ordered this cake specifically because I was told multiple times that it was a "Pistachino" cake and that it contained pistachios. I made it very clear that having pistachios inside was important to me. However, when we cut the cake, there were absolutely no pistachios inside. The taste was also very disappointing. It did not have any special flavor. Honestly, it tasted like a very basic cocoa cake or plain cake -- but at a much higher price. I also strongly feel like this cake may have been purchased from Vons and displayed in their showcase as their own product for resale. Previously, their cakes had a unique and distinct flavor, but this time there was nothing special about it at all. Very disappointing experience. I would not recommend it, and I no longer trust the quality.

This is becoming problematic! The desserts here can't be beat, even if it's something you've never had before, you know it's going to be absolutely incredible! Sonya is always super friendly and helpful, makes it easy to go back! Gives great advice for which sweet treat will make you the happiest. Any time I take these anywhere, they're very happily received. And their prices are incredibly reasonable!!!

I'm so glad I stumbled upon this gem while driving by--what a find! I've been in multiple times now, and every experience has been nothing short of wonderful. Honestly, I'm surprised the reviews aren't better, because this place is a treasure. The baklava is out of this world--perfectly balanced, rich, and stays fresh for 7-10 days (not that it ever lasts that long in my house!). The two lovely ladies who are always there when I stop in on Sundays are absolute sweethearts. They're warm, welcoming, and always offer great suggestions when I'm feeling adventurous and want to try something new. The presentation of the sweets is so elegant--truly fit for royalty. Everything looks and tastes like it was made with great care and love. Royal Sweets lives up to its name, and I'll keep coming back again and again! Today I tried the banana tres leches--wow! An incredible, refreshing twist on the classic. So moist, airy, and packed with flavor.

Passed by this bakery so many times and finally made it in tonight. And all I can say is wow. So many to choose from. A bit overwhelming. I couldn't decide what to choose until a lady came from the back kitchen with freshly baked baklava filled with cream cheese and said here please try and Holy Canoli! ! It was so DELICIOUS! I'm obsessed. They serve pastries, cakes, and ice cream. The only thing missing is a seating area. Would love to have enjoyed the freshly baked goods with a cup of coffee or tea.

Great variety of food. Server was very nice. No seating in the restaurant. Kanafeh is a must.

If you love Middle Eastern desserts, this place is a must! The kunefe was perfectly crispy on top with a beautiful layer of cheese, and the pistachio baklava was fresh and flavorful. It honestly made me feel like I was back home. I also tried their viral cakes, and my favorite was the lemon.

Royal Sweets is one of my favorite dessert place here at ElCajon. Last Saturday we came here and we met a lady named Habiba ( I think that's her name if im not mistaken) She was very friendly and patient with us. We bought 8 different kinds of ice cream to try and all are so good and satisfying. The place was small but it was clean and all their displayed desserts are mouth watering to see.

My wife was craving clam chowder in a sourdough bowl. I got all the ingredients for the chowder,…read morebut I needed the bowl. So I asked Mr.Google where I could find a high quality sourdough loaf. Of course I paged down past the paid ads and found Angela's Eccentric Kitchen. The website said they open at 7:00, so after filling up at Costco, I headed over. They're a couple of doors down from Mary's donuts. I walked in and was greeted immediately and asked what I'm looking for. I explained my story and was shown the perfect sourdough loaf for my needs. Now, I'm not personally a fan of sourdough, but when I hollowed out the bowl, I tried some and oh my gosh, it was delicious! I painted the bowl with olive oil cod placed it in a. 350° oven for about 15 minutes to toast. I painted the lid with EVOO and sprinkled with salt, granulated garlic, and dried chives. I mixed the innerds the same way and put all of them in the air fried at 400° for 6 minutes to toast. Once done, I let the bowl cool for a half hour and couldn't stop snacking on the croutons while making the chowder from scratch. Once the chowder was ready, I assembled the meal and gave it to my wife. She devoured it forthwith and said it was better than that served on Fisherman's wharf in San Francisco. Now, if I'd been thinking, I'd have gotten some of their tasty looking sweet treats for desert. But I'll be back. I encourage you to come by for your bread and sweet bakery needs. You won't be disappointed.

