Not only did he nail the manicure (pun intended), but he also had my daughter giggling like she was front row at a stand-up set. Honestly, I'm not sure if we paid for nail art or live entertainment. My daughter was getting a mani pedi with gel nail polish on her hands. I was getting a pedi. I only take my daughter to get her nails done on special occasions which this was one of them. She was getting gel for the first time. What was suppose to be relaxing, enjoyable and calming felt extremely rushed. She must have had her feet in the water for 5 minutes. We sat in the chairs and waited for 15 minutes before the water was started. Her entire service was less than 30min. While I understand she's a kid, we're still paying customers. For $55 just for her I was expecting a little more from this place especially because they claim "not be like like others" her nails were a decent length which just required filing, but were cut without asking. She felt rushed to pick colors and chose different ones that she initially wanted. Until I noticed and spoke up for her. If you're in the business of hospitality and spa like environments. People should walk out with a smile on their face and happy. Not feeling they wished they would have gone to a different place. There was not much attention to detail on her nails. She had nail polish on her fingers and the ends of her nails felt rough, which shouldn't especially with gel nail polish. We won't be going back read more

The nail techs are not schooled nor do they show their licenses. I am a cosmetologist and I was completely unfulfilled when I left. I will never use them again and hopefully this warning will help others to not go there. read more

I came in two weeks ago to get a full set and a pedicure. It was 172 with a 20% tip, I honestly would not of tipped at all. I have paid less for more designs, length, and quality. The lady who did my pedicure was rude she did not make me feel welcomed. She half assed my pedicure and made it a big deal that my toenails were too small to get cat eye nails, for her. I can do my own nails but wanted to try a new place to treat myself for my birthday. I did the cat eye perfectly fine, u can see it on my toes. This did not meet my expectations at all. She said she would do chrome but did it wrong, u should put the silver first and then the red to get to something similar to what I wanted. The customer service was nice but it didn't seem genuine. My full set grew out in one week, which is not normal for me at all or anyone else for the matter. read more

I've never left a bad review but I'm shocked by the gel manicure I got. My nails feel butchered...I just asked for a simple gel manicure with chrome. There was no attention to detail, my cuticles weren't even pushed back and all the corners of my nails were cut (which is painful). She was working so fast as if there were people waiting....there was only one other person getting their nails done. The only thing she got right was the color I wanted. That was not worth $50+ for the quality I was given. read more

Seriously AVOID this place. Came in from out of town, asked them to do a french tip gel manicure and it was totally BUTCHERED. Literally looked like a child did it. They had to remove and redo. I just opted for a plain color. Safe yourself the trouble and go somewhere else. read more

I want to start this review by saying this has nothing to do with their customer service. They are all lovely here. I went in asking for a new dip manicure, and unfortunately what I got was sub par. I'm pretty sure the gentleman doing my nails used the wrong dip adhesive and was using a gel top coat instead, because the dip powder kept sliding off my nail causing him to half to put like 6 layers of dip on. The dip was super uneven which made him file the dip down significantly. So much so that you can see my bare nail through the dip on a lot of my nails. Most of my nails look thick, uneven and chunky, or even dented. My pedicure was great, but the lady who does them either pushes to give you a design or does it anyway without telling you... I absolutely would have stayed to have them fix it but I was there at that point for almost 3 hours and just wanted to leave. read more

So this is a follow up from the last post. Turns out you can't just use over the counter meds to get rid of the fungus this nail salon gave me. I had to make a doctor apt $25, and there are two options for recovery. First is typical: takes four weeks to up to four months to heal!!!! No Polish or nails allowed during that time!!! Cost $12 with insurance... but if you get it on three or more nails they want you to take oral medication however the oral is hard on liver so you have to have a liver test before they will give it to you!!!! It all could have been avoided if the man who did my nails, sanitize his tools properly, and use proper sterilizing agents to ensure that I did not get fungus under my nails!! I'm still pissed!!!!! read more

