We were having months long issues with ants that were entering through grout voids, under baseboards, etc. We tried Terro, which as worked for us before, as well as Advion ant gel. The ants seemed to like those baits and take them back to the colony, but just kept coming back. We lost our faith and patience in DIY-ing. Maybe it would have worked if we kept at it, but who knows? We called RPM because of reviews saying that they don't push subscription/recurring services as well as general high satisfaction levels. Everything was great. Easy to schedule an appointment (it was 1.5-2wks out, which was fine). Dustin was friendly, efficient, and happy to discuss the issue and my questions. And best of all, very few ants (like less than 10 total) throughout the house after they sprayed Termidor around the perimeter fence, foundation, and entries. While it didn't take a lot of time and I'm sure the chemicals weren't pricey, the cost considering the value delivered was very fair and reasonable. We'd do it 10/10 times again and we'll call RPM again for any future pest control issues. read more

RPM was great until I had an issue in my crawl space. Then not so great. They were a no show to rectify the issue and didn't even have the courtesy to return a phone call. I received this customer treatment after being a loyal customer for quite a long time. Needless to say; I cancelled and contracted another service provider. I called RPM because we have an ant problem. We noticed that ants were starting to come into our house. I called and left a message. I got a call back within 10 minutes. They were able to get me an appointment with Christian within a reasonable amount of time. Christian was awesome. He was so kind, understanding and punctual. He took care of the problem and did an amazing job spraying the perimeter of our house and also used ant repellent granules. We have a cat that is outdoor and indoor and I was concerned that he might ingest the granulas. He reassured us that it was safe for pets. So far I haven't noticed anymore ants inside our house. We had RPM come out to our house on two separate occasions. Once for them to get rid of some wasp and a second time later in the year to help with these sparrows that were making a lot of early morning noise under the eaves of our roof. Both of these services went well but I want to call out good customer service. On the second visit we were quoted a specific cost to assist with the sparrows and the exterminator that came out finished the job quickly and actually reduced the price that we initially agreed to without us asking. He didn't have to do that but it was a very nice gesture and we will definitely be hiring them again for any future exterminator services. read more

We've had some spider problems in the exterior of the house this year so I decided to go with RPM after reading several recommendations for them on Nextdoor. I spoke with Mike on the phone, who quoted me a price based on the approximate size of the house and the yard. I was promised a 11am - 1pm the next day. Russell called me to say he was 20 minutes away and arrived right on time. Russell was detailed and very professional while explaining his job and the covid measures used to disinfect his clipboard and the pen, which were used to sign the paperwork. Per Russell's advice, I waited a few days before clearing out the old spiderweb. It's been a week since the spraying and I cannot find any new spiders or webs. To top it off, I received a card in the mail thanking me for the business. It was a nice touch! I will definitely call RPM for all future pest service needs. Highly recommended! read more

