Both Joe (the owner), Gabriel (Gen Mgr) and Juan (installer) were patient, careful and Juan took great care in removing my old tires and installing new bands, tubes and tires. Nice guys that work here, but I've called 4 times now to try to get my tires rotated, and they keep telling me to come another time, but always still busy. They don't take appointments, which is very frustrating. I wish they had a way to get in some kind of queue for text updates for times they have "racks" available and I can just come by right away. I'm not sure if I'll be coming back due to them being too busy. A good problem for a busy owner, bad problem for a customer. Everyone that works here is so friendly and helpful! My family comes here very often to get tires mounted and rotated. I was in here last week to get new tires mounted on my car and was welcomed by Matt and David. Mounting the tires didn't take very long so I just stayed in their waiting room and enjoyed my coffee. If you need to get home or anywhere about a mile or two away while they work on your car, they will gladly drop you off. I know that I will always come to California Tire Co. for my tires and alignment! Also, just a tip for other BMW owners: if you have wheel locks, don't forget your key for them! Called three days prior to Saturday to make an appointment at 8 am when they open, was confirmed over the phone to have an appointment at opening. Was only getting a tire rotation and alignment. Should've only taken a half an hour to do. Showed up on Saturday at 8:05 am, dropped my car off and was told it would be done before closing at 3. Told me they would call when it was done. Around 2:15 still no call. We called them and was rudely talked over and brushed aside. We called again at 3 and they still hadn't even started on it. They said it is first come first serve--clearly it is not if we showed up five minutes after opening. We picked up the car without any work done on it. They totally wasted our time. Will not be returning and will be happily taking our business elsewhere. Ownership changed recently, my family has been going for over 15 years and were long term customers. Incredibly unfortunate for what was once a great business. Too bad negative stars isn't an option. read more

I have never been to this store in my life. I came here at 3:53 pm on a Wednesday because I have a leaky right front tire on my company truck. As I type this review, I am sitting in my truck with my dog at 3:56 while a mechanic pulled my wheel off, pulled the tire off the rim and is patching my flat...for FREE! I am floored. NASCAR style pit stop, no charge, no strings. These guys have my business for life. I'm bringing my truck in tomorrow for brakes and 100,000 mile service. My car had suddenly started leaking oil so I took it here to get checked since I had been there before. The leak was not easily visible, but Gabrielle and his team cleaned up the engine and took a good hard look to discover that there was a crack in the engine head. I had a tire that wouldn't hold the proper pressure. I drove into California Tire Company and was waited on quickly. The mechanic found a screw near the outer portion of the tread. He asked the boss if, in his opinion, I needed a new tire. The boss told him to deflate the tire and inspect the inner sidewall for damage. As it wasn't damaged, I was lucky to have it patched. They didn't charge me for their work. I was treated professionally and courteously. There aren't many businesses like this anymore. Needed All-season tires for the winters in the Midwest, and Dean and Matt were able to recommend and get me into 4 high quality tires at an AWESOME price. A friend recommended this shop, and I was not disappointed! Matt patiently worked with me over the phone for pricing and availability, and then he got me in THAT DAY for installation of all four tires. Quick tip: the office (storefront) is not obvious or intuitive. Go to the back of the garage and look for door after last garage (Coke machine just inside door). Go up the stairs and into office to the right. There is a small waiting room. As a guy who knows VERY LITTLE about cars, I HIGHLY recommend this shop as they are FAIR and HONEST. I have been a customer of California Tire for over 25 years. The last few years they have gone down hill and it ain't good. Called today....again. No return of call yesterday. I called and the girl answering the phone said 'she would call right back with quote.' No call back. I only called back today to give them a fair shake. She said they were 'too busy' to get back to me with a quote. So I hung in there and asked again for a quote for my Tesla Model 3. She could not seem to help me and another person got on the phone. They said they would call me back right away.......no call back. My last few visits also were not the typical 'great' service. Actually, below average. Again, I thought maybe a fluke. So I'm going to go ahead and say try other places. Way too many negative experiences with these guys over the last year or two. Maybe change of management? All the good guys left? I've been bringing vehicles to California Tire Co for at least 15 years. Last week, I brought in my car for some tires and brakes. The work was done when promised and it was completed properly. Even though I drive a weird foreign jalopy, they fixed it up at a reasonable price. A lot of shops are like "Sorry, pal. Can't help ya." Not the California Tire Co guys; they're refreshingly helpful. I was out of town once and needed tire service on my truck. I went to one of those giant franchise stores. The whole time, I was cursing that I hadn't gone to California Tire Co before getting on the freeway. Lesson learned. They offer a whole bunch of free services, too, which astonishes me. I've had flats fixed and valves replaced at no charge. Honestly, I would have paid. I can't recommend this shop enough. read more

Wow! This business goes above and beyond for their customers. I had some tire/wheel issues and Gabriel realized I had to replace a hub/bearing and told me to go back to the dealer because it should be under warranty. Well of course the dealer turned me away without fixing anything and said that wasn't the problem. I went back to Gabriel at California Tire and he called the manager at Audi for me and explained to them that it IS hub/bearing problem so Audi fixed it under warranty like they were supposed to the first time. There is more to my car problem story but too long to explain.......end result is always Gabriel fixing it in a timely manner for a great price. read more

I've been here a few times and always had excellent service. I needed a couple of tires today and I know my TPMS light had been on for a while, well, I went to the Honda dealer in T.O. a couple of months ago for an oil change and they told me about the light being on but it would cost me over $250 just to diagnose the problem. I declined. Well, when I got my tires, paid and went out to drive off but noticed they were doing something, the technician had this hand held thing he was checking all the tires with, on his own, didn't ask me or tell me it would cost anything to them check out, which took a total of maybe 4 minutes. They told me two of the sensors were bad and it would cost about $84 each to repair, not diagnose but to actually fix them. I was so impressed and it just verified how great and HONEST this business is. What would have cost me a lot of money, a couple of technicians took a few minutes of their time and checked out the problem for no charge, what integrity! I will not go to any other place for any kind of tire, brake, alignment service, ever! I'm a customer for life. Thank you California Tire! read more