I'm not one to write poor reviews but today I'm saddened to say that I had a not so good experience with this salon. It was my first time and I asked for an acrylic gel French tip pedicure. I showed the example pictures just to give my lady an idea. I think she was confused and started doing just gel and I asked if we were still doing acrylics..the owner said that it's not to late to fix but I didn't want to give the lady a hard time and we continued with gel. I had a broken nail on my big toe so she only did one overlay on that toe. For the regular pedicure ($30) and a gel French tip design($25) and an ($8) overlay on one nail..total came out to $63. I was originally overcharged and asked to see the menu and she did overcharge me after matching her ACTUAL prices. She charged me more because the French tip design I showed her was not the "usual French tip design"...I promise it's was a regular French tip design. I wish they would have told me prior to doing it that it was going to be more even though regular French tip design is all I wanted. The overall look is not bad at all but this experience and trying to scam me was unbelievable. read more

My daughter and I were looking for a salon that could take us both for 2 services each, and when we called Royal nails Jackie was great. She was able to get us in, even though she had a lot of scheduled clients and she did an amazing job. Jackie is sweet, upfront and honest, and wants to give you the best possible experience. She was so efficient and she did beautiful work. The pricing was good as well, and everyone at the salon was friendly and did a great job. Another thing that I loved seeing was that Jackie (and staff) actually disinfected the tools they use and the little nail drill bit pieces. Their pedicure chairs had liners and they opened new bags of tools when they began the pedicure. We really enjoyed ourselves and will be back for sure. read more

Well, they changed ownership and now it's awful. I had a pedicure and Tony rushed through it and did a terrible job while the whole time trying to upsell me on gel and when I said no he started in on flowers. Nope again. He jammed an object under my nail while trying to clean there which was very painful. Worst yet, I had the callous removal and he kept showing me and everyone there the gunk he literally grated off my foot. To top it off, he was in such a rush that he missed the second coat on part of my big toe. Of course, I didn't see it until I went home after this $50+ pedicure. This used to be a nice establishment where the staff were respectful and kind. As soon as we sat down, the employees started in talking amongst themselves in Vietnamese which I do not speak. My mom forgot her color number and the man there was very rude while talking to her. We will not be back read more

Happened to find this place while I was at a brow appointment next door. I'm so glad I did! I went to a nail salon (yesterday) and had the worst nails done of my life. I explained that here and they helped me fix the shape of my nails, the color and a polish change on my toes! The ambiance is so cool. Such a cute shop! The owner was so friendly and made me feel at home. Frank and Anna were seriously the best!!!! This will be my forever nail spot! Definitely give them a try! You won't be disappointed! read more

I have been a loyal customer to Royal Nails for eight years and now that they've changed ownership they no longer have the excellent service they used to have. Jackie and Frank were amazing at customer service. I went in there today because I got my nails done two weeks ago and the paint is already wearing off the Tips and they wanted me to pay full price to get them fixed again. My nails usually last a month Frank was amazing at doing my nails, well I'm sad to say they lost a very loyal customer today. Also, their prices have gone up, and their service went down. read more

