Well still no word after two weeks. The insurance company took 7 days to compile a 9 page report on the inefficiency's from Royal plumbing's job. These guys are borderline criminals at the point. Please note that I told them 3 days after the furnace went down (they took two days off because of the snow ) I said 'at this point if we hadn't called someone else to fix it would be 78 hours that my 88 year old mom would have be without heat. I write this review not lightly, but out of an obligation to warn all prospective customers about the egregious misconduct and utter incompetence exhibited by Royal Plumbing. This company's conduct not only falls drastically below any reasonable industry standard but may well expose them to legal liability and regulatory scrutiny. First and foremost, Royal Plumbing demonstrated an appalling disregard for customer welfare and contractual obligations. Royal Plumbing was assigned to me by American Home Shield and took an unconscionable two and a half months to address a critical air conditioning repair amid a severe heat advisory exceeding 100 degrees. This delay, marked by a complete absence of urgency or transparency, is not just poor service- it constitutes a breach of the duty of care owed to their customers. Communication practices by Royal Plumbing are deceptive and unprofessional. They increased the price throughout the process, and systematically ignored inbound calls from clients while selectively retrieving voicemail messages, effectively controlling and evading customer contact at will. They do this to exhaust customers and avoid any accountability. Financially, Royal Plumbing has no justification for retaining over $4,600 without delivering a functioning AC system. Instead of remedying the issue, their installation practices violated at least three building code requirements, left equipment unsecured on the roof, and caused multiple complaints from the homeowner's association. Their negligence triggered fire and security alarms multiple times, and most recently caused water leaks flooding units below our residence due to an improper installation--damage for which Royal Plumbing is now liable. Their workmanship and operational competence are nothing short of catastrophic. The company's leadership and customer service team have displayed an abysmal level of professionalism, or rather, a complete lack thereof. At first, communication was normal but as problems increased, attempts to coordinate with them were met with indifference and disrespect, including ignoring explicit instructions to communicate with authorized representatives. This resulted in confrontations with our tenants and purposefully installing the thermostat incorrectly so that the air conditioning system unusable during extreme heat conditions--absolutely cruel and unprofessional. They left the property saying that it would "take a few hours to cool". 24 hours later, and the unit was still not working. It's been almost a month, and I still have not heard from Royal Plumbing. I've reached out to their team to try to rectify thi,s but received no response. We ultimately had to hire another contractor to come and fix it. We have no choice but to take further actions. To any individual or entity considering engaging Royal Plumbing: this company will impose a costly, hazardous, and deeply frustrating experience. The risk of property damage, regulatory violation, and personal stress far outweighs any benefit. Frankly, it seemed as though they lacked even the basic knowledge to properly install an HVAC unit. It would have been much easier and more efficient if they had simply focused on completing the job correctly from the start. American Home Shield customers assigned to Royal Plumbing should demand immediate reassignment to a competent contractor before irreparable harm occurs. Royal Plumbing's actions, or lack thereof, reflect a systemic failure in every aspect of their business operations. This review serves as a formal warning: do not entrust your property, safety, or peace of mind to this company. This is a company that I would have never used if my warrenty company had not sent them. I had a water emergency and Royal Plumbing Heating & AC LLC is who my warrenty company sent out. I had to wait a week before they could come out. Then once the plumber arrived, he merely took a few pictures and left. I later found out that he needed to put in a work order which he waited until the end of day to do. In calling the office, they were not helpful and exacerbated the sitituation in providing zero solutions. I went on to wait an additional two weeks with no resolve. Then finally when it was time to make the repair and the part was ordered and received, I was informed that I would have to pay up front, on top of what I had already paid these people before I could be scheduled for a repair, so I will go yet another weekend without running water. I acknowledge that I was upset, yet for the desk clerk to tell me, I either pay or I don't. I will officially label my experience with this company as trash as in I will NEVER do business with this awful company again. If I could give less than 1 star I would. Their owner and customer service are unprofessional and rude. I set up an appointment time with them. They gave a 4 hour time window. I called 45 minutes prior to the time ending and was told that the plumber was finishing a job and would be to me next. I called back 10 minutes prior to the end of the time frame given and was told "the prior job went longer than he expected". Please note, they didn't call me - I had to call them. Then they wanted me to reschedule (please note they wanted payment prior to the job being done). After rescheduling the second time, the technician never showed. We contacted them 15 minutes prior to then of the 4 hour window only to be connected to their answering machine stated that they are closed for the day. We called back on the next business day and was told that the technician did show up and waited for 15 minutes but no one was at home. This was not true as I had been home since 12:45. They also said that they called. When asked for then numbers called, they refused to give them as they were told that we have no calls from them on our phone. We were told that we would have to reschedule for the 3rd time and wait. Our request was simple - please schedule us first because of what has happened the first two times. Cam (the person on the phone) was rude and unprofessional telling us that we would have to wait during the 4 hour time window. I asked to speak with a manager or the owner and was told no he would not transfer the call. After he hung up, they then contacted my homeowner's insurance and listed the job as complete. I then sent an email to Nate Taylor the owner requesting a call back. I informed him that he had my money and lied to my insurance company telling them that he completed a service when he did not. I informed him that if he did not contact me, I would contact the PA State AG. Mr. Taylor called back - not in a professional manner, but just as rude, if not more rude then his customer service agent. He was never apologetic for anything and made it seem as though we were the cause for not being serviced. All he continued to say was "we are not scammers". There was never mention of anyone being scammed. We just asked that they do the right thing, and schedule us first. No person wants to sit for 4 hours waiting on someone and you don't know when and if they will come - especially anyone who has a job of their own. PLEASE STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY read more