I needed an exterminator to handle a recurrent ant problem in our kitchen. I got quotes from several places, including RPM, and they were all about the same (~ $250). I believe I spoke to Mike on the phone, who was the most personable and responsive to my concerns of the places I called. This included the fact that my wife is pregnant and I didn't want to use any method that put her in danger. Mike said that they did not need to treat indoors and that the chemical they use is stable shortly after application. They were able to put us on the schedule for the next week. Dustin was the exterminator that handled our house. He arrived slightly early (~15 mins) to our house. Unfortunately our gardeners happened to be working at just that time. Dustin said that because the gardeners were working, he couldn't treat at that time and was crunched for time that day. As a result, we had to reschedule for the next day, but RPM knocked a bit off the price to compensate. Dustin returned the next day and handled the treatment quickly. After about a day or two I saw no more ants. A couple weeks later, things are still looking great. RPM even sent us a nice card thanking us for our business. Russell was great - he reassured us our issue was minor, which we were hoping and provided such relief. You always worry about companies trying to charge as much and they can and go with extreme routes. Thankfully he checked the house, attic and area we think we had a little "guest" and confirmed it's likely just that guy. Ended up costing less and taking much less effort than we thought. Couldn't be more relieved, he suggested one trap and told us how to set up the area to avoid future issues and called it a day. In a few days we'll patch up the spot and hope to have no further issues. RPM was responsive, friendly and sent a nice, caring person out for our issue. 5 stars in our book. We had a very persistent ant problem that needed to be addressed. After calling a few exterminators, we decided to go with RPM for two reasons: 1) There were no contracts involved and we didn't need to sign up for monthly services -- treatment was guaranteed for one month; and 2) RPM wants to disrupt your life as little as possible so instead of spraying inside right away, they spray outside and give you industrial strength ant bait gel on cards to put in trouble spots indoors. Our tech Dustin was very knowledgeable and quick to answer to answer texts as well as being patient with all our questions. Our ant problem was particularly stubborn so it took a few rounds of outdoor spraying and indoor gel but eventually we stopped seeing ants and haven't been bothered since. I had a bad yellow jacket problem in the backyard of the house we moved into recently. Every day, I would see about 50 of them hanging out in the yard and ready to sting if even mildly disturbed. I contacted multiple exterminator services but I went with RPM because they were able to come the same day at a flat fixed price. The only thing I regret is why I didn't call them earlier . A gentlemen Mike inspected my yard and couldn't find any nests , he geared up and sprayed my backyard. It worked like magic , the yellow jackets stopped showing up in a couple of days and I hardly see them anymore 1 month later. The fact that they give a 30 day warranty gave me a peace of mind. I've used this service for 3 years. This review is for the most recent service. The price is pretty comparable to other exterminator companies, perhaps slightly cheaper for "single spray" events. Most of the other ones charge a ton for single spray because they want you to subscribe. Their sprays have always really helped. I mostly just have spiders in the spring and summer, but after the spray, all the spiders both in and outside the house are drastically reduced; almost none. Paul is the service guy and really nice. He is very knowledgeable about chemicals and how to alleviate the bug issues. read more

I manage a rental property and a tenant noticed some cockroaches. Contacted Mike from RPM for extermination options and he was very fast to respond. Was able to identify these were not German cockroaches but drain roaches which are a bit more difficult to treat. Although he could not help due to the home being a Townhouse (difficult to treat whole buildings with multiple owners outside of HOA involvement) and they only do exterior treatment for drain cockroaches, he was very helpful and took the time to explain treatment options in detail and excellent recommendations. He showed concern for the tenant health and pets as well as being straight forward with the treatment options and what he can and cannot do. I noticed a couple of dead cucarachas at the garbage cans at our condo and didn't think much until one casually walked across the kitchen floor as if he paid rent or owned the place. I was able to grab some oven cleaner and spray his ass. Then another one inside, wth? After a dozen years we got damn cockroaches so I called HOA. They had already had someone bait the laundry room so they must've been staggered drunk into our place, and everyone's place in our unit because everyone reported them. Since it's a condo we had to pay to bait the inside. Keith came right away and baited our kitchen, etc. It didn't take long and he said it was gauranteed. UPDATE: I meant to post this a year ago but I guess it didn't post. I placed a call to RPM Exterminators due to a bee hive issue in my backyard. Mike promptly called me back and explained to me my issue was actually a honey bee hive and would offered alternative suggestions for removal since a honey bees should be relocated rather than exterminated. Even though my call was not going to generate any sale for him he spent time out of his day to help me out anyway. I called RPM 6-7 years ago after seeing a single large roach in our kitchen. I called several companies before them and each one quoted me an exorbitant amount of money and wanted to put me on a monthly service plan immediately. RPM didn't do this. They gave me free advice that this was likely just one that got in looking for food and that was that if there were no signs of smaller roaches or infestation. I haven't seen another roach since. So thanks for saving me a bundle by being honest. Now, May 2021, we're having persistent issues with ants which are everywhere around our townhouse community. I called RPM and they had someone out a few days later to treat around our property outside (RPM said they always treat from the outside first and only come indoors as a last resort). He even did a bit of the surrounding sidewalk areas not on my property as we went around to the back yard.
