/sour sauce). The salad was definitely a huge miss. They didn't dress the salad properly and only put dressing on top, so I just got a bunch of romaine lettuce at the end. The best part of my meal was the fries, which was crispy and fresh. Also, the fries were pretty generous. I think that the food was just average. Probably will not come back here but glad I came to check out what the hype was about.

I ordered the fried chicken sandwich, and it was way bigger than I expected. I also got the Le Coupe Sauce on the side, which is a mix of honey mustard and BBQ sauce. The chicken is made with thigh meat, so it's really juicy, and the breading has a nice crunch. The slaw goes well with it without taking away from the sandwich. I was planning to eat it when I got home, but after taking test bite at a red light, I ended up pulling over and finishing the whole thing in my car. It was that good. I'll definitely be coming back. The staff was really friendly too. Since it was my first time, I asked a lot of questions about the menu, what was popular, and what was in the Le Coupe Sauce. They were patient, answered everything, and helped me decide what to order. There are a few tables inside and out but the restaurant is small so if you come with a party you may have to wait until a space is free.

But was it still delicious and fried to perfection? Yes. Overall it was a really tasty fried chicken sandwich, the buns held the stack of creamy coleslaw and perfectly crunchy and juicy chicken together well. The bite had great flavour and texture, but it was mostly sweet and creamy. The self advertised slap yo' mama's hot sauce and chili hot honey made me crave some heat that was lacking from the sandwich. Parking was easy and service was great, no reservations needed.
