I was so impressed with this bakery inside the Zion supermarket! The mural on the wall is cool and represents SD very well. The entire bakery area is exceptionally clean, organized, and beautifully maintained. Every display case was fully stocked with an incredible variety of fresh pastries, cakes, breads, and desserts, making it hard to choose just one item. The pastries were absolutely delicious--fresh, flavorful, and perfectly baked. The cakes were not only tasty but also beautifully decorated and looked like they came from a high-end bakery. You can really tell that a lot of care goes into both the presentation and quality of everything they make. It's refreshing to find a bakery that consistently offers such a great selection while keeping everything looking spotless and inviting. I ordered the Pastry Frank, which had buttery, flaky dough wrapped around a frank- simple but really satisfying. I also got a hot hazelnut coffee that tasted freshly brewed. We used to love this place (when it was at the former Zion market location and a much bigger bakery) but clearly, it has changed. When I pay $5+ for a pastry, I expect that it is not going to be stale but that's what I got. I got a cream cheese and blueberry pasty and the first bite was so stale, I was shocked... It was more than 'day old' quality...like several days old. I saw a woman restocking certain pastries but the one I got should have been tossed because it was beyond its expiration. My husband got the 'King Cream' with custard inside and that was good. We had taken these 'to go' so I couldn't just return to the counter and tell them mine was no good. Either way, when you can't count on the quality, it's just not worth it. We don't plan to return (or go to any other Paris Baguette locations) as it has gone downhill in terms of ensuring quality. I've been a fan of this Paris Baguette ever since they are first open at the Zion market. I've always get my cake there.. sometimes my daughter just randomly asked for a whole cake just because. The blueberry and berries is our favorite. This year I saw the chocolate cake and it looks so good so I decided to try. It was so good and not to sweet. It taste like they used quality dark chocolate. My kids also love the chocolate, custard, and the whip cream breaf. This time I got the ham and cheese croissant. It wasn't as crispy and flakey as I'd like. I think if I took it home and tossed in the toaster oven for a few minutes woulda done it wonders. They do have coffee drinks which are a great complement to many of the pastries. I think I might stick with the chocolate croissant that I usually get from then. Service was friendly and efficient. The cases showcase anything your heart desires from sweet to savory. I quickly grabbed a tray as I circled all the choices before narrowing it down to my top three. After filling my tray I brought it to the cashier to be rung up with an iced fall coffee to get back on the road again. The staff was happy and constantly restocking leaving no hungry belly behind. When I'm craving a real croissant I like to stop by Paris Baguette. Many local bakeries price croissants closer to the $10 range and I simply cannot justify that. So, when I want a real croissant I know I can stop in and get a very good basic croissant. I really love their plain butter croissants and the ham and cheese croissant. They are perfectly flaky and when they warm them, they are wonderful. I've tried many other pastries, but the croissants are my favorite. I like the coffee as well and they are priced on average with most other coffee shops. The issue I have is many times my drinks have been taken and they don't do much, but say they will remake it. I also pay for the flavored syrups and they give you half a pump, so you don't really get much flavor and you are paying a ridiculous amount for that syrup. Their nutella cold brew and nutella latte were favorites of mine, but I like an iced latte with vanilla as well. You can download their app for offers like a free pastry with a beverage purchase or a cake slice for your birthday. You can also earn points, but they do expire so I never earn enough to redeem anything. read more

I hyper fixate and when I saw that Paris Baguette had a couple of bags up so I jumped on the opportunity. For around $7 I was able to pick up a little baggie of goodies, when I usually go I can spend so much money on 5 pastries so I was really stoked to get a pan chocolate, pan swiss, almond croissant, red bean donut and a chocolate croissant for just $7. I had the pan swiss this morning and it was delicious, so flaky and buttery and the perfect amount of sweetness. When I picked up my bag, it was pretty empty and the cashier was so fast, had me check my app and got it without any issues. I kid you not, it smelled so good just getting it. Soft opening was today! You have to come and try this NEW Paris Baguette inside the NEW Zion marketplace. I'm a fan but even more so today as I saw all the variety of pastries and drinks that they employ. Of course some patience is needed but they have a full set up going on now. The service is great and the decor is beautiful. You have to come and try all the flavors and cakes. There is a clear window to see workers baking and you can trust that this place will be a great post grocery shopping spot. We will definitely be back and I am excited to see how things develop here. Had to make a stop while in San Diego and YES! They had my favorite green tea! We had so much fun with Percy, such a sweet and friendly young lady who provided amazing service! They offer the same delicious baked goods as they do back home in Chandler. First time trying the Opera cake and Percy was exactly right, it was like blighting into a chocolate candy bar. If you like chocolate, this is the one for you. They were a little (or a lot wipes out) because of Valentine's Day, but they still had plenty of yummy left for me and my 3 friends. This is located right inside the new location for Zion market, just like the old one was. It is fairly large and there are even a few tables inside. There's a big window into the kitchen where you can watch them preparing the baked goods. This location can get very busy and it turns into absolute pandemonium. Mobile orders get mixed up and go by the wayside and the line can get really long. otherwise, the baked goods are of Paris baguettes high standards, and the drinks are good, I especially like their Matcha lattes, which are the best I found so far. read more

Unfortunately, I am very sad to say that the cream tasted really old and it was different from previous slices I had. Cake coating was dried. You can see from the difference in color. I believe this cake has been there for 1-2 weeks, displaying old cakes and selling them for $7 each. I was expecting a good quality, fresh cake but this was absolutely subpar. Gross! One of the glass doors to the pastry case is broken so they are leaving it open! I saw flies buzzing around inside the case so I spoke to the cashier about temporarily putting plastic or paper there and she asked me to speak to the manager Nigel -who refused to cover it to maintain sanitation. After trying Paris Baguette, I'd rather go to 85. Their pastries just don't have quite the deliciousness that I'm used to. They look very pretty and they weren't bad by any means, but I'd prefer 85. I did get to try the cronut and I appreciated that it was fresh. They were regularly restocking the pastries to continually put out fresh product. I've had some of the cakes from here before including one covered in fruits. Again, very pretty, but nothing special in my opinion. The customer service at this place is garbage just like the food. I placed an app order for a smoked sausage bread, pastry frank, and a slice of red velvet cake on the 21st. En route one of the employees called and said they were out of the red velvet cake and I would be refunded. Here we are TWO weeks later and I STILL don't have my refund and I have called AND went up to the store and they keep telling me a manager will contact me. GIVE ME MY REFUND! Now let's talk food and more bad customer service.
