A few moments later the therapist says "first time come here?" I replied yes. Then therapist says "here you pay minimum tip $50 ok?". I said I will tip based on how well my massage was. After that I got the worst massage ever. I got up and only tipped $20 and left. It's a hustle here folks. Do Not Come here it will ruin your day! When it came time to tip- we gave $10/each and the blonde masseuse pretended to not know English and demanded we give her a 44% tip! She was so awkward and wouldn't let us peacefully leave until we doubled the tip just to get out the door. Very bad people. I'm a coming back customer but they don't answer phone calls during their working hours listed in yelp. What's worse is that no one showed up when I went there for my massage appointment! Very very disappointed that they wasted my time. I called them a few times during working hours on last Saturday and this Monday and nobody answered the phone. Finally they called me back and scheduled me for 5pm on Wednesday. I was looking forward to it. But when I showed up at the door at 5pm Wednesday nobody answered the door. I called them a few times but went straight to voicemail box. She shorted me a bit of time (not counting the time I was left laying there while she answered/greeted customers). In the mood for a deep tissue massage, I consulted Yelp for a place that was close by, preferably in walking distance from my place in Hollywood. I called and was able to make an appointment for a few hours later. I walked over, and got a little bit turned around at first, even in my own neighborhood. I didn't realize that it was inside of a plaza. It is right above the 7-Eleven on Highland & Yucca. I walked in and the place seemed very slow. I told him I was there for my appointment, and they asked me if it was OK if a male did the massage. I told him I didn't mind and they escorted me to my massage room in the back. They said somebody would be in shortly. There was no place to hang my clothes so I just put them in a little box by the bed. There's pretty much nothing in there except for a bed and aforementioned box. It was dimly lit in a very small room. I was greeted by my massage therapist shortly after. The massage itself was nice but definitely not the best deep tissue I have had. One of my favorite parts of getting a massage is the scalp massage at the end. I didn't get one, and I had purposely not washed my hair all day for that! Also, he didn't pay attention to my lower back or my feet which are areas that I normally need the most. I did feel relaxed, and he worked a lot on my neck which I really needed because I travel a lot and that is always bothering me. Overall, I felt good and relaxed after the massage and I wasn't too sore the next day. However, I do not feel as though I will be returning because I've gotten better deep tissue massages in this area. I believe it was $60 in total including tip. A bit pricey for the service. Not sure about the parking situation since I walked, but I would imagine that you would be able to park in the plaza lot if you can find a spot. read more

It was an average massage with use of numerous different techniques including rub down, forearm, pressure, stretching, and the gentleman standing on my table and putting all of his weight into my back. Very professional draping. I didn't like that it's cash only, he spoke limited English and couldn't tell me the difference bw their types of massages, my "room" had only a curtain divider so I could hear everything they were doing/saying also. I got the Swedish massage with the free hot stone addition (it was a promotion) for 60 minutes. The place is in an​ outdated-looking shopping center, but the space inside is clean if simple. The woman greeted me there and escorted me to my room. The only thing I did not like about the massage bed was that there was no actual hole for your face when you had to lie face down. It was just a round, neck pillow -- hard to breathe. The woman was very nice and was very patient with me when I had to blow my nose (unfortunately​ I had a cold). You have to pay in cash/card before service. If you pay with card, there is a $2 fee. At the end I tipped her in cash. They have a chart with emojis that details how much tip you should give based on the service. $10 was the minimum for ok service. I gave $20 but felt that was a lot for a $50 massage. The hot stones were a nice addition and it was great they had a promotion for any $50 massage. It's a good price for the amount of time you get. This place filled a void that I didn't know I had. We were being tourists and had some time to kill before going to a Jimmy Kimmel live taping. This place popped up on yelp, and I'm so glad it did. It's a place that i wouldn't expect anyone to stumble upon. It's on the second floor of a somewhat shanty strip mall of sorts. I'm so glad we walked in (though we did call 20 minutes ahead to make sure that they could take us). We asked for the deep tissue massage, and were told that there was a special, only $39 for an hour, instead of the advertised $45. It is a combination of getting massaged by the feet of the staff (stepping slowly on your legs and back), thai massage (stretching you and contorting your body a bit), and the traditional deep tissue massage with their hands. They worked out tension that I think had been there since I was born. This is probably not the place for someone super modest, as at the end, to get my shoulders really deep, the towel that was covering my front couldn't really stay where it was, but I didn't really care. If you'd rather hold onto your tension than have a masseuse see your rack, then this might not be the place for you. But, if you like feeling like your body will be in better shape from a massage that focuses on tension in the soles of your feet, to your neck, the do yourself a favor and go here. And bring cash, as it's cash only. (There is an ATM inside). read more

