My friends were always telling me to visit this tea place whenever I visit Orlando. This place is delicious. I ended up going to this place 3 times during my visit to Orlando, I am addicted to this place now. Nothing compares to them. I have tried about 4 different teas here. I have tried the Lychee black tea, the rose pu'er, peach oolong, and their special "the bee." For the teas you can choose to have them with the cheese mousse or none. The cheese mousse is sort of an acquired taste, but you definitely need to mix it so that you don't drink the cheese mousse alone. Otherwise, each of their teas are delicious. The menu is relatively small, so it may not take long to decide on a drink, unless you like everything, but you can easily taste the quality of each of these during different trips. If you want to try one of the specials they have, you won't find it on the menu, like "The Bea" drink I tried. You can easily go to their instagram account to see what they have, and show the employees the drink when you order so that they know exactly what is in it. Be aware that parking is limited. It is mainly street parking, so busy times will make it extremely difficult to get in and find a spot. For sure to say, whenever I make the trip to Orlando, I will definitely make a stop here. read more

There's a lot of tea places in Orlando already and each month, I feel like a new one pops out, especially in the downtown colonial area. With the abundance of choices, a tea place has to really do things right in order to catch the crowds' fleeting attention and ROYALTEA has done just that. First, their free topping with a yelp check-in is a great idea. The fact that each drink is already going to cost about $5, making the customers think they are saving money by getting a free topping is smart and ensures return. Moreover, the interior design and decor of this place caters to the millennial without a doubt. There are cute potted plants on the wall, seating areas with cute backdrops, and good lighting -- all necessary parts of an instagrammable post. Add their modern looking cups and "cheese foam" drinks, this place is heaven. Most recently, I came with a huge crowd of humans and we filled the space to its brim -- lines outside of the door and around the corner. Yet, the tea makers handled the rush well and churned out quality drinks over and over nonstop. I don't think anyone even had a complaint or had a wrong order given to them. This is my favorite boba place in Orlando!!! Wow I'm obsessed and went twice in one week!! I love the royal tea boba special, just their house milk tea, it's a perfect black tea that almost tastes like it could be the base of Thai tea before they add the spices. They add the perfect amount of milk and boba and their cups come with a cute little heart charm that plugs the hole used if you were going to sip from the lid instead of the straw. A friend I was with tried the cheese foam on a coffee and it was wild! Sweet and tangy- just like cream cheese! They have a great rewards program where you text a code and earn a point for visiting, so keep your receipts! Parking is tricky since they are a street front store, you may get lucky with a street spot but most likely you'll have to pull around back and walk up. What really motivated me to come back was the reward system. Buy 10 drinks, get 1 free. I think YES! Paying $5+ on a one size drink isn't the most ideal but to eventually work you way up to that free drink makes the experience much more worthwhile. Very flavorful, and the cheese mousse and tea go together well, but definitely skip this one if you're not a fan of floral drinks. Lemon Black Tea: Has a lemon and tea taste, but its definitely on the subtler side. Also not sour at all! Royal Bubble Tea: Super good! You can definitely tell that they make everything in house. The milk and tea blend together well, and it's creamy without being too rich. The boba itself is also delicious, and has the perfect amount of chewiness. Peach Oolong Cheese Mousse: Don't get this one, it literally tastes like water. It was so bad that the friend who got it ended up taking sips from everyone else's drinks instead. I love stopping by Royaltea every time I'm in Orlando. Their drinks are about average price but definitely above average tasting. Their tea flavors really come through in the milk teas, and their fruit teas are always refreshing. They're also very accommodating. I wanted to bring a drink on the ride home for my friend so I asked to just have the boba on the side. And they included a little container for the boba as well as a bag to hold everything in. We went to visit the Mills area and saw several additional new places. Just next to King Boa is ROYALTEA. I just had to stop by for a visit to try something new. I remember visiting the area a few months back but this time we came for a visit. A perfect spot for a tiny cool Asian tea shop; I loved the modern contemporary urban feel of the place. So simple, so clean, and stylish; just the feel of it all made us want to order something and chill for a minute. We ordered the ROYALTEA with fruit. So highly recommended by the attendant taking my order. It's the most popular drink in the store and so we both decided on the same thing! The tea was light & clear but filled with thinly sliced fresh fruit which added some sweetness to it. I enjoyed