Absolute worse. AHS assigned them to fix a toilet that was running. On the first call, they replaced the flapper, still running. On the second visit they repacked the flush valve, That stopped the water from running, but know it does not flush properly. Now the tank is only half-filled with water and I need to flush 2 or 3 times as the flush valve is too short, If I was younger I could have fixed in myself, the parts are only $14 on Amazon. They came out again & stated as long as it flushes, they met the work requirement. So now, I have to stand there & wait till it fills & give it a 2nd flush. I hope I am wrong, but I anticipate having a clogged toilet at some point due to the flow not moving it to the stack. read more

Started having issues with AC in May. Just had another company try to finally fix issues. Royal Plumbing said I needed $5200 new condenser which I probably didn't need, $650 dye test for leaks that solved nothing. Other company found leaks without extra charge. However worst problem/frustration was company abandoned me and couldn't get manager or owner to talk to me after much time, many attempts and messages. Inexplicable poor customer service. If I could give this company negative stars I would. Royal Plumbing was contracted through American Home Shield to diagnose and fix the issue with my AC not working. The technician (Eric) showed up and thought he was there for a plumbing job! I explained no, you are here to diagnose my AC failure, after consulting the work order on his phone he agreed. He then proceeded to look at my outside unit and used sticks from the ground to move the fan blades, and banging on the outside of the unit. At this point if I had hired this company on my own, I would have asked him to leave, but unfortunately, I couldn't as they were contracted by AHS. He then proceeded to answer a phone call from his wife and spent approximately 15-20 mins talking to her about household items. Immediately after he hung up with her his phone rang again and he started talking to his grandmother about things she needed for her garden. These conversations should be held in the truck between jobs, not at a customer's home, it is unprofessional. I asked him if he found the issue and first, I was told it was a bad compressor and a bad capacitor. He then checked for some information from my inside unit. After coming back upstairs he said he was done and that the Compressor and Condenser both need to be replaced. He had no paperwork and did not request me to sign anything which I thought was odd as that is standard when having a service tech come out through AHS. The next day I checked my service portal on AHS to see if the report had been submitted yet. I noticed that the dispatch was marked "Service Complete". I then called AHS as the tech did not fix anything, and the dispatch should only be in "Estimate" stage. The customer service rep opened a recall ticket to get the service completed. I then called Royal Plumbing directly to understand next steps. The receptionist Devin proceeded to hang up on me. I then called back and was told the ticket was still open it was not in "Service Complete" status. I challenged this as I could still see it in the AHS portal. He put me on hold and reached out to AHS, he returned to the line and said he would call back with an update to not make me stay on hold an extended amount of time. Two minutes later I saw the recall dispatch was cancelled by Royal Plumbing. Contacted AHS and was told they had 48 hours to submit the report. 48 hours later still no report, I called AHS, and they escalated to their Contractor Team. Finally Royal Plumbing submitted their report and were only replacing the compressor, there was $2400 of uncovered costs associated with the repair that I would be responsible for. I asked AHS for a breakdown of the cost and was told it was for 22 pounds of R22 refrigerant. I then contacted an independent HVAC company to quote me a new system. When the other company was here, I asked how much refrigerant my current system could hold, they said maximum 6 pounds! Royal Plumbing tried to scam me out of additional money for additional pounds of refrigerant that my system could not even hold. Needless to say after a month of frustration and aggravation of going back and forth with Royal Plumbing, we decided to replace our entire system with the other company that came out. read more

This company was assigned to me by American Home Shield. They came out to diagnose a leaky shower, estimated $425 additional work to be done, and left my shower unassembled and no longer working. When I tried to contact management I did not receive a call back from the manager about the issue only the dispatcher to relay a message from his manager. The plumber was clearly inexperienced and now I have to pay another plumber to fix work that has caused more issues. DO NOT USE if assigned to you!! On Sunday 2-26-23, a water line broke in my basement causing my basement to flood and the line had to be cut off by Aqua, I called AHS to hire a plumber who hired Royal plumbing, who has on their message system when you call them that if you had an emergency to call their emergency line. Now if I lived by myself it would not have been considered an emergency but I have two children one being 5months and the other being 8years old. I explained to them the urgency and after coming to look at the problem for five minutes on Tuesday and realizing that the problem was bigger than what's cover under warranty they left my house and 15mins later I agreed to pay the balance and they were unavailable to come out to fix my problem until Thursday, which I again explained the urgency and the call taker never acknowledged my problem and made it seem as if my problem didn't matter. read more

