This afternoon I ended up halfway up a freeway offramp in a car that wouldn't go anymore. It was a hot hundred-plus degrees, nobody was happy being behind a stuck car (tip: the flashing lights mean I'm not going anywhere no matter how much you honk), and I was in a pretty precarious spot. I was stoked to see the AAA-dispatched Roy's Towing truck arrive, and even more so when I met the driver, Johnny. Johnny Is the man. He got my car loaded up quickly and safely and had us out of the danger zone and on the way to the dealership. I was pretty frazzled, but a cold bottle of water (thanks Johnny) and some great conversation during the ride turned things around. Every interaction I've had with Roy's Towing has been timely, safe, courteous, and professional -- but this one was above and beyond. Johnny should wear a cape as part of his uniform because the guy is freakin' superhero! He didn't just rescue me and my car; he saved my day. Thanks! read more

Had to get my truck towed this morning and the guy who came spoke 0 English, took the keys out of my hand and rammed my truck up the tow truck. In the process he popped my tire off of my wheel scratching my beadlock wheels the full way up the truck, I was startled and started to video the experience and LORENZO didn't like that very much, he came to my side said f**k you I'm not taking you (the first English words he had said all day), and then proceeded to hop back in my truck almost ripping off the door handle, rammed it into reverse and drove half the truck off the side. In doing this he scratched my whole under portion of my truck, including my wheels, spindles, lower control arms, and heim steering kit. These guys are thugs! I then called to file a former complaint, and spoke to a guy named Joan or something like that and he proceeded to curse me out and told me to talk to his lawyer. As a teenage kid literally just trying to tow my car to a shop this has been the worst experience you could ever imagine, totaling almost 3 thousand dollars in damages and not even a phone call to show for it. These guys are minimum wage laborers who couldn't care less about the quality of work, just the (15$ a mile fee). DONT GO WITH ROYS TOWING, YOU WILL REGRET YOUR DECISION!!! read more

This type of tow company gives the whole industry a bad name. My young sons had broken down on the freeway. One of them had a regular AAA membership and one had a premium membership with AAA. When they arrived to tow the vehicle they said they would only tow it 6 miles, even though the premium membership allows up to 200 miles. I instructed them to call back AAA and get it resolved. However, the tow truck driver was told by his manager to take their car about 4 miles in the opposite direction of our house and leave the car in an dark and empty parking lot at night, along with my two sons who were still stranded. After I arrived at the dark parking lot, I called AAA again for a tow service again, and Roy's Towing took 4 hours to respond! If you have an option, use another towing service who actually cares about their clients!! read more

This company's practices are criminal!!! They will tow your car from an apartment complex regardless of where you are parked even if you have a placard that says that you are a resident. Also there are 100 cars that do not belong in the apartment complex that they are not towing and knowing that the complex assigned two cars to the same space, then they will charge you 355.00 to get your car out for the first day and 95.00 everyday thereafter. Especially during this time during covid , knowing that people are struggling. Fuck you Roy and your shitty company. At least the Towman had some integrity. read more

Been a while but saw your update so.... Excuses are like buttholes, we all have them and they all smell the same. At the end of the day, my car was legally parked where I lived when it was illegally towed. There's a reason I got my money back the next day, a dozen apologies, a call from an exec of the security company that fucked up, and acknowledgement of how big of a lawsuit it could have been (you're very lucky, you towed a car without evidence or documentation of a violation having occurred on the private property I lived on). Maybe don't work with companies that don't provide evidence and ask you to illegally tow people's cars??? Maybe cancel your contract with that company, and tell them to find someone else because you don't want to illegally tow people's cars??? It's still on you too when you choose to work with a company that makes mistakes that ruin people's holidays and keep them from getting to work, when they've done nothing wrong. Plus you scratched the side mirror on my car, lied to me about my car even being there when i called the first time, only admitted my car was there after I called the police and called back a second time (and you claimed a second time you didn't have it on that call, and continued to lie to me until i said i just got off the phone with the cops and will be calling them again to explain that you guys are lying to me, and then you within 3 seconds were like oh ya you're right we do have it). You were rude disrespectful scumbags every step of the way, and had no empathy whatsoever. I hope your car is illegally towed one day, the same way mine was, and you're treated exactly the way you treated me. Karma is a beautiful thing. With that said, I've used your service through AAA for keys being locked in the car or other events since that. When you aren't illegally towing people's cars, your drivers are pretty nice. Maybe get out of the business of appearing to take kickbacks for illegally towing cars without evidence and on hearsay alone from minimum wage security guards, and focus on the things that you do a good job at (you know, help people instead of illegally tow cars that aren't violating any rules or laws). read more

Today was the first time ever I used my AAA card. They out sourced to Roy's Towing. My car "Bessie" is my baby. She is a 99 Toyota Corolla and is the 1st car I ever bought/owned. Driving on the FWY today there was debrie that flew under her this morning. I saw she was leaking oil and had her towed to my mechanic Tello from T.O. to Vta. Junior was the technician helping me out. He could see how concerned I was. He listened, was helpful, & very professional. He even called my car by her name. He told me he would take care of Bessie & put my mind at ease. I would recommend Roy's Towing Company to anyone needing a helpful hand. They were great! Job well done guys! Thank you! The way jhon and James treated me. I haven't been treated that way from a man In a long time. They told me to stop talking or They would hang up. Called me all kinds of names. I hope they don't treat their moms, wives, or God forbid their daughters like this. The one women I talked too(extremely sweet, didn't get her name though) was of course at the desk answering the phone. it's ran by sexiest men and thank God I wasn't in person and just on the phone or I'd be terrified. I'm so not perfect and I should have handled the situation better of course and I'll admit that. I wish I did and I learned from it but the way they treated me like trash and spoke to me like I was 2nd class? wow. This was my first time using a tow truck service and me not being very auto mechanic savvy I was very nervous and feared the worst. Johnny Y. (Who towed my truck) was a real friendly guy. Very knowledgeable. My wheel had come off the wheel joint and it was hard to load and unload. Not an easy task. But Johnny Y. was able to load and unload my truck without further damage. FALSE ADVERTISING!!!! The my advertised $95 dollars for $125 ., and when I called in the guy refused to honor what they have up on YELP. I needed a Tesla to be towed, so his eyes and brain switched off for some odd reason. . No customer service , horrible ! I was dealing with a flat tire that popped after hitting the curb, while I was frantically finding a shop to help with my tire situation--Juan asked me if I was ok, and talked me through this dire situation.