Just moved to the Hollywood Heights area this week and I was way to tired and sore to drive to one of my usual massage spots. Given this place was around the corner, I figured I give it a go. They've just recently opened the place is clean and new, don't let the fact that it's in this little strip mall deter you. I requested a thai/deep tissue combination and had a lovely girl name "Kay (or Kake)" work on me. Her deep tissue was good and she spent a very good amount of time on my tight neck. I'd say her thai massage was much better in terms of walking on my back, applying pressure with her feet and stretching me. Compared to Thai Barai, where most people on the east side goes, I'd say it's a good alternative if you're in a time crunch or a tourist staying at the Lowes or one of the nearby hotels, but I won't trade them for my regular massage therapists. I would ask them to easier on the oil they use or bring your own if you're sensitive to oil vs. cream. Nice people and I'll be back. read more

The therapist who worked on me (Kake) was ahhhh-may-zing!!!! Quite possibly one of, if not THE, best masseuses I've ever encountered. She did a PHENOMENAL deep-tissue and managed to work out a knot under my left shoulder blade that NO ONE has been able to do successfully. Yes, it's in a strip mall in Hollywood (but, hell - what ISN'T in a strip mall, anymore??) and parking can be tough, but if you're commuting home from work and heading up Highland to get on the 101, you'd be remiss in not checking this place out on your way home from work one night. read more

It's been a while since I've been to Thailand, or even had a Thai massage and this was exactly what I needed. I was cracked, and stretched and contorted in places I didn't know possible. Most cheep and cheerful Thai massages you stay dressed in loose clothing (this website suggests the same thing), but when I got into the room she had me strip down to my underwear / undies / knickers / panties (or whatever you call your bottom undergarments depending on where you are from). Be aware you will show all of your other bits to her when getting stretched, so if you're a woman and this makes you uncomfortable hold onto that towel for dear life! (But then you'll ruin the whole experience, and you're both women, you both have boobs so let them free!) Was $39 paid upfront (down from $45, and afternoon happy hour special), plus tip. They have a recommended tipping sheet on the front desk, I can't remember what it said but I tipped $20, making it still a good price for an hour massage. Fun Fact - there is NO happy ending here. I really enjoyed my massage here. I came in on a Thursday night around 6 PM for a deep tissue massage. The service was friendly and the staff were very nice. My deep tissue massage was sort of a combo Thai massage (walking on me), Thai stretching, and deep tissue. I've never had a deep tissue using feet before, but my masseuse was very competent. I wasn't really looking for the stretching tonight, but it felt good anyway. My masseuse definitely knew what she was doing, and I'm very glad I came here. The shoulder pain I was experiencing is greatly reduced. I wasn't a huge fan of the music, as it was more like children's music almost. But the atmosphere was peaceful and the table was comfortable. Oh and the massage was underwear-on, so those who are shy will probably feel comfortable here. I would definitely recommend and may very possibly return. Let me just say, if I'm getting a massage, I do not want to hear the phone ringing in the next room, people talking loudly and laughing, and the clothes dryer thumping in the other room banging on the wall. My bf paid for a massage that was supposed to include hot rocks, we did not get the service we paid for, they never brought out the rocks and quite frankly I don't even think our massage lasted a full hour. Secondly, the music started getting staticy which killed the entire vibe and it took them about 5-10 minutes to figure out how to get it to stop. You're supposed to be relaxed and enjoy the massage you're getting so your body can heal and you can walk out with less pain than you came in with.