I will not recommend Royal Plumbing. I had a leaky faucet. Our insurance company hired Royal plumbing to fix the problem. they promptly sent a person to fix the issue. in my opinion the guy who showed up seem like a handy man without real knowledge to fix the issue. he messed up the faucet and it started to leak much more. when I called them and reported the issue they said it will not be covered by the insurance and I have to pay $550 to replace it. they said it will not be covered because of restrictions or block in the faucet. the actual problem was the valve that needed replacement. read more

When we called they told me that was the fix they told her and she agreed. I asked her what he described to her and she was able to articulate very well what he described. The company has HORRIBLE customer service as they told us, "There's nothing we can do. Its already been fixed". There is plenty they can do. First off they can come and do the job the right way. In making the initial request, the receptionist took down the wrong information; saying the job was for a washing machine when it was actually for our dishwasher (evidently her taking the wrong info was my fault). When the techs came, they told me that they don't fix appliances and that would a different company which makes sense because no diagnostic was run before or after the "repair". From only looking at it, thought it was a problem with a hose so they added a clamp (which I supplied) thinking that would fix the problem. It did not. I called back speaking to a different receptionist, Shakia, explaining that the leak is still happening. I was told that there would be another fee for them to come out. I find this completely unacceptable. They're evaluation was incorrect; and "fixed" a problem that didn't exist. I don't reccommend. read more

I have used this company a few times through my home warranty. I have been disappointed every time they have come out to the site. I think the owner of the company tells their staff to do the absolute min as each time they have had to come out multiple times to fix/or in my case not fix the issue. Every time they have come out I have had to be directed to another plumbing service or have had to hire a professional to come out and fix the issue. Maybe my issues have been due to the inexperienced staff that comes out to the site. The first job they worked on leaked in my shower and bathroom faucet. It took 3 different teams to come out to look at it and spin a story as to why they can not replace it. I then hired a different plumber who replaced both. The second job is an ongoing issue with my water heater. I first hired someone in an emergency to fix the fan. That technician said that I should consider replacing the part. I then called Royal through AHS and they sent a kid out who first said he did not have access. So I broke open the wall for him and rescheduled. It took them over a week to come back to me. Then the same kid said I don't know what is wrong with it and it's working now. If did not even take the cover off of the machine to take a look inside. He just called Rianni with the error code I told him that was coming up. The manager then spun some story about not fixing what isn't broken and to call them within 30 days if something comes up. Due to the error message no longer coming up, I had hot water again but I noticed water dripping from the machine and an awful sound coming from the machine when the washing machine was on. I called the office and they told me I had to get another work order (spend more money) for them to come out. Their customer service staff are not aligned with what the owner/manager says and literally do not want to work for their fees. I am so frustrated with their staff and work ethic from the past two years of service. I would proceed with caution. If you can not find anyone else to use. These guys cost me time and money. Royal plumbing is contracted with American Home Shield. I contacted AHS because my sink was clogged. Royal plumbing unclogged the drain but in process they put a hole in my drainpipe at the elbow in my basement/garage. This was January 20th. He didn't go in the basement at all. My daughter found the leak which is running down my drywall. I contacted AHS. They sent another plumber on January 26th who was late. He looked at the pipe and told me I needed to do a different request. I called AHS on the 27th. Set up a new request. The new plumber advised that Royal Plumbing caused this issue and cancelled the request. I escalated it. I was contacted by AHS on January 31st and royal will call me. Royal Plumbing contacted me on 1st to set up an appointment for February 3rd. The original plumber who caused the damage came out. over an hour late without contacting me and looked at the pipe, just like the plumber did the week before. I asked him if he was going to fix it today, He stated no. I escorted him out of my garage. Royal plumbing has refused to take accountability for the actions of their plumber. I am still in contact with AHS trying to resolve this but as of 2/14 the issue is not resolved, and my pipe is causing additional damage. I went without my kitchen sink and dishwasher for over a week. I had to. Temporarily put flex seal tape on it to do my dishes, but that is slowing the damage not repairing it. read more

The first time I rendered service through Royal Plumbing was in 2021. The receptionist was very helpful and the Technician that came out ( Eric) was awesome! Fast forward to now, this will be the third time within 2 weeks that a Tech ( Trayvon) has been out to fix what was a small issue turned into now a major issue because each time the Technician did not fix the issue. He was at my home for 5 hours just to install a converter and faucet to my tub. 15 minutes after he left the pipe starting leaking worst than before. The same is coming back out! I requested to speak to a manager and no one has returned my call. I even request another Tech to assist Trayvon, but no guarantees. Please beware before using these "professionals"! I needed to have my water manifold replaced. Royal plumbing did not order the correct parts. They proceeded to cut off all of my water to my house and not return for a WHOLE WEEK. I had to spend over $2000 on a hotel and food costs because they were not able to tell the difference between 1/2" and 3/8" fittings. The plumber proceeded to still be missing enough parts for the job after ordering a week later. He had to have someone deliver parts multiple times during the install because he could not count properly. They left my new manifold with multiple fittings on each line because they again did not order the correct fittings. I had to file a claim with my home owner insurance and my insurance company called Royal. The manager cursed out the insurance agent over the phone.