the flavor; served in these most adorable cool cups. I love how businesses add small little details that make this place even more unique. Pay attention to the heart plugs on the lid. You'll need to make a visit here. Stopped by after lunch with my boss and co workers. I have NEVER had a Boba tea so I was lost lol. The cashier Payton R. was so super helpful she explained everything to us she explained what was what. she told me one of her favorites so I took that Cheese Mousse Lychee - black tea with bobas in it. I am not a tea person but it was tasty. I am not a boba fan almost choked on one I didn't know I would suck one up on my first sip. I wish they has smaller sizes it was a lot for me. RoyalTea is hands down one of my favorite bubble tea shops, but it only exists in Orlando to my knowledge, and I wish I could bring it back to Maryland. My group and I visited Orlando and made a trip exclusively to seek out their bubble tea, and we were not disappointed. The modern decor of the shop impressed me but their tea blew me away! Parking was a bit hard to find as there is only street parking in the front but they do have a back alley with a small parking lot to the right of the shop! RoyalTea is a pretty small boba shop to the point where the line ended up going out the door. Many big groups come, but not everyone can fit. The tables are limited and small, but the wall decorations are very pretty. They have small plants on the wall, which compliment the wood, giving an overall cute nature look. Usually, boba shops have a lot of options, especially boba shops in Orlando. Before I get to them, I'll point out that in terms of parking, be aware that the spots on colonial are all good, as well as a few along the side of the building, but the spots behind the building don't correspond to this biz and they may ticket or tow according to signage inside the tea shop. Ok, so here's what we tried: Total fruit tea- my order and my personal fave of the three. This one is perfect for the 'gram- beautiful slices of fruit lining the sides of the stylish cup and topped with basil seeds. It also happens to be DELICIOUS. Subtle tea flavor and lots of fruitiness without being overly sweet. Grapefruit Tea- I tried this one and it was tasty, but we all agreed that the total fruit tea was a better option for a similar style. Mousse matcha with with pudding- This one kind of blew my mind. Sweet, and also creamy in an interesting way. Worth trying! I'll definitely be returning (to grab a tea to go with my boa from next door), and maybe I'll work up the courage to get the cheese topping on the tea... eek!! read more

Updating my five star review with another five star review now that I've tried a handful of menu items. This place is always packed, they caught on with the local community super fast. Great fresh brewed teas and some unique menu options. I've loved everything I've tried so far- the lychee black tea, the royal tea which is your classic black milk tea with boba, and the mousse milk tea which is essentially the royal tea (bubbles optional) with a layer of mousse. It is slightly tart, almost like a liquid cheese cake, it's uniquely delicious. I can't wait to come back for the matcha and the royal fruits tea. The staff are super friendly and fast, and they have a buzzer system, which is helpful as it gets crowded and loud often. Very impressed with this tea place. I highly recommend this place to anyone who enjoys boba! I am very basic and I ordered the traditional royal bubble tea. I usually drink it without any toppings but today they had a promotion on free toppings Tuesday. I ended up getting grass jelly. Although they don't have a lot of topping options like most boba places, this tea shop is still fairly new and I assume they will update more toppings in the future. We also ordered the whole orange tea which is very light and tangy but I liked it for the most part. I definitely would come back to try the matcha milk tea as well as the other milk teas. I came here two days in a row on my recent trip to Orlando because it was that good. I was able to try the matcha latte (perfectly prepared- not too sweet nor bitter), lychee black tea with mousse, cafe latte with mousse, milk tea with mousse, and two other fresh brewed teas. All were great, but what stood out the most was the lychee black tea with cheese mousse. I know it sounds weird, but it really compliments each other. The cup said it was best consumed within thirty minutes, but I took one home and had it 4 hours later and there wasn't a discernible difference so order one now and one for later. Every time a boba tea shop open I get nervous. How can they all survive? Well here is the thing. Royal Tea, in my opinion, is not really a boba spot. Sure you can add boba if you wish, but the teas shine all on their own. My first visit I purchased two fruit teas. One mixed "Royal Fruit" tea and the other a grapefruit tea. Each one had large slices or chunks of fresh fruit which added to the already vibrant flavors of the tea. Served in a large cup with no ice (or maybe the ice melted really fast) the drinks were refreshing and a nice change an iced latte I have to admit. I went back the next day to try to polarizing cheese tea. I chose Rose, and I'll be honest it was way better than I anticipated. If you don't mind a light sweet + salty mixture, it totally works.
