I can concur on a previous poster's comments. Roy and crew (Andrew and Brian are who I work with) are honest, friendly, and knowledgeable (they don't just tell you what you want to hear, they tell it like it is, and then suggest the best approach/solutions). They also suggest ways to perform work that preserves your vehicle (for example, they offer Fluid Film undercoating to protect your vehicle undercarriage in the winter). This auto repair shop, despite what they tell you, does NOT stand behind their work if it is going to cost them money. When you walk into the office area there is a large poster on the front of the counter alerting customers that when a timing belt is replaced, it is essential to replace other "critical components" as well. When this shop replaced my timing belt there was no poster. They replaced only the timing belt and water pump and did not replace, or even make me aware, that other "critical components" should also be replaced. My timing belt was being replaced at exactly the service interval required by the manufacturer (VW). Because this shop failed to replace one of the "critical components" that should have been replaced, that component seized 35K miles later, (timing belt replacement interval specified by VW is between 75,000 -90,000 miles) causing the belt to break, resulting in catastrophic engine damage. Roy, the owner, initially said that if the belt broke as a result of anything they had done, he would fix the car. Well, once it was discovered that the belt broke because one of the "critical components" was NOT replaced, he balked at fixing the car. He claimed that the breaking of the belt was not due to failure of any components that they installed. That is my contention! The failure of the belt was due to components they SHOULD have installed at the time the belt was replaced. Every mechanic and shop I have spoken to after this happened have all unanimously said that part of any timing belt change includes other critical components as part of the change, this is why they sell timing belt kits. The kits included all components that are part of the belt change. We have 4 vehicles that were serviced at Roy's Auto, but they will no longer be serviced there. I will be taking my business back to Pole's Automotive. I changed from Pole's to Roy's mainly because Roy's was more convenient when dropping off my vehicles, it is closer to my home. I don't usually rant and rave on social media but I just had to warn everyone about New Hampshire Auto dealers and I'm sure Mass is the same but one dealer in particular is "Roy's Auto Sales and Service LLC at 153 Ferry St, Hudson, NH 03051. I purchased an almost 7000.00 dollar vehicle from these jerks on Thursday 3/16/2017 and on Monday 3/20/2017 I tried to call the owner (Roy) to tell him that the vehicle had certain components that weren't working but I only got to speak with one of his employees. I told him that the cruise control, the A/C, the overdrive off switch and the E-brake wasn't working. He told me that he would pass on the information to Roy. on Wednesday 3/22/2017 I called again after not hearing from them on Tuesday 3/21/2017 and I was told that I only had a 30 day warranty that covered the motor and drive train but not anything else. I couldn't believe what I was hearing. I told him that the vehicle came with these issues and that I had purchased it only days before calling them with these issues and had they been upfront with me about them that I wouldn't had bought it to begin with. He then tells me that the best they could do would be to look at it and that I could bring it in or drop it off no sooner them Sunday 3/26/2017. So I dropped off the vehicle on Sunday 3/26/2017. Monday the 27th I get a call from who I believe was some lady that sits in the office because Roy the owner now that the sale is done want's nothing to do with me, goes on to tell me that they fixed the overdrive off switch because it was part of the drive train warranty and the e-brake because it was part of the safety inspection but the A/C and the cruse control were considered luxury items and if I wanted them repaired it was going to cost me nearly 900.00. So I ask her why should I have to pay for items that weren't working on a vehicle that you sold me and that I had reported them only days after the purchase . She says because there not covered under your 30 day warranty. Then I said but you sold me the vehicle that way and if you know that these components weren't working from the start then you weren't forthcoming with me and had you been then I wouldn't have bought the vehicle. We went back and forth after that to no end. All I can say is that these people are nothing but rip off artists with a license to sell. They even gave me an inspection sticker on the day I bought the vehicle with an E-brake that wasn't working and that's one of the items that needs to be inspected in order to pass and get an inspection sticker but yet they let me drive off the lot with it not working and had my 30 days expired, then that and the overdrive off switch would have also been my problem to fix and pay for out of pocket. Talk about screwing people over. If any of you are in the market for a used vehicle make sure that you check everything, mechanically and electronically. I went to one other dealer that was trying to sell a vehicle with an exhaust manifold crack. They are all just hopping that you miss something, then it becomes your problem after you sign on the dotted line. Be cautious and definitely don't buy anything from Roy's Auto Sales they're nothing but assholes. read more

I would like to think this was a good place to purchase my red Mazda CX-7 from here. I have had nothing but problems since I bought it the first time I brought it home the check engine light was on they took it back and said they fixed it. Guess what it still has been on since I brought it home. I have not even had the car for 9 months, then the coil had to be replaced. I have spent so much money on it also I kept asking one of the mechanics who work there what the ticking noise was in my car before I bought it. He decided to tell me it was the turbo I looked it up online and it didn't say anything about this type of car ticking, long story short I brought it to Connecticut last week and it kept stalling on the highway. Guess what that ticking sound meant that the turbo is going and now I have to pay $1800 to fix it. When you go to buy a car there make sure you bring an actual mechanic to look at it and to hear it before you purchase it. Also make sure you get an actual warranty and not a 30 day one. After my 30 day warranty was up that is when the owner decided to ignore my text messages and calls. read more

I have been a customer since 2002, first brought one of my cars to him after going to the dealership and being given the usual run around. He fixed it in less than 10mins. Since that day I have purchased used cars (several) for my children and myself. Never a problem. The service here is A+ and the honesty as well. You bring your car in you are told what the problem is and approx how much to repair. They are upfront and honest. No SURPRISES when you come to pick it up!