I started coming here because the place I used to go stopped taking walk ins. So I found Roy lal Nail Spa. Since then, I've been coming here. Jackie, Frank are really great. Tammy too was great and patient. Never had a bad experience since day one. So, I brought my 15 year daughter with me and shes so in love with her nails. I've even left a positive review here before because of how much I loved her work and the service. I booked a manicure and pedicure with Nina, but somewhere there was a miscommunication about my appointment. When I arrived, she seemed surprised that I also wanted a pedicure. She told me to sit and said she would send someone else to help me, then continued working on another client. I sat there for about 20 minutes, maybe longer. It's really hard for me to get alone time, so I was still trying to stay positive and feel grateful I was even there. Eventually, someone started my pedicure, but I had to let him know I needed to leave to pick up my daughter from daycare. I even offered to come back the next day, which was really disappointing, but I understand mistakes happen and sometimes things take longer than expected. I asked to speak with a manager about possibly getting a discount due to the inconvenience. I explained the situation, but the woman I spoke to said she couldn't help because the manager was sick. I've never seen this assistant manager before, but she handled the situation completely incorrectly. Things then started to escalate. The man helping me came up, and she began speaking aggressively to him about my toes not being done. I stepped in to say it wasn't his fault--it was a scheduling issue, and I wasn't upset, I just felt a discount was fair since I'd have to come back. At that point, Nina came over, and suddenly there were multiple upset employees in front of me. I have anxiety from past experiences, and the situation made me feel extremely overwhelmed. I even started to tear up, which was honestly embarrassing. When they came back, the man doing my toes asked why I didn't say anything sooner or that I needed to leave. I explained that I didn't want to rush anyone and understood that sometimes services take longer than expected, which is why I was okay with coming back. The assistant manager then raised her voice at me, waving her hands and saying she had told Nina about my pedicure. I told her I didn't understand why she was raising her tone with me, and she said it was because I kept bringing it up. I explained I was only answering her coworker's question and trying to make sure he understood it wasn't his fault. I am a very patient person, and I paid for nails I didn't even like. I was there for about three hours and still left with one foot undone due to their scheduling mistake. I wasn't asking for anything unreasonable--just to pay for my manicure and receive a small discount on my pedicure since I had to go out of my way to come back. It got to the point where I was crying and even raised my voice back, which is completely out of character for me. I eventually told her we didn't need to continue the conversation because she kept arguing with me. I have never left a nail salon in full panic attack mode before--this was honestly shocking. Another woman even left while I was there because they messed up her daughter's appointment, and she was very upset as well. I will say Nina did a good job on my nails, and the man helping me was kind, so I still tipped them both. But overall, this experience felt very unprofessional. This is my first time ever leaving a negative review, but I would not recommend this salon.

I went in to get a pedicure. After I was seated I asked what type of pedicure and I just wanted a…read morebasic one. The tech asked if I wanted GEL and I said "No" definitely don't want Gel, I just wanted regular polish. I asked if it would be possible to do an ombré for the color when choosing colors and was told it would be $10 more for the "design" and asked if I agreed to that, which I did. The tech had difficulty even getting the ombré look and I had to wait for him to get help from another tech. When I approached the front desk to pay, the total was an additional $10 more than the amount that I agreed to with the tech. So the basic pedicure + $25 instead of the $15 that I agreed to. I immediately questioned the amount, to which I was told "the design was $10 but the gel polish was also $15 =$25 more so a total of $57 for a classic pedicure. " I explained that I specifically said that I didn't want gel, and they said that they couldn't do an ombré color without using Gel polish, which was never explained to me when I asked for the design. Why would they go out of their way to ask if it was ok for $10 more for design but not another $15 more because the design required gel. I never would have agreed to the design knowing that it would have required gel. It seems like some sort of scam to increase pricing without the customers knowledge or consent. It's such a shame because there were quite a few seats and I didn't need to wait a long time to be seated. I was hoping that by bringing the pricing issue up immediately they would have corrected it in the moment due to the tech not providing price transparency or the fact that he would be using gel when I specifically said I didn't want it.

I love this nail salon every time I come the staff is so sweet and nice, they are always offering you water and calling you by your first name making you feel welcome! They also had the plexiglass to meet the state guidelines (our new norm), and she also used a disposable plastic wrap for the foot spa tub. There are 2 nail stations and 2 spa stations. And for the new customers, this place is located inside Phoenix salon, in between Barrons and Dollar Tree Store. The staff also wore masks and gloves during the service and masks are also required for every customer. I was really happy with my service today. The acrylic powder used immediately burned my nail beds to the point I cringed in pain every time the brush touched my nails. The nails themselves were ridiculously thick and not at all symmetrical and the french tips went nearly halfway down my nail despite me showing a reference photo multiple times. Moreover, the nail tech painted the tips on my entire right hand before realizing she used regular polish instead of gel. She wiped it off leaving polish on my hands and rushed to finish my nails so she could move on to another client. The price was very reasonable compared to other salons (I paid $50) but I would rather pay more to have a comfortable experience with quality products that don't set my hands on fire.