The order was supposed to be ready for pickup at 2 PM on Sunday. I sent my mom to pick everything up and bring it to the party. When she arrived, they told her there were no cakes and no record of my order. Two cashiers started blaming each other--each one claiming they didn't take the order. My mom FaceTimed me while I was at the party with guests already arriving (this was around 4 PM, well past the pickup time). I spoke to the cashier who originally took my order--she remembered me--but then claimed they had misplaced the order and there were no cakes. They told us to come back in an hour so they could remake everything. I asked for at least the desserts since the party was already set up and we were only missing the dessert table and cake. Instead, they made my mom wait another 30 minutes just to get the desserts--and even then, the order was incorrect. I had ordered 10 cups of kishkish, but they only gave 8. When I called to ask, they initially insisted they gave 10. I had to FaceTime them to show proof because they were accusing me of lying. Then they changed their story and said they gave 8 larger cups instead. My husband returned an hour later to pick up the cakes while guests were waiting--very embarrassing. The cakes we finally received had different fillings than what I originally ordered, but at that point we had no choice. Throughout this entire experience, the staff was rude and dismissive. Not once did anyone apologize or take responsibility. They made it seem like the mistake was ours. I would strongly advise against ordering from here for any special occasion. This was extremely disappointing and stressful.

There was only one person in front of me when I walked into the store and the lady behind the counter after she got done ringing him up a few people walked in and basically cut the line and she didn't even acknowledge me and she continued to ring people up after the second person she helped. I finally decided to go up to her so that hopefully she'd acknowledge me that I've been waiting patiently I asked a question and then told her I was ready and knew what I wanted. I proceeded to walk to the item and she did not follow me. She continued to ring people up and have me stand there two more people after me and the third person which is now five total told her that he would be happy to wait because he knew I was ahead of him and acknowledged that what she was doing was rude and disrespectful. She shook her head no and said that it was OK and continue to ring him up at that point I walked out outraged and upset of how rude this lady was. I was a big fan of this place, but I will no longer ever come back here again as long as she's working there and I will never recommend anyone to come here either. If you see this lady just keep driving and go somewhere else you don't deserve to be disrespected when you're a paying customer.

