Kevin and John came out today to clean out my sewage back up and tank. Both were awesome and did a great job. Within an hour everything was cleaned unfortunately the pump wasn't working but they called a company that can help resolve the issue. We have called Roy's several times for clogged drains and sewer lines and we have always had good service. This last time was the best and I just have to write a review for them. I called them this time for a clogged kitchen sink drain. They sent John G out to us within several hours. Not only did John G clear our drain quickly and with no mess by clearing it through the exhaust pipe on our roof, but he noticed we had a leak in our solar system while he was up there and fixed it. We have used Roy's in the past and they were always awesome, but this time they went above and beyond to fix our sink and toilet. Not only did they come out the same day but I called at 9 AM and they were at my house by 12:15. Jim the service tech was super clean and efficient. When he ran into an issue with our old plumbing He didn't abandon the problem, he didn't leave me to fix it, he went to his truck found some parts and not only put it all back together but got the drain to work again. Christy answered the phone with a friendly "How are you today?" and I answered with "I'd be doing excellently, if it weren't for my clogged toilet." She laughed and said "Well, we certainly need to fix that!" I placed the call two hours ago. Their trucks showed up within 20 minutes and they were done just a few minutes ago - maybe two hours from when my toilet backed up. Really nice fellow showed up with an assistant and went right to work. They had to remove the toilet and grind out a bunch of roots that had grown in the line. Start to finish - less than an hour. I can't possibly be more impressed. Christy had led me to expect about an hour and $500. The actual charge was $460. Yep! I'm a happy customer. read more

I had a slow running kitchen drain that needed to be cleaned from under the sink out to the main. I have a house that was built in the mid 1960's and the pipes need some cleaning about every 18 months. I called Roy's and got an actual person to handle my call. They were able to have a technician ( his name is Ian) at my house within two hours. Ian was very personable, courteous and knew what he was doing. He had the problem cleared up quickly and in a neat fashion. The price was fair and the work was excellent. I will definitely be using Roy's again when the need arises. read more

They quickly figured out what needed to be done and were able to unclog a blockage 135 feet deep in the sewage line, something that about erin had out the day prior was unable to do. This is a mixed review because it is an average of a poor review and a good review since our recent sewer issue was not resolved with the first two crews that were sent out but was with the third. We first had sewer backup issues in 2018 caused primarily by major roots from a Ginko tree in our front yard. We keep all receipts so note that John came out and cleared this and recommended regular (1 to 1-1/2 year) maintenance. In 2020, Curtis came out to clear the line to 130' of cable to the city main and also removed roots. This was done again in 2021, but this year (2022) was different. On January 27th this year, Ian was sent out and only cleared the line for 40 feet and did not remove roots. The sewer backed up again in about 6 weeks so then Mark was sent out on March 17th and ran the line to 70-80 feet where the blockage cleared and went out to around 100 feet, but did not remove the roots. The blockage occurred again in about 6 weeks and this time John and Curtis came out and removed significant roots and went 130' to the city main. Apparently, there are different sizes of cutters at the ends of cables and when there is a blockage such as from roots one can use a smaller cutter to get around them but while this allows for going further down the pipe, it doesn't actually take care of large roots. Instead, one must go back with a larger cutter to remove the roots. This was done in year's past and eventually with John & Curtis but not with the other people who were sent out. On the plus side to Roy's credit, they did not charge for the extra visits to resolve the problem. Nevertheless, it is inconvenient to schedule multiple visits. So I have to give a mixed review and ask that the people running Roy's improve their training, possibly sending out a senior person with the junior one until they get fully up-to-speed. If they do this or otherwise make their entire team more consistent to that of their senior staff, then they would truly be a 5-star company. read more

He took more care getting the rig up the 2 wooden deck stairs than anyone has in the 30 years I've been here - even other Roy's guys. I was really appreciative because I'd just had the deck rebuilt. What a really nice experience! The universe came through when I got Curtis . . . tree branches in my pipes, water was coming up in the showers and I couldn't turn on any faucets. After calling several plumbers (all booked), I called Small Jobs Plumbing (would also recommend) and talked to Zach. They couldn't come out that day. Fast service. I called them in the morning and they came in the afternoon. I am happy with Roy's even though we weren't able to fix the problem during the visit; however, we were able to identify the issue and I was given a good general direction on how to do it myself, and I did it, 85% fixed an hour after Roy's Service left my house, which probably saved me a couple of hundred dollars. We had someone from Roy's come out today to flush out our septic that had been blocked up and was causing waste water to seep into the bathtub. He was able to get it cleaned out and let us know what was going on fairly quickly. He was very professional and was in and out in under an hour. I was a little nervous having someone at the house with COVID but he wore a mask and maintained a safe distance when we had to talk. Would highly recommend them! Great service! Discovered that the shower wasn't draining one night and tried to fix it over night with "green gobbler." The next morning the shower still wasn't draining. I called a little before 8 AM and was set up with an appointment anywhere between 9:30 AM and 11 AM. Got a call around 9:15 AM that the plumbers were on their way. I thought I would need two plumbers because I thought the toilet was gurgling, but nope, I only needed one. It turned out to be just a shower clog and not a sewer problem.YAY! I was only charged for one plumber, which was so awesome and incredibly fair. Both plumbers were professional and hard-working and explained everything to me.