One of my Yelp friends made a post about $3 medium drink rewards this past week for Paris Baguette…read morerewards members, and when I checked my account dashboard, I saw that I had two such rewards: $3 Latte or Macchiato and $3 Matcha or Chai. I just so happened to pass by this Paris Baguette while visiting Kearny Mesa, and since I was getting thirsty, I decided to stop in and see what drink I could get. Unlike the other Paris Baguette locations close to where I reside, this Paris Baguette is actually located inside Zion Market on Clairemont Mesa Blvd right off the 163 freeway. It's kind of like Tous Les Jours embedded inside Hmart where it'd be impossible to stop by the bakery without first entering the grocery store. There were a couple of customers waiting to order, and then when it was my turn, the cashier (Isabella?) went to make some drinks. They seemed short-staffed because it took her a couple of minutes to get to me, though she did acknowledge my presence and said she'd be with me in "just a second" even though it took way more than a second lol. At least I had ample time to peruse the menu. At first, I was planning to get an Iced Strawberry Matcha Latte, whose regular price for a medium size would be $6.50. However, I noticed another TV that was showing the seasonal drinks. I was getting annoyed by that TV because it kept flipping back and forth between two different screens, which really hampered my decision-making process. The screens would change at random times, so I hastily came to a decision of the Iced Caramel Apple Matcha Latte, though I wasn't totally sure if either reward would work on that specialty latte. When Isabella was ready to take my order, she did confirm the Iced Caramel Apple Matcha Latte would qualify for the $3 reward, but then I had to ask which reward? Since it was a matcha drink, it could have worked for "$3 Matcha or Chai", but since it was also a latte drink, it could have also worked for "$3 Latte or Macchiato". Surely, Paris Baguette could have been a little less ambiguous about which reward such a drink would qualify for, especially since "Chai Latte" is also a drink they offer. I showed Isabella both rewards, and she determined that the Iced Caramel Apple Matcha Latte would work for the "$3 Matcha or Chai" reward. I had noticed that the drink was listed as $7.99 on the menu, but it actually rang up as $6.99 at the register. My goal was to get the most expensive drink that would qualify for either $3 reward, and $7.99 was the highest price tag I saw; there easily could have been another $7+ drink out there that I could have ordered to maximize my savings, but oh well... Isabella went off to do something as I was paying, but forgot to press a button on her end to request payment, so the payment process took a little longer than expected. If the TV screen hadn't kept flipping back and forth so much, and if that particular line item had shown the correct price, I could easily have chosen a different drink instead. But no complaints about the drink itself. It took just a couple of minutes for them to prepare my Iced Caramel Apple Matcha Latte. I was expecting them to give me a straw, but they have them on a counter by the right wall. I had an Iced Matcha Latte from Dunkin' earlier in the week, and it was on the order of "meh". This matcha latte was way better, though it certainly wouldn't be fair to compare a seasonal flavored matcha latte from a patisserie to a regular matcha latte from an average fast food chain that sells dry, day old tasting donuts lol. The latte was topped with the caramel drizzle, and it paired so well with the matcha that even if the matcha tasted grassy to begin with, I didn't sense it at all. I also thought the drink was at just the right consistency without being overly frothy, like the matcha latte from Dunkin'. Also, it's worth noting I'm not particularly a fan of matcha, so if you are, rest assured that you can get good quality matcha here! Is it the best matcha in town? If you're asking me, you're asking the wrong person LOL. Overall, it's a pretty decent Paris Baguette to go to, and it will definitely keep you company as you do your shopping in Zion Market. If you're not a rewards member, don't forget to join and download the app! These kinds of deals show up from time to time, but you don't necessarily get notified when they come up; instead, you'll have to check the app on a consistent basis or be Yelp friends with someone who posts these kinds of deals on their Yelp feed lol. Like yours truly for example; I'll let you know they're issuing these $3 medium drink rewards for the next two weeks as well. You're welcome :)

The sea salted caramel cream coffee on the other hand was lacking that depth and lush you'd get from actual caramel. It tasted like they used a pump syrup instead, very artificial. I wanted more salt in this drink as well. Other than that, it was ok, esp for the price. I'd prob get the original sea salt cream coffee next time. There are a few tables inside (chairs minimal) and some outdoor seating. Lots of space to park.

I think what did it for me is the fact the drinks are either topped off or not. I'm paying over $5 for a large specialty drink (the only size it's offered in) and they can't even top it off? Wth? **the next day I went to another 85 location. I realized the National City store gave me a medium sized drink and it wasn't a large. Large is the only size they sell this drink in. The drink I bought from the other location was noticeably larger and topped off. National City is ripping customers off.**

I wanted to find a new place where I could enjoy the vibe, read my book, and not feel overwhelmed by a huge crowd. I was really happy we found this place! The owner was super welcoming, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. My husband and I each tried one of their desserts, and we even took a cake home. Everything was really good! We both got regular iced coffees, and they were really good too. They were also really nice about making our drinks the way we liked them. We really enjoyed being able to sit, drink our coffee, read our books, and just enjoy the atmosphere for a while. The only downside was that there are only two single-person bathrooms, so you may have to wait a little if it gets busy. Overall, we really enjoyed our visit and would definitely come back again, especially when it's a little less busy!

They have a lovely selection of desserts to accompany their delicious coffees and teas. Lots of indoor and outdoor seating. Parking is street parking only.